Yuri was amazed about how sweet the fruits taste it could be seen on his smile on his lips. "I-is it really okay..? " he asked he didn't wanted to be a burden

He laughed.

-Come on, take them all. I'm not hungry.

Yuri nooded then a little thinking eating quietly smiling just a little. "Oh I can catch something later maybe I get the bunny this time" he said grinning

-Do what you want to do. But if you want meat I though I might be trying To find a market somewhere where I could get some bread, meat and vegetables. And maybe some candies... He whispered, bitting his lips.

"I-i wa-want to help.. I want to do something useful something helpful.. " Yuri spoke quietly he wanted to help somehow but didn't knew another way.
"what is candies..? " he asked confused

-Huh? You don't know what's a candy? He asked as he looked at Yuri. Yeah... indeed it's rather logical... He though. It's like... erm... I don't really know how to explain, but it could be just sweet, it could be chocolate... I'll try to buy some and you will try if you want.

"Oh its sweet is it like a fruit fruits are sweet" he said smiling lightly

He shrugged his shoulders.

-Yeeeeeaaaah... kind of. But candies are even more sweet.

"Ohhh okay" Yuri thought about it he wondered how those candies could be catched

Then Gabriel got up and stretched himself.

-I will try to see if there's a market near here... You could try to catch your bunny while I'm not here. He said as he put his cape on his shoulders.

"Yes I will catch food for us" he said determined smiling brightly and excited

-That's nice. He said as he pet Yuri's head. But be careful, ok?

He took his bag and flew away from the cavern.

"I promise" the little boy smiled brightly he went out the cavern and sat out side on the ground trying to feel if anywhere near by was a bunny

The angel flew for at leats 20 minutes before finding a village where there was a little market. He landed a little further to not be seen. He hid his wings before going there.

Yuri soon felt the little movements of a bunny. He smiled and slithered carefully closer to the movements. Trying to be as quiet as possible

Later, when Gabriel was buying bread, the seller looked at him with attent.

-I've never saw you here, the adult said. Are you new?
-Huh? Er... no. I'm just a traveller.
-At your age?
-Yes.
-Well... it's good to see a little further than home.
-Yeah it's good.
After that, he had everything he wanted, so he leaved the village and returned to the forest.

The bunny was still young so wasn't very conctuis it didn't noticed the small snake boy getting its scent before ot could react Yuri got it and bit into its neck to kill it just like his instincts told him.

When he arrived to the cavern, Gabriel posed his stuff on the floor and removed his cape. He noticed Yuri wasn't there, so he went out of the cavern.

-Yuri! I'm back! Where are you? He called.

Yuri felt with his ability the way back then already heared Gabriel and made his way even quicker. "Gabriel! Gabriel look look! I got a bunny !" the little boy spoke excited he had blood on his mouth from killing the bunny

Gbariel saw Yuri coming from afar.

-Ah! You found a bunny! Congratulations!

But when Yuri was closer to him, he saw the blood on his mouth.

-Oooooow... you killed it like that. He said, a bit chocked. Don't you want to wash your face before lunching? He asked with a smile.

"yes like a big boy! " he said actually pretty proud of himself that he was able to do that smiling brightly. "I will wash my face" he promised.

-Good! You're a true man, now. I'm proud of you. He said brightly. Give me your bunny, please. I will see what I can do with it.

Yuri gasped in excitment as Gabriel praised him. "Thank you so much" he holded the bunny up to him. "I'm gonna clean up my face. "

-Alright. He said as he took the bunny by the ears.

Then Gabriel realised he was all dressed in white so he went to his bag and put on a old sweater that his friend's brother gave to him. He took a knife too and started to remove the bunny's skin, grinning.

Yuri went outside smiling he felt so happy like he hadn't in a long while he felt like Gabriel was more of a family as all he ever head. He put his hands on the ground to feel if he could find the river but couldnt so we took some what grass to clean his face

Once he had finished removing the bunny's skin, Gabriel went out the cavern to find some wood to make a fire to bake the meat. Luckily, he find some little sticks and branches. He put them in front of the cavern and took a lighter that his friend's brother gave him too and set fire to the wood. The angel blew tirelessly for the fire to light properly. Finally, a big flame appreared. He smiled, proud of him.

As soon he thought his face was clean again he went back to the cavern he felt that it was warmer so asumed the Gabriel had made a fire

As he put the meat on the fire, Gabriel looked at Yuri when he went back.

-Ah! You're back. Take a seat, I will take the rest of the food.

He got up and took what he bought and brought the food near Yuri.

"Shall I sit next to the fire? " he asked curious

-Yes, of course. He answered. But not too close. I don't want you to burn yourself.

"I'm careful I promise " Yuri said with a little smile and sat himself down near the fire but not to close

Gabriel sat down, took one of his bags and came out of it a few tomatoes. He bit into one of them and smiled.

-Do you want one? He asked as he handed him a tomato. It's very good!

Yuri felt over what he had gave to him and took a bite of it too. "Oh its a tomato " Yuri said smiling

-So, what do you want to eat? He asked, friendly.

