Thankyou all :D... yes its a boxer and yet another drawing I've gone over the playback limit, I can only watch the playback myself after its posted on the gallery because if I watch it after a certain amount of time it plays to the end of the limit, exits and saves which means everything after the limit is lost, so sorry again hopefully jens will get it sorted in the next update :D
Your pup is absolutely gorgeous. The fact that people mostly faves zelda and other game related stuff might be because they bought colors just for fun and are mainly playing games with their 3ds (if it is 3ds they are using colors with - like me). What they do is that they actually fave the games and the characters and maybe someones ability to replicate those. I think the question is more about the people being more game-oriented than our art being poor or something. Nintendo 3ds draws gamers towards it - because it is mostly a game consol - and you can see it here on the colors too. But be sure that your art is simply amazing and a pleasure to the eyes and as long as you know it's value what others think of it does not matter. Draw because it is fun and you love it and do it for yourself. If others (like me) find your art fantastic, it is an added bonus but not the reason behind your talent! If you can think like this, you'll enjoy arts more and get more out of them. It is our relation to the artfs that counts in the end!
Your right Possu, its not that it bothers me whether or not my work gets likes, it really doesn't and like you say its a bonus if people do like what we draw, I also only use the 3DS and colors for fun and a bit of a stress relief :). Its just I've been with colors now for around 3 years and have about 100 pictures in my gallery back before 3DS your 'Does this make you smile?' picture would have been more appreciated it just saddens me a little that people/artists like yourself put time and effort into a drawing for something like zelda to top the weeks charts. Your also right that colors is now a toy app before 3DS you had to be more dedicated because for starters you needed to buy a R4 card to run colors plus other things and it was way more complicated than what it is now, so I suppose it just the sign of the times anyway I'll keep a look out for your art its a pleasure to find someone who thinks about art the way you do and good luck with what ever you draw next :D
:) Thank you for your kind words as well. I admit its a bit sad that colors have become more a toy app than arts app... 3DS gives so much possibilities for artists too and its actually fun to be able to do art in 3D - which we haven't been able to do before. I know that many off us uses colors at least partially because of the community; its always nice to be able to get feedback and other's opinions on what you do - this way you develope as an artist. For that reason all the game stuff and other 'grab' is a bit frustraiting. It hides 'proper' artwork under it - and us who would love to be reckognized... But after all, behind those game and other stuffs are real people too and my guess would be that quite many children. I'm not into spoiling the fun from them :D. Lets give everyone the chance of enjoying colors the way they want to. It really doesn't matter who is found on the week's top charts. It only tells us what people like here and what kind of people uses the app =). I'll be looking forward to seeing your new paintings too (I'll just hope I'll catch them as there isn't any good system for like watching your friends), greetings from Finland and keep up your awesome arts!
he he i shall have to show this to my daughter micky, her akita acually does this when she says high five and holds her hand up, you have a great knack for picking pictures to paint :) brilliantly drawn and as im sure will be on most comments very cute :)***
