The Vyterr; (ok here goes)

In general they are a very intelligent species that have an aptitude in crafting and inventing. They have quite the advanced technology although it is quite different from anything we have today. They have a hierarchy with the ruler claiming the emperor position and then the ladder goes down from there all the way to simple worker.
Quick simmary of their abilities/quirks:
-Thermal vision; in the absence of eyes
-Ambidexterous in all 4 hands
-Diet of, nectar, fruits, flowers, treebark and some roots and fungi they have been known to eat meat although only if their life depends on it, it makes them very sick.
-Agile no matter how lazy their lifestyle is.

The more jewels a Vyterr has the higher their social status, even what the jewels are made of counts with iron being the most accessible then silver, gold, gemstones, and highest being platinum.
Silks are a delicacy as they ususally go without wearing cloths or clothes focusing more on jewels. The silks are quite hard to get and only the very wealthy get them.

Now the callouses on his feet; that trait is hereditary which means that it passes down from his forebears not every Vyterr has 'callouses' they act more like birthmarks for the species.
