smiled and stroked his daughter's dark brown hair.The child opened her eyes slightly and looked up at her parents."Her eyes shimmer like sapphires,just like yours Sakura."Sakura smiled.Suddenly,two bright young reploids,a red one and a blue one,came dashing in.
"What is it mother?"The red one asked.Omega looked at the small red reploid.
"Zero,meet your new sister,Alpha."Omega said.Zero approached his father and looked at his new sister.
"May I hold her?"He asked.Sakura nodded and kneeled down to Zero.
"Please be careful with her."Soon,Zero had Alpha cradled in his arms.
"Hi there lil' sis."Zero whispered.
"Aww!She's adorable!I'm jealous!I wish I had a sibling like yours!"The blue reploid remarked.Zero smiled.
"X,I'm positive that Dr.Cain has given the love you needed.I'm sure."Zero cast a glance at X.X shrugged.
"I guess...Hi Alpha.Ooh!Your kitty ears are adorable!"X remarked as he stroked Alpha's jet black ears.The child giggled and grasped for X's arm.Zero chuckled and handed his

sister to his mother.
"She's got a bright future ahead of her.Just like her siblings."Omega's eyes shone with pride.However,once Zero and X left,Alpha let out a pulse of energy and cried out.
"Oh dear!It's okay Alpha.I'm here for you."Sakura hugged Alpha and stroked her between the ears.The chikd remained trembling in her mother's arms."Omega?"
"Yes honey?"Omega turned back to his wife.
"She's growing quickly,but she wields an unearthly power...I'm unsure if we can take care of her..!"She looked up from Alpha to her husband with worry in her eyes.Omega approached his daughter and gently stroked her face.
"Sakura,I'm afraid to say this,but we won't be able to raise her properly.We'll have to send her to a place that can teach her how to use her power."He looked at her with grief.Sakura stared at her in disbelief.
"Will she remember us?"Sakura asked.
"I don't know.."Omega shook his head slowly.
"But she needs support!Without it,she'll die!Sakura put the child down with tears streaming

down her face.Omega hugged his spouse and stroked her.
"Sakura....I know it'll be tough,but we want what's best for her.I promise we'll see her again.Just when the time is right."Sakura looked up at Omega.They stared in silence for a while.Sakura sighed as she considered the thought.
"Very well.Do you know of any places that can raise her?"
"Positive.A dear friend of mine might be able to help Alpha with her fellow SunriseWarriors.They are a spiritual class of people who've worked with cases like this."Omega nodded.
"Very well,if you think it's going to work out.."Sakura began.
"I'm sure it will.Cloudstream's a reliable reploid,and Alpha will be well cared for in her support."Omega assured Sakura and stroked her.He stood up and called out."Zero!"As if on cue,Zero dashed into view.
"Father?What's wrong?"Zero looked up at Omega with sky blue eyes.
"We need you to take your sister to the SunriseMonastery."Zero stared at Omega in disbelief.
"But...but Alpha just came!Why?!"
"Zero.It's for

her own good,but don't worry,my son.When she turns 12,you'll see her again and bring her home."Omega kneeled down to Zero and wiped a tear from Zero's eye,Zero sighed and looked at Alpha.He carefully picked her up and hugged her.
"Okay...I will do it.I want her to grow up a strong reploid.Where's the Sunrise Monastery?"
"In the outskirts of the kingdom.Follow the Warrior'sTrail and you'll find the gates of the SunriseMonastery.Zero nodded as his father told him how to get there.
"I know it may be a tough journey for you,but you're very strong for your age."Sakura kneeled down to Zero and hugged him.Zero left the room and looked back at his parents.
"I won't let you down."His eyes shone with determination and dashed off.He sped down corridors and out of the palace.As he sped through tne forest,lightning struck,thunder boomed,rain poured down.Alpha woke up and cried out.
"Shh!It's okay!I'm here."Zero gently stroked his sister's head and stopped.He looked back as if someone was following

him,like a predator stalks for its prey.He trudged through the forest as the rain continued splashing on the ground.Before he knew it ,the SunriseMonastery was only a few feet away.
"We're almost there Alpha.Just hang in there!"Zero approached the doorway and stopped.Alpha was sleeping again.
"I'll see you again,'lil sis.I'll see you in 12 years."He whispered in her ear.He approached the door and knocked on it.He heard footsteps from the inside.The door opened another figure,a female.
"Why hello there!What brings you here?"The kimono'd reploid asked.
"I'm Prince Zero if Arcadia.Son of King Omega and Queen Sakura.My father sent me."Zero dipped his head in respect.The reploid gasped in astonishment and bowed.
"A message from the king.Peace and light,Prince Zero.What is it your heart desires?"The reploid asked.Zero stood up and looked at her in the eye.
"Mother had recently brought my sister into the world,but they're afraid that they cannot take care of her:she wields an unearthly power.

Please!She needs someone who can take care of her and teach her to use her power,and you're our only hope!Please!"Tears streamed down his face as he pleaded.The reploid kneeled down and hugged him.
"Zero.It's going to be okay.She will be well cared for here.When she's of age,you may bring her home."The reploid stroked Zero's head.He hugged her as a tear rolled down on his cheek.
"Really?"Zero stared into the reploid's calm silver eyes with hope.
"I promise.Please come in!It's far too dangerous to go out travelling!The lightning may fry your circuits!"The reploid coaxed Zero inside the monastery.She led him to a room with two beds,one suited for a newborn,and one for a child Zero's age.
"Thank you ma'am.What's your name?"Zero set Alpha in the crib and looked at the other reploid.
"My name is Cloudstream.I'm a healer for the SunriseWarriors.If you need anything,just ring the bell by the door and someone will come."Cloudstream hugged Zero goodnight and left.Zero looked at Cloudstream as

she left.He looked back at Alpha,who was fast asleep,snug as a bug in a rug.It was going to be 12 years since he was going to see her again.
"It's going to be alright,sis.You'll grow to be very strong.You're in good hands now."Zero was about to go to sleep when hebsaw his emerald necklace.He grasped the jewel and stared into it for a moment.He cast a glance at his sister and back at the emerald.He took off the necklace and put it around Alpha's neck.
"Here.The emerald has properties that will protect you.I'm sure you'll learn how to use it carefully."Zero stroked Alpha's face gently.He was going to miss her,but he knew it was for her future's sake.He lay on his bed thinking about how Alpha would turn out after comming of age.
"She'll be great..."He thought as he drifted to sleep.
