Vaseterm are creatures of magic were they get this Magic is from Moonlight, a silver blood need it to live just like food, Water and Air, a blood moon however is toxic to a silver Blood it drains them off there energy poisoning them and suffocating them.

His mother gave birth to him earlier because she
was exposed to a blood moon, do to the strain and the effects of the red moon his mother died shortly after his birth.

Moonlight is crucial to a new born Vaseterm but because of his exposure to a blood moon his body became deformed most infants die with in hours of being born but he some how live,
his father because of the law at this time was suppose to kill him for what he was, but because of his mother last wish, his father couldn't bring himself to take the life of his only child, he fled with his son.
