I thought Rainbows front hair only is red, orange and yellow, and that the normal hair is lilac, blue and green, where the tail contains all colours :o

lol I know right? And I drew that yoshi with slightly more reasonable proportions than how Yoshi is officially portrayed.
I drew joe's yoshi with longer legs, a bigger body, thicker neck, and a smaller nose.
I'd suppose it's just Nintendo's style. The Mario games aren't exactly realistic so Yoshi fits right in.

The Mario world's got all kinds of crazy things (seriously, I can't even list it all off the top of my head!), Yoshi aren't that far fetched.
They're dinosaurs, but in the Marioverse, dinos probably never went extinct. Infact, aren't the rex enemies in SMW dinos too? I think so but I'm not sure.