Yuri though while he ate the tomato he wasn't sure he was fine with anything

-Oh! Unless if you have allergies! Do you? He asked, concerned.

"No I dont" Yuri shook his head. "So I'm fine with anything "

-Ok, good. He said. What do you usually eat? because I don't really know what you like.

"I ear what ever I find mostly fish other rats they are easier to get as bunnys" he told him rubing his chin. "I sometimes find fruits"

A shiver ran throught the angel's back.

-...rats? Oh... I know you don't really have the choice, but it could be bad for your health, you know...

Yuri looked confused "hm? Why should it? " he didn't understood

He looked hesitant.

-In fact, I don't know either, my friend just told me to not touch a rat because it can carry some diseases.

"ewww really.. " he know felt uneasy about eating rats and about the fact he liked the taste of them but kept that secret

-I don't know if this is true, but this what she told to me.

"I dont think she would lie to you.. " he said rubbing his head a bit

-You're right, heh heh. She would lever lie to me. Anyway, do you want your piece of meat???

'Yes please! " he said smiling brightly again

He took carefuly the piece of meat and gave it to Yuri.

-Be careful, it hot. He said calmly.

"I will" he holded it carefully and carefully took a bite. Then smiled brightly he hadnt eat cooked food for awhile ."Its delicious! "

-I'm glad to hear it. He said brightly.

Then he took his piece of meat.

-Bon appetit! He said with humor.

He took a bite and was surprised by the taste. He never ate rabbit before.

"You cook so nice"Yuri spooke happyly he was very glad.

He sneered as Yuri praised him.

-Thank you, that's nice. But you know, it's not a bit deal.

He felt embarrassed. He wasn't used to be complimented.

"It is amazing! " Yuri said smiling

-Thank you a lot. I'm glad you like it. He said while petting Yuri's head.

Yuri giggled lightly as he petted his head he thought that a real family would just feel like that and that Gabriel and him are family now what made him more happy then anything else.

-I was asking myself... is there a river near here? He asked, curious.

He wanted to know more about the forest.

"Yes there is a Very long river" he told him

-I will see if I can catch some fishes for tonight. Would you like it? He gently asked.

"Yes I would really like it" he said smiling. "can I help you catching them? "

-Of course you can help me. He laughed.

"Yayyy I love helping! " Yuri said excitedly

As he finished eating, Gabriel took a small white bag on his knees.

-So, you told me you wanted to try, right? He asked while he smiled.

"Try? Oh do you mean candy?! " Yuri got a very bright smile on his face

-Of course. He said as he gave him a little gummy fruit candy. Try on this on first.

Yuri grinned excitedly feeling carefully how the candy was like. "Its squishy" he giggled then tried it. His expression light up even more. "Its delicious! "

-Take as much as you want. But not too much, you can be sick.

He took a little chocolate and flapped a bit his wings with happiness. It's been a long time he didn't eat chocolate.

"I have never ate something sweet and delicious as this before" yuri said happy

-It's normal, if you live in the forest. But I'm happy you like it. I'll buy you more if you want.

"Thank you so much Gabriel"he smiled brightly. "your the nicest person I ever met Thank you so much! " tears of joy was filling his grey eyes

He could felt his heart melt as Yuri's words. He gently smiled and folded his wings over Yuri.

-Thank you so much. That's so nice...

Yuri holded onto Gabriel burring his face at his chest. He had a smile full of happyness and hope and eyes filled with tears of joy he hadnt felt so happy

The angel smiled and began to pet Yuri's head. He was happy that Yuri was happy with him. He never attended any child, but he felt glad to take care of him like this.

Yuri smiled up to him enjoying to be pet and hold like that it felt so safe and warm. "I love you like a big brother" he told him cuddling him thightly

Gabriel felt strange, it was the first time someone told him that. Plus he never had and brother or sister. But he was happy.

-Thank you, Yuri. I love you like my brother too.

Yuri smiled so happyly up to him "I'm so glad" he said cuddling him more

He felt appeased seeing that Yuri was satisfied.

Yuri hugged him happyly with a calm smile.

A little moment later, Gabriel realised there was wind, he didn't want the fire to make damage.

-Oh, excuse me please I will go get some water to put out the fire.

Then he got up to take one of his water bottles.

"Oh oksy sure" Yuri nooded understanding and let go of him.

Tu en he threw water on the fire and went back close to Yuri.

-What do you want to do now? Do you want To stay a bit here or go To the river?

"Hmm" Yuri rubed his chin thinking. "Lets fo play by the river''he giggled

-Okay, let's go. He said while grabbing Yuri's hand.

Yuri nooded holding hee hand thightly smiling a lot.

-Do you know where it is? He asked while he looked around them.

Yuri tried to feel and hear the river but only could get a vague direction. "somewhere in this direction " hr pointed left

-Ok then.

He followed the direction pointed by Yuri, hearing the river.

Yuri stayed close to him holding onto his hand thightly his ears pearked a bit searching for the sound of running water

A bit later, the angel squinted and saw a long river running between the trees.

