Definitely not a boring birb. If you're really worried about things being perfect, I would say post WIPs and see peoples reactions and get their inputs. See what needs to be changed and finalize it. It helps to get someone else's point of view or thoughts on a drawing.
and who knows, maybe you could find moments to add a tad bit of comic relief into your story, even if it is minor so that it's not just super serious throughout.
