Ask 5 by dracarnius

"I'd lend it too you but I donlt want the risk of you erasing my history, now do I?"

Bookkeepers in Occultia are those in charge of keeping records of the citizens lives, there are giant libraries full of enchanted books (one for each person) constantly writing each detail of their lives. When a person dies, their book closes and is put on their family shelf, at this point their history becomes absolute and cannot be changed, (except from divine intervention) #AskTBB #MrMD #TBB

While a persons book is active (ie while theyre alive) it can be editted and even future events added, therefore only bookeepers, the divine four and Celestia are permitted to read and write in a book. There are some exceptions to this however this requires going before the council and the four and even then the physical writing must be done by a bookkeeper. There are only a few people without books, Celestia, Mr Mallone Devond himself (he writes his own life book) Semparans, and demons and spirits.

Woah, now that wasn't what I was expecting. Very cool!

And I'm really liking Mr Mallone already. The way he talks...

Mr Mallone-Devond is actually one of my most popular characters despite originally only being a side character, and I made a spin off series of fics about him lmao

He's such a great character and wonerfully creepy (keeps weird things in jars for existence)

Also I love the way he speaks, it was a fun one to develop