-There it is! He said, smiling.

"We made it! " Yuri said happyly

As they approach the river, Gabriel removed his shoes and sat at the edge of the river.

-Come on, Yuri! Feels good.

Yuri followed him close behind sitting down and putting the end of his tail in the river.

As he watched Yuri putting his tail in the river, he wanted to ask him something.

-Excuse-me if it's weird, but are you born with your tail?

He looked at him with curious eyes, he wanted to know more about Yuri's species.

Yuri smiled a little the cold water filled very nice. He looked quiet suprised over his question bu chuckled a little. "Yeah I am"

-Oh, interesting. He said while petting Yuri's head.

Yuri giggled lightly. "But its small when I'm an adoult it will be way longer and stronger. " he told him. "My Grany jad been able to break trees with hers" he smiled thinking about his Granny

Gabriel gasped at his last words.

-Trees? Wow. You'll become a strong man! He said brightly. But you know, your tail is not so tall.

"I really hope I will" Yuri said giggling. Then gasped a bit over his compliment. "Really? I thought it is tiny"

-No, it's quite big. He laughed.

That let Yuri giggle more he moved his tail in the water a little and made accedently some water splash.

Gabriel felt the cold water splashed on his legs, wettings his pants. He laughed brightly and splashed more water on Yuri's tail.

As he leaned to splash more water, Gabriel missed and fell in the river.

Yuri made a suprised gasp as he heared the loud splashing sound as Gabriel fell in the river. "wha-what happened? "

Gabriel got up and looked up at Yuri.

-Nothing serious, don't worry. I just fell in the water.

"oh.. Are you okay did you get hurt?" he asked still worriedly

He got back next to Yuri.

-I'm not hurt. He laughed. I will just dry my clothes.

He removed his sweat and his tunic and put it on a tree branch. And he flapped his wings to dry it too.

"Oh okay" Yuri said reliefed. Small drops of water hi him as Gabriel flapped his wings that made the small boy giggle a bit

The angel turned to look at Yuri.

-Why are you laughing? He asked with a smile.

"the little drops are tickling y cheeks" the little snake boy giggled.

-Oh. Refreshing, isn't it? He laughed. Anyway... I think I will try to catch some fishes. He said while looking the river.

"I wanna help you " He said giggling a lot

He took his knife and broke a big and long branch.

-That's nice. He said with a little smile.

Then he attached his knife to the branch to form a spear.

"How can I help you? " the small boy asked smiling excitedly

-You can... erm... tell me if you feel some fishes. If you can, of course.

"yes yes I will give my best! " he said excitedly then carefully put his hands in the water and breathed in he let very small vibrations flow through his fingers.

Gabriel carefully step in the water, holding his spear, waiting for a signal from Yuri.

"there is a large fish behind some rocks left from you" Yuri said after a few seconds

On Yuri's words, Gabriel slowly walked were Yuri told him. The water was beautiful and clean, so he easily saw the fish. He raised his spear and killed the fish.

-I got it! He said, proud of him.

He removed the fish of his knife and put it on the grass, next to Yuri.

Yuri smiled brightly. "You did it he said smiling. Then again he held his hands in the water amd breathed deeply in wondering if he could do it again and find another fish since he was pretty young his abilities wasnt fully devolloped yet

Gabriel waited again a signal from Yuri.

It took him this time a bit longer to figure out where a fish was. "two steps left and one up from you" he could feel where Gabriel stood.

-Alright.

He followed Yuri's instructions and seen the fish. He killed it and put it with the other.

-Second! Is there another one?

Yuri giggled a bit and nooded he felt another very big one swimming close to a big rock. "by the big rock three steps left from you"

He walked near the big rock and raised his eyebrows when he saw the fish.

-It's very big! He tough.

Like the other fishes, he didn't have any difficulties to kill it. He put it with the others.

-We will have a great meal tonight. He laughed.

"Was I helpful? " he asked with a sparkling expression smiling brightly

-Of course! He said with a large smile.

Then he step out of the water.

To hear. That made the small boy very happy he giggled lots and happy. Since he never was called helpful or anything goof by his parents

-Later, I will see if I can catch something else in the forest. You can help me again, if you want.

"Yes love helping you! " Yuri said excitedly and jumped weirdly up and down

He smiled seeing Yuri's exitation. He put on his shoes and looked around them.

-I don't know what we could find here. I suppose we will see.

"Its always difrent lots of animals life here" Yuri said

-Nice! We will find something great!

"yes yes we will! " he. Jumped up and down excitedly it looked a bit woerd hoe he did so

He grabbed Yuri's hand, holding his spear in his other hand.

-Let's see. He said while looking the trees.

Yuri holded thightly onto his hand ehile he wrapped the end of his tail around the fishies they got so he could carry them

As they walked through the forest, Gabriel saw a tree where there was some nuts hooked to the branches.

-Wait here a second please. There is some nuts. Tell me if you feel something.

He flew to gather some nuts.

