AGES/STAGES IN LIFE

Berteri ages are in 5 stages, Egg, Hatchling, Baby, Adult and Deteriating. Their eggs are commonly the same color of their head and have markings that are the wing colors. The Berteri hatch upside down, tail first. Once hatched their wings, mane, tail feathers and head feathers need to dry and fluff in order to be used. Hatchlings have limited movability but can mildly crawl and glide if in danger. They gain their ability to heal once older.

Babies can run and hover, this ave is when they start learning to heal. Berteri are very passive/aggressive so they heal any injured animal they find unless they injure it and it attacked. Babies floof up more as they grow older.

Adults can completely fly, heal and shift to their unleashed forms. Their main goals are protect young, heal others and survive. Survival however, always comes first so they will even abandon their own young to live mainly because their population is a little scarce, at least in their homelands.

Deteriating is the final stage in a Berteri's life, they start becoming Itilins which are basically Berteri who have fully become their unleashed forms and are VERY dangerous, instead of healing they can slowly kill things by making them deteriate. Hints the name deteriating. After being a Itilin for 300 years, the Berteri will finally die for good.

ABILITIES/HEALING
----------------------------
Berteri are well known for their remarkable ability to heal. When healing they can go through 3 stages depending on how badly I hired the 'patient' is.

STAGE 1: Their eyes begin to glow the color of their pupils, White. Then their paw pads glow white too, they can either breath a stream of healing energy or hold their paws on the injury. Usually the healing can be completed after a few seconds or minutes if the injuries are just deep wounds with not a lot of blood.

STAGE 2: This stage the Berteri will start to have it's feathers glow white. Their shell-like head will also crack a little and glow white inside at this stage, they will have their mouth closed. This is used for a lot of blood and minor internal injuries or burns (whether frostbite or 1-3rd degree). They use their feathers to literally draw the blood towards the glowing white and disappear into it then they use their claws to inject their own blood back into them whilst sealing the wounds on the inside with their paw pads. They also can heal poison and inject a cure into the 'patient' after getting a sample with their feathers. However that. Is very uncomfortable because the sample floats out of the mouth, nose, ear or even eyes.

STAGE 3: This stage is when it becomes a little dangerous for the Berteri and they commonly only use it if they are soon to become Deteriating or if the life they are saving is extremely important to the Berteri. In this stage the crack on their head will become full during the end of the healing session, meaning their head will literally become a ball of light changeling energy into the 'patient'. The Berteri cannot die from this HOWEVER they will suffer the horrible fate of having a very likely chance of losing all their healing energy and becoming corrupted. Corrupted Berteri are like Deteriating except they are muuuuch more deadly and can poison things from far distances. Usually the Berteri will tell the one they are about to heal before they die to kill it if they become corrupted before it has to live with being a living nightmare.

There is a very rare birth disorder where the Berteri's egg will be a dark ominous black and red and will be hatched as a corrupted hybrid that is half corrupted, half normal. They would have anger issues and age faster until becoming corrupted at Deteriating stage at the time they should be a Baby then they will be immortal and really hard to kill. Only 3 were known to have this out the thousands of years they've lived as a whole species. One may still be a live but the others are confirmed dead.

UNLEASHED FORMS

This is the not so comforting side of this majestic birb species. If angered or if theirs or an life important to them becomes in danger they will eventually shift to their Unleashed form. This form starts with complete darkening of the eye to a full black while the feathers shed and spikes grow out and dragon-like wings replace third feathered wings. Their talons become spiky and their claws become jagged and much longer. The Berteri can take energy from their opponents and use it against them. I can go into more detail but really is depends on age and the Berteri themself.

REPRODUCTION

There isn't too much detail I can go into for this but this is mainly eggs n stuff. The Berteri female can lay up to 3 eggs, the amount of time it takes for an egg to fully develope is 6 months-1 year. There is a chance for the egg to be a 'dud' and will have nothing inside this isn't very common but if you guys care about making a Berteri ship and wanna do that there's info for that anyways next one xD

COLORS: Rare or not

The common colors for the mane, are at most 4 colors that correspond with each other like on Kin: Bright blue-Sky blue-Navy blue- purple. The feathers on the head, wings and tail are usually similar or the same.

Their heads are pale colors that look a little close to the other colors like a mint green with blue for example. Or light yellow on orange. Its pretty simple but an important factor is the pupil is ALWAYS white, small and heart shaped x3

Egg: 1 foot tall

Hatchling (standing on back feet with neck stretched): 1 foot and a half

Baby: 2 feet

Adult: 9 feet

Deteriating: 13 feet

Corrupted: 20 feet o.o

Then corrupted hybrids:

Hybrid egg: 4 feet

Hybrid hatchling: 3 feet

Hybrid baby: 5 feet

Hybrid adult: 20 feet

Full corrupted hybrid: 35 feet!

HOMELANDS
----------------------
Berteri use commonly live on their homeworld Eril, sadly the predator there's has been wiping out the species and strange portals are bringing them to sylyore. They are quite endangered as of right now but the species has a chance in sylyore.

DIET/COMMON BEHAVIOR
------------------------------------
Berteri eat a variety of fruits and plants they use their dull teeth on their bottom jaw to chew and their beak to stab fruit off trees. Their common behavior is passive unless angered enough to shift to their u unleashed forms.

Interacting with each other is usually small chirps and various calls and movements with their wings and head. Bobbing their head is a sign of affection and flapping their wings are basically a threat to one another or a mating dance.

As for interacting with other creatures they raise their heads and make a very loud screech to intimidate or threaten a predator or attacker. They make soft purring as affection and growl if scared.

They hate water and love to fly. They also live in trees on trees in caves, mainly on high grounds.
