Ever since the incident between his and Ren's encounter (along with his wife in #ReSa, good god was that a nightmare... o-oi) Florence has had a lot of anxiety along with other issues due to being upset over the fact he "killed" his son in "cold blood".
He knows it was the programming he was forcefully installed with many years ago, but he still takes the blame for it.
Poor guy... Luckily he eventually starts to feel better over time.