"okay I will! " he said determined and put his hands on the ground to feel if there were animals near by. He hadnt used his ability so much before since the more he was using it the weaker the results were and he started to get exhausted since his ower wasn't fully developed yet at his age.

-Can you feel something? He asked as he landed on the ground, his pockets full of nuts.

"no... not really.. "Yuri still tried to feel something he stayed quiet for awhile then felt a small deer baby sleeping on the ground. "I only can feel a baby dee near a tree.. "

-Let's leave it. We should have enough for tonight. He said as he petted Yuri's head.

"besides we cant eat a baby deer they are so tiny and helpless that would be so mean" Yuri said he giggled a bit as Gabriel pattex his head

-Yes. And it's parents may be near. Let's go back to the cavern.

He took Yuri's hand.

-And take my clothes... He though.

Yuri nooded holding thightly at his hanhand. The small snake boy hummed a happy tune

-What are you singing? He asked while he took his clothes.

"the song of the stars my granny sang it to me all the time" he said with a little smile then rubbed his arm a bit awkwardly wondering if he didn't liked him to sing like his mommy

The angel gently smiled at Yuri's expression.

-Can you continue to sing, please? It's very pretty.

Yuri started to look very suprised. "y-you like my singing?! " henasked excitedly. "of course I continue then" he smiled very happyly. Then continued to sing quietly. "on the night sky they shine bright lighting the dark just follow theire lights and song so you always find home~" he sang quietly

Gabriel smiled while he listened Yuri's song. He had a beautiful voice and the song was pretty cute.

"oh~ and the moon the father of the stars is watching over them so when ever. A star gets lost he will find it they are never alone oohh young child neither are you~" Yuri continued to sing happyly

Gabriel slowly moved his head in rhythm with Yuri's song.

"so oooh hold onto meee like the stars onto the sky I will hold you safe and sound oh young child the stars shine deep in your heart ~deep in your heart they will guide you home " Yuri sang the end of his song smiling lightl feeling so happy that he could had been singing to gabriel

When Yuri had finished his song, Gabriel applauded him and had a cheerful smile.

-That was wonderful, Yuri! Your voice is amazing and your song was so meaningful!

Yuri blushed a bit rubbing his arm shyly. "hehe thank you.. my granny teached me this song"

-Your granny may be a very nice person... He gently said.

"yeah she was the best person I know.. " he rubbed his arm and bit his lip a litre

-Sorry for asking that, but... If your granny loved you, why did she leaved you too?

"she didnt leaved me she was taken away.. " Yuri started to tear up. " she is passed away.. "

-Oh... I'm so sorry, I... I didn't know...

"si-since she died my mommy started to hate me gra-granny was th-the only one who didn't hate me.. " he covered his face. "sh-she was so nice and loving.. "

Seeing Yuri's tears, Gabriel crouched next to him and folded a wing around his shoulders.

-I know it's hard for you to think about that, but you must be strong and think about the present and the future. Your past is behind you, and you can't change that. You must be happy. Life is better to live with a smile, do you not agree?

Still was the blind boys eys watering he missed his granny a lot. But he knew even woth his young age that Gabriel was right. "my granny had said.. almost the same... With a smile you live happy.. " he wispert quietly

-You see? So dry these tears.

"okay... " he wispert quietly and stroked ober his face.

-So? Is it better? He asked with a smile.

Yuri nooded quietly and tried his best to smile hugging onto him

The angel sighed happyly when Yuri hugged him.

-Do you want to return to the cavern?

Yuri nooded "yes lets go back

When they returned to the cavern, Gabriel took a book from his bag and sat on the ground.

-Do you want me to read you something?

Yuri puted the fish they caught down then slithered smiling excited over to him "yes= yes please" he said excited

The angel smiled at Yuri's reaction. Then he took all of his books from his bag.

-I don't know what you like... I have many subjects...

"read ne your favorite one" he said giggling a little

-My favorite one? Ow... I think you will don't like it, it's a big book about humans... He said, uncomfortable.

He did know if he could read that to a child, it could be hard to understand sometimes, or he could be bored. Plus, the book talk about wars at some moments.

"What are humans? ' the small boy asked tillting his head confused

Gabriel was surprised by his question.

-You... you really don't know what are humans?

"No I don't " Yuri shook his head. "Are humans animals do they live in the woods too? " he asked curious

-Well, no... they aren't animals. They look like us, but they don't have wings or tail, or any powers.

"Oh really? " his face lit up in excite ment"Do they speak are they intressting? " he asked very curious

He laughed.

-Yeah they speak like us, and they' re very intresting. There is so much things to learn about them...

"Ooohhh" he said amazed smiling brightly. "What does they do are they hatching from eggs like birdies ? Do they like music? " he asked curious

-No, they're mammals. And a lot of them likes music. My friend loves music, it's thanks to her that I love music now.

"Ohhhh Okay" he said giggling a littel and thought a moment. "Do they like sweet things? " he had many questions

-Of course! He said cheerfully. Not all of them, but majority do.

"Does your friend like sweet things? " he asked curious

He giggled, thinking of his friend.

