She turned, the flickering of the blue wayfarer's torch now behind her, and the blinding light of whatever abomination was chasing her now shining in her face. Her heart raced, she was led astray, backed into a corner. Her brain was desperately trying to tell her, fight! But every molecule of her body sung a different song. A song of letting it all go. The cave wall hit her back and she could go back no more. With a horrible slimey gurgle the creature advanced on her.
