A Vaseterm need moon light to live just as much as food, Water and air.

A Silverblood on average can go 3 nights without light of the moon, this can be extended and shortened depending on how much Magic the use, how many vision they have, the Vaseterm eclipse, and for Royals Awakening.

The first night with out moon light, the Silver blood will be fine, but the second night is when they will start feeling the effects, they will be tired and feeling lethargic and a little sickly.
The third night without moon light it will start showing physically,
The individuals coloring will be pal, blood shot eyes with dark bags under them, uncontrolled trembling, trouble breathing even to the point of spitting up blood, for males the feathers on their wings will look worn and ragged. The symptoms will increase the longer the Silverblood goes without moon light even to the point of death.

Because of this toll on a Vaseterm, it was used as a form of punishment or torture.

Unlike food and water that can be given at any time, moon light has to come by the phases of the day to night, this can be life and death for a Vaseterm.

There are however ways to substitute for the moonlight, either by magic or Alchemy.
the Vaseterm and a few other have come up with an elixir to use and help with the recovery of a Silverblood will lack of moonlight.
a healer can use there Magic to sustain them.

Vaseterm also have the ability to give or take energy/ Magic from others

A silver blood can give as much energy as they desire to another, but they have to be careful cuz the more they give the less they themselves have, and can greatly damage themselves or even kill themselves.

When taking energy from others, the other individual has to be willing or it will not work as well and they won't get as much.

( This is something Catch inherited, early in Skey he had the ability to borrow / copy others Elemental Magic with the help of Anna that made the process a little different.

Omen and Ai not only steal energy but the individuals life force, with their chaos Magic )

Even with substitutes, moon light is still the best way for a Vaseterm to get Magic

Moonlight give a Silverblood energy not only in their magic but also physically ( I guess that what I want to call it) how an individual deals with the abundance of energy depends on there personality. But males do absorb more moonlight then Females with there Wings.

Also the more moons the more fun! :D

I'll give some examples

Catch: gets very hyper and childish, he easily persuaded to do things he wouldn't do otherwise and is just as easily distracted (especially with bells) he gets very talkative and forgets about personal bubbles. he not use to the amount of energy and can't sit still for more then a few minutes. Catch would still be considered a Colt to the Vaseterm kind

Omen: depending on his mood can affect different things.
He usually just gets antsy and fidgety,
he can still sit down and have a respectable dinner, though he may play with the silverware a little bit.

Ethan: he still pretty reserved, and keep to himself but it one of the time he loosens up and mite even be able to get him to play.

Victoria: uses this time to get a lot of her queenly duties done, working on paperwork and other stuff.

Jasmine: is a lot harder with training, and more fire up to get in a fight, and gets a little more mouthy.

Neveah: .....is just Neveah, I'm not sure if she could get more crazy then she is.

Now the phases of the Moon have in effect on a silver blood,

1. Full moon.
This is when a Vaseterm gets the most energy, there Magic is the strongest during this time and after taking in it's light. With a full moon a Vaseterm only has to be exposed to it for a few hours to have more then enough to live off of.

2 to 3
is about normal, a Sliverblood get the energy they need
4. A sliver Blood would have to start stay in the moonlight longer to get what they need

5 to 6
This is when a Vaseterm start getting ready for fasting, they will spend most of there time at night soaking in as much moonlight as they can, they will even sleep somewhere why they can be exposed to the moonlight. They are more careful how much Magic they use.

7.new moon.

This is when a Silverblood is foce to fast, there is no moon light for them to absorb, they usually will be fine for a night as long as they don't over do it, but will need to start soaking in moonlight when the moon back to a Crescent.

The Blood moon
The light of a red moon is toxic to a Silverblood, it does the exact opposite of a regular Silver Moon that gives energy, a blood moon take it but worse, it poisons the Silver blood and can even kill them if exposed for too long.

Symptoms
hard of breathing, the long exposure the more difficult and eventually start spitting up blood.

red marking appear Across the Skin, causing wounds to open up and blisters

Intense pain throughout the body, it been described as burning or boiling in the blood, it increases over time.

sclera in the eyes with trun darker, bleeding or blindness can occur.

Difficulty shifting, causing severe pain.

Magic becomes uncontrollable, and can discharge without speaking.

A child that a Female Silverblood is pregnant with, gets exposed to a red moon, will start to become deformed in the womb making childbirth even more difficult and usually kills both mother and child.
The mother life is always lost but in rare cases were the Child lives the infant become immune to the red moon poison but both there forms are deformed,
a long with there Magic and if they are Royals, there familiars are as well.
There's children are called red demons to the Vaseterm kind, and in the old days was ordered to be killed at birth.

If a Silverblood is removed from a blood moon in time, they can recover.

Vaseterm can make barriers around themselves to protect against the poison of a red moon.

( Even Omen has to do this when going to the Shadow Realm )

( I think I'll cover this with the blue moon later, just know one of them makes Silverbloods very aggressive....)

On Deluna things were a lot different with the moons, because of the Magic barrier around the surface of the world, the moonlight affected them slightly different, but I'm not gonna go into that right now, basically they didn't have the recoil effects of the light making them hyper, and there was an abundance of moons so Awakening and using magic have no or little toll on them.