-Of course. She loves it!

"Thats amazing " Yuri said smiling brightly

-Yeah... They are so interesting. He said with a melancholic smile. Do you have any other questions?

"hmm Are humans friendly beings? " he asked curious

-Well... I don't know all of them, of course. But the humans I know are very nice and friendly.

"Oh I see" he said smiling brightly

-Do you have another question? He asked with a little smile.

"Oh yeah what do they eat? " he asked curious

-A lot of things, like you and me.

I see" he said nooding thinking of more questions

-Anything else? He asked patiently.

Yuri shook his head. "nope that was all questions I had he laughed

-Alright. He said while laughing.

Then he though. He wondered if Yuri would accept to meet a human. He didn't know if it was a good idea.

"when I find more questions can I ask them then? " he asked leaning onto Gabriel

-Of course. He said as he petted Yuri's head.

"thank you you are so smart Gabriel" Yuri said smiling happyly

He felt a bit uncomfortable.

-Thanks but... you know this just some knowledge, and the more I know is thanks to live with humans...

Yuri heared in Gabriels voice that he was uncompftable. "oh I see" Yuri said he still thought Gabriel was smart

Then the young angel looked at the sky with dreamy eyes. The only thing he could do was thinking of his friend. Talking about humans maked him strange and nostalgic.

Yuri leaned himself at Gabriel a little the little snake boy wondered how Gabriels friend was like. "How is your friend like he asked curious

-She is... the most beautiful creature I've ever met...

"oh really? " he said amazed by how gabriels voice sounded when he talked about her. "tell ne more about her? "

"she sounds like very great person" Yuri said looking very intressted

He sighed happyly.

-Yeah... she's the kind of person you must meet at least one time in your life...

"do she likes meeting people? " he asked curious he wondered if he could meet her one day too

-Yes, but it's complicated. She doesn't want to meet someone if she knows that this person will judge her about her beliefs...

"thats understandable who would want to meet someone who is mean aboit something you believe in" Yuri said

-You're right...

He still looked dreamy. He wanted so much to see her soon.

"you miss her right..? " Yuri asked quietly he heard it in Gabriels voice and leaned at him a little

On Yuri's question, he felt a pain in his throat.

-Y-yes...

He wanted to see her so much, it's been almost two months he's gone on his trip throught the country.

Yuri could tell by the sound of Gabriels voice how painful it was for the angel to be away from her he knew that Gabriel probably would go back to her soon. Even when it would make hi sad when Gabriel would go he knew that Gabriel would be unhappy to be away from her and he didn't wanted him being unhappy. "whe-when yo-you miss he-her.. yo-you go-going so-soon right..? " he asked in a very quiet and shivery voice

As he heared sadness in Yuri's voice, the angel felt tears flow on his cheeks. It was very uncommon to him to cry, but he couldn't hold his grief. Then he hugged Yuri and started to cry pretty loud.

-I will not leave you! It's not fair for a child to live all alone, without any love! I will take you with me if I have to do it, but I will never leave you! He said out loud.

Yuri let out a quiet suprised gasp when Gabriel hugged onto him and he heared him cry. The words of him let the little boys eyes fill with tears and his heart fill with a mix out of sadness and joy he cried lots hugging onto Gabriel sobbing at his shirt. Noone before had showed that kind of affection to him or said those things to him.

The angel continued to cry for a moment, he was unable ta speak. He didn't know what to do, he wanted so much to see his friend, but he wanted to stay with Yuri.

Yuri could tell how nuch Gabriel was missing his friend he thought he would be unhappy when he stayed with him he felt bad for making Gabriel unhappy he soobed into Gabriels shirt. "I-i'm so-sorry... "

-Don't be sorry, it's not your fault, it's mine...

He began to feel selfish.

"i-its not.. yo-ypu are unhappy wh-when yo-you a-are away fro-from your frie-friend a-and. I.. ke-keep you a-away fronher... " he said crying and very quietly. "I'm s-so sorry.. "

-No... It's me who wanted to go on a trip, it's my fault if I am unhappy, it's my fault if you are sad...

Yuri shook his head he felt like being selfish he didn't wanted Gabriel to go but knew that he rather be fith his friend. "i-if I ha-hadnt asked yo-you t-to stay longer you would.. be woth her now.."

-Don't be ridiculous... you couldn't stay here all alone forever.

He wanted to ask to Yuri if he wanted To live with him and his friend, but he didn't dare.

"bu-but.. I ca-cant force you to stay.. " he wispert in a very shivery and quiet voice he clinged into Gabriels shirt sobbing

-You don't force me, but I can't leave you here. You are so young...

Yuri hid his face in Gabriels shirt he didn't heard those words from someone before not even his parents had wanted him to be with him. He didn't wanted to be away from Gabriel. He wondered if he could go with him to his friend or if he wouldn't be olay woth that

After a silence, Gabriel took a deep breath.

-Do you want to live with my friend and me?

Yuri was so suprised by his question that it took him a moment to proceed then his expression started yo lit up. "ye-yes" he nooded smiling but tearing up because of happyness now

At Yuri's answer, Gabriel smiled and cried of happiness.

-Thank you so much, Yuri! You'll see, you' ll be happy with us!

Yuri nooded clinging thight at him wrapping his tail out of reflex at him a little hugging him happyly. He felt so happy to be able to stay with Gabriel

The angel wiped out his tears when he petted Yuri's head.

-The trip will be long, so we leave tomorrow in the morning. If you're okay with that, of course.

Yuri nooded smiling and crying lots at the same time. "its alright " he said happyly cuddling as thight as the small boy could at him

-Will you miss this place? He slowly asked.

"The things I would miss I will get with me like my blanket" he said whipping his eyes a bit. "so uh uh I wont" he smiled up at him

-Of course we'll take you blanket and your teddy bear... But it's good if you're happy to leave this place. Aren't you afraid of long trip?

"No I'm not afraid a little nervous tho but I'm with you so I don't jave to be afraid" Yuri looked so happy like never before

-Good. He calmly answered. I will carry you in my arms. You will wrap your tail in your blanket to not catch cold and to not be seen.

"okay I will but why do I need to hide my tail? " he asked confused

-You need to hide it because... humans usually don't know that someone can have a tail, or anything like that. So it's better to hide it.

It remembered him a conversation he had one day with his friend. He didn't know why he had to hide his wings, so she explained him all that.

-I think I will begin soon to cook the fish.

He looked thoughtful, he didn't know well how to cook a fish.

"Can I help you with that? " he asked smiling up at him

-Yes you can. But I don't really know how... I don't even know how to cook a fish. I think I must remove the scales, but that's all I know.

"Oh you need to take the guts out and than you can do it on a stick and hold it over fire" thats the only way he knew how to cook fish mostly he ate things ra since he didn't was good at making fire

-Oh, sounds easy. I will rekindle the fire.

He went to take his lighter.

"I is when you can make fire " he laughed a little

-Of course I can. I've planned everything before going on my trip.

While Yuri was gone, Gabriel blew on the fire during some minutes. The fire finally lit but it was pretty weak. He sat down, waiting for Yuri.

As Yuri hand an armful of sticks he decided to slither back to the cavern he hadn't went far so could hear the weak sound of. The fire and followed it.

As soon as he saw Yuri, Gabriel smiled at him.

-Thank you, Yuri. Sit down, I will do the rest.

He got up and put the fish on sticks and put it on the fire. The en he put the rest of the sticks in the fire.

Yuri smiled brightly as Gabriel praised him he nooded and sat down

-I hope you're hungry, because I would like to bring back as little food as possible. He said as he brought his other bags. I hope you understant. Otherwise it's too heavy for me to fly...

"What we can eat we can share with the animals" Yuri giggled a lot but nooded understanding

As he took his fish, Gabriel looked a bit worried.

-Yuri, does it bother you if the trip will last longer than a day?

"No of course not" Yuri said smiling "we are going on adventure this will be exciting " he giggled

-Ok. But I will fly a lot during night, it's safer. And I will see if we could spend a night in a hotel.

"Whats a hotel? " Yuri asked curious eating his fish

-It's a place where people can spend some nights.

"Ohh I see" he said with an understanding

-Besides, will you be able to sleep in my arms? Aren't you afraid of heights? He asked, worried about Yuri.

"I-i'm not sure I'm not been in bi high before I think " Yuri said looking a bit nervously

Gabriels compforting patting made Yuri feel less nervous. "Ye-yes sure everything will be alright "

Then he telled to Yuri the long story about the little mermaid from Handersen.

Yuri slowly began to drift away with to sleep listening to his story happyly he thought that this was a wonderful story. Soon he had fallen asleep in his arms.

Gabriel didn't finished his story when he noticed that Yuri fell asleep. He smiled and carried him to his blanket. Then he took one of his books and went to read next to the fire.

Yuri curled himself up as Gabriel had laid him down he slept very peacefully and thight

The angel stopped To read when he realised that the forest was pretty scary. There was no sound, and he was almost in the dark. He took his book and went in the cavern.

Yuri had cuddled himself on his blanket and holded at his teddybear he sleeped peacefully

He finally read near Yuri's bed, he didn't want To sleep this night. He could read thanks To a little lamp he had so he it couldn't bother Yuri.
He read during the night, and after a few hours, he finally saw that the sun was rising. Like always, he went outside To watch it. An hour next, he prepared his bag and woke up Yuri.

-Yuri, we will go soon, wake up please. He said as he put his hand on Yuri's shoulder.

Yuri jumped a bit when he touched his shoulder he was suprised by that since he wasn't used to be woken up."oh..Okay I.. " he yawned and rubbed his face sleepyly "I'm awake.. "

-I'm sorry to wake you up that early, but it's better to leave as soon as possible. Do you wanna eat before we go? I think I still have some fruits if you want.

He got up to put out the fire.

When the fire was off, Gabriel looked at Yuri.

-Alright, I will take it, please. He said as he looked his bag.

"Thank you fluffy will be safe in your bag" He patted his plushes head then gave hi to Gabriel.

-Thank you. He said as he put the bear in his bag.

Then he got out of his bag the rest of his bread and broke it on the floor for the birds. And he got out a very little radio that he clung to his wrist.

-I think we're good. Did you have something To do before we leave? He asked as he put on his cape on his shoulders.

Yuri thought a moment then looked a bit shy. "I need to go peepee before we go" he said

-Oh... alright, go ahead. He said while rubbing his cheek.

Yuro quickly slithered out of the cavern and felt with his tiny hands for a bush and hid behind it as he was done he went back to him. "Ready now! "

-Good. But wrap your tail in your blanket before we go please. I can help toi if you need. He said as he put his bag on his shoulder.

"o-okay" he tried to wrap himself in the blanket but it didn't work out as he wanted to

The angel laughed a bit at Yuri's try.

-Let me help you.

Then he helped Yuri to put his blanket around his waist like someone would put a towel when they come out of the shower.

-Like this it should be alright. He said with a smile.

"Thank you" Yuri smiled gladly about his help. He was so excited about going on a adventure with Gabriel

-Ready To go? He asked while he petted Yuri's head.

"Yes I'm ready" he nooded with a bright smile on his lips he was excited about the travling and wondered how it will go

-Alright, let's go. He said with a smile.

He carried Yuri in his arms, spread his wings and flew away from the forest.

-Is everything alright? He asked, paying attention to not fly too high.

After some minutes of listening To the music, Gabriel noticed a big grey cloud not so far in front of them.

"Its alright" Yuri said with an assuring smile. He seemed even ve a little reliefed to feel the ground ubder his tail again.

Gabriel frowned while looking at his map. He took a compass in his bag. The needle was pointing the west. Je looked in the north direction.

-Ok. I know where I must go. Are you ready to leave?

While Gabriel figured out where to go Yuri rolled around in the grass giggling. "oh okay yas I'm ready" he got uo again.

He put his map and his compass in his bag. He carried Yuri and flew in the north direction. He flew faster than before to arrive as soon as possible at his friend place.

Thightly the small snake boy holded to Gabriel as they flew again he was very excited about meeting his friend

After some minutes, Gabriel though about something.

-Oh! Maybe you wanted to eat? I think it's lunch time...

"I'm not very hungry yet" Yuri said his species didn't needed to eat so much. "But when you are hungry"

He nodded and flew a little faster.

When Gabriel flew faster he holded a bit thighter to Gabriel

-Do you want me to slow down? He asked with a concerned look.

"no-no its alright.. " he spoke quitetly and smiled up to him uneasy looking a bit

Seeing shakiness in Yuri's voice, Gabriel gently smiled and slowed down a bit.

A bit reliefed was the little boy as Gabriel wasn't flying zo fast anymore "thank you.. " he spoke in a shy voice

-That's normal. He gently said.

He flew for several hours, until night began to rise.

Yuri slowly got sleepy and couldnt keep his eyes open .he yawned a little then fell asleep in Gabriels arm

Gabriel quickly noticed that Yuri fell asleep. He smiled and thought about finding a hotel where he could sleep too, and wings started to hurt. He flew so minutes more befoire finding a little city where there was a very little hotel. He landed behind a house and hid his wings and Yuri's ears, horns and tail before going in it. He paid a room with two beds for the night. When he was into the room, he locked the door and put his bag and his cape on the floor before putting Yuri in a bed. Then he went to sleep too. He didn't changed his clothes, he was too tired. He went in his bed and quickly fell asleep.

Yuri slept very peacefully at first a small happy smile curled on his lips as he slept. At somepoint late ate night that changed he started to move a lot around in his sleep and his face drawn in fear soon the little snake boy awoke crying loudly from his nightmare

Gabriel suddendly woke up as he heard Yuri's cry. He ran to his bed and petted his head.

-Yuri, shh. He whispered. What happened? Did something scared you?

Yuri automatically clinged thightly onto Gabriel sobbing a lot. "mhm..the-there wa-was a-and then.. " he just stutterted something not very making sense sentance because he was so shaken up from the nightmare

He frowned at Yuri's sentance while wrapping a wing around the little snake.

Yuri took shivery breaths ot took him awhile to calm down. "There wa-was a-a bad hu-human he wa-wanted to hurt me bu-but then he-he hurt yo-you a-and to-took yo-you away... " he wimmpered panicly

-No one will take me away, don't worry about that... but what did that human look like?

"h-he had big stompy steps li-like bam bam bam" Yuri told him very nervous "tha-that me-mean he ha-jad to -be big and heavy.. "

-And did he talk? He said while thinking about that human.

Yuri nooded shivery. "h-he said Monster monster die die die die over and over wi-with a sca-scary deep voice.. " Yuri teared up again

He sighed.

-Don't worry. That will never happen. That was just a nightmare, you must try to sleep again...

"ca-can I-i sleep i-in your bed with you...? " he asked still very shivery

-Or I can stay near your bed, if you want... He said with a sleepy voice

"o-okay... " he mutterted very quietly

Then he sat on the floor and put his head in his arms on the bed.

-Wake me up if you don't feel fine.

He spread a wing on Yuri before falling asleep.

"o-okay thank you Gabriel... " he wispert quietly and putted a hand on Gabriels head and tried to sleep again.

The angel slept peacefully but still worry that Yuri would make a nightmare again.

Feeling the warmth of Gabriels presenz he slept way calmer and thighter then before

Gabriel slept well until the morning came. Like everyday, he woke up before the sun. He let Yuri sleep and went in the bathroom To take a shower.

He continued to sleep peacefuly he woke up around an hour later then Gabriel still a bit sleep drunken he almost fell out of his bed

When he was getting out of the bathroom, Gabriel saw Yuri almost falling of his bed. He went to stop him from falling.

-Be careful, Yuri. He said while laughing.

"oh how that happened.. " he mumbled sleepy and cuddled onto Gabriel

-You might had an agitated sleep. Did you have an another nightmare?

"yeah... bu-but i-it wasn't a-as bad as the other one.. " he cuddled more onto Gabriel

-What did you dream of? He asked with a concerned look.

"The-there was this wierd noises from everywhere a-and the ground wa-was shaking" he said with a lightly shivery voice and clinged onto him a Moment

-Do you always make nightmares like that? I mean... every nights?

Yuri nooded with a sad look on his face "a-almost.. every night... "

-Do you know why?

Suddendly he thought that Yuri could make nightmares because of his parents.

"I-i dont know... " he wispert as he held onto Gabriel more. "since.. granny is gone.. the-they keep coming.. "

"I'm ready to go! " he said all excited amd with a brigH smile on his lips

-Do you want to take a shower before we go?

-Oh... It's a little cabin where you wash yourself. He said while rubbing his chin.

"Uh that sounds wierd but intressting dos it work with magic? " he asked curious he had no ideas of the modern world

-I'm sorry, but I don't know how it works. I will have a lot to learn about this world...

A small giggle left Yuris lips as Gabriel patted his head. "I wanna try that shower thing out! " he said excited

"when I wash me in the river I don't take my clothes of mostly I was them then too" he laughed besides he wasn't wearing much clothes actually

He took an another towel under his arm.

-Let's do this right.

-But we will have to hurry up a bit... he said while looking through the window

-Yes! Go in the cabin, I'll take the soap

He went near Yuri. "Let's do it right" he said as he sat near the cabin. Then he turned on the shower and washed Yuri's hair pretty quickly.

Yuri gasped in suprise as the water suddenly was falling down on him like rain drops. He moved his hand a bit underneath the water being kinda amazed by it

"Are you okay with that temperature?"

"yeah I feels very nice! " he said smiling brightly

"Good" he said while putting soap on Yuri's hair

Yuri began to giggle even more as Gabriel washed his hai. "Aww that smells so nice"

He laughed. "You're right, it smells like flowers"

"now my hair smell like flowers too" he cheered excited

"Yeah, that's si nice" he said while laughing. "Now, let's dry you off..." he said as he carried Yuri out of the cabin

"okay" he giggled and holded onto Gabriel

He placed Yuri on the floor and delicately rubbed a towel on his head

Once he had finish to dry Yuri's head, he carried him to the room and looked at the window

Yuri felt great as he was all dry. A loud gasp left his mouth as Gabriel said they was running late. "Yes hurry hurry" he slithered quickly to his bed and bumbed in it but he didn't minded it he just felt for his teddy with his hand

While Yuri was reaching for his plush, he dressed up correctly and prepared his bag. "Are you ready to leave?"

Somehoe Yuri managed to get it and holded it close I'm all ready" he said determined

He putted on his cape on his shoulders and carried his bag
Then he helped Yuri To hide his tail and his horns.
"Let's go"
He got out of the hotel and flew away when he was further

Like when they started from the forest Yuri hold himself thightly onto Gabriel as he lifted off. It still was wierd to him to have no ground contact but he knew thats way faster this way.

He silently sighed as he looked right in front of him
"I don't think we will arrive before the night..."

"The forest where you used To live was in the south of the country, and my friend's place is in the north, we should arrive tomorrow"

"Maybe you'll see when you grow up, the world is so big and there are so many people to meet!"

"I hope my friend's brother won't overreact..."

"And... even if he will be angry, I will tell him that we can't leave you alone. Don't worry, he should understand. He's not a monster"

"yes... thank you" Yuri seemed to calm a little down and smiled lightly up to Gabriel

As he began to recognize the area, Gabriel still felt umcomfortable for a different reason. "I wonder if I shouldn't aware them that I'm not coming home alone..."

"oh...maybe... " Yuri spoke quietly keeping his head rested on Gabriels chest.

He loudly sighed as he heared Yuri's words. "Tssk... I'm not myself when she's not here... I forget everything important..."

That words of Gabriel confused Yuri a bit so he simply nooded

"Hm? Oh, I'm sorry if your confused. I would say I'm as confused as you"
