The thrill! The thrill of feeling alive! I had broken free from my cage! Finally I'll be able to reunite with the people I loved. There's still hope! It all melted away again as I plunged down from the sky into this new foreign land called Sylore. He was on my back scratching and tearing, if he didn't kill me the ground surely would. "AND THIS WAS FOR MIL'LADY WHO YOU DESTROYED AND RUINED. FOR CAMRY AND FRANK, I WILL TAKE YOUR DEAD BODY AND I WILL REGROW MY GARDEN." He shouted and teared as I cried and flapped. It was no use I cannot fly I cannot speak. I can only sing with this body, what was singing going to do? Blood dripped down from my back, now I received wounds that are similar. But these cuts, they hurt, it hurts so much because I was so close to it. I only went down faster and faster, accelerating more, my body flinged around in the air. I felt his claws leave my back, though it was only a brief moment before, SMACK! I hit the ground and the world was in a daze.

Coldfire grinned and chuckled in amusement. "That would be great, actually. I don't get to sleep in real beds often." He kept his hand there a moment longer before letting it drop, then slipped it around the side of Giranja's waist and slowly began to lead her over the shore.

Sterling lowered her gaze. "I know what it's like to be feared for no reason, but not from anyone I knew." She lifted her head slightly. "I don't think who I'm looking for is here either. Though I don't know who I'm looking for and running from anymore. It's all been messed up."

The shifter inhaled the crisp air as they walked, clearing the fuzz from his head, although his face still felt flushed. His eyes drifted to the lake as well, then to the shore. A distant memory sparked in his mind and idea appeared, but after a moment of consideration, he returned his gaze ahead. //Nah, another time.//

Sterling sat still for a moment before finally shaking her head. "No. At least, not yet. There are still things that must be done, I think. I need to find someone. A few. I think," The canine stuttered. "We could try, but probably not yet."

(my keyboard is still connected to my ipad and im too lazy to disconnect it so it sounds like i'm working but i'm actually just sitting here xD)

Sterling laughed quiely and nodded. "I guess. Though in no way am I going back inside there," she tossed her head back to the kingdom wall right behind them, "and I'll just hope that the one of the people I'm looking for isn't still in there." She stood up and looked out to the large field from before, taking a few steps forward. "The first shouldn't be hard."

Euterpe's body wasn't moving, though she was still breathing. Quite unaware of the situation that was going on, her mind was still black. It seemed she wouldn't wake up anytime soon, her body was in poor condition as well. Malnourished, beat up and broken.
Trevor skulked a few yards away from the body and hissed when he saw the male dragon. "Get away from her! She's no concern of yours, that dragon belongs to me!" Trevor growled deeply getting ready for an attack

(Also it's ok if you mess up Euta's name, her name's kinda weird to spell anyway XD

"The bird is all," she said, picking up the pace. //He couldn't have gone far.// She went closer to the field and stopped, turning her head to the forest just past a (almost wrote pasta) few hills and broke into a light run, scanning the branches for the bright green tail of the blue jay.

Haruka was wandering the forest, still searching for Aylin when he heard sudden shouting. His yellow eyes narrowed and he walked forward, slowly, as quietly as he could. Silently he thanked his mostly green color, helping him hide slightly among the cover of the trees and bushes. The flower on his tail opened slightly, preparing to attack if necessary. The Ribbonwing spotted a brown injured dragon and circled around a bit to try and get closer to her.

"Get away! She's mine!" He growled again, this time he grew thorny prickers around her body. Though his powers were now weaker thanks to the fire Euta caused in his original garden, the plants were still quite larger than normal.

The green dragon ducked his head under a bush when the other creature suddenly made thorns appear around her, but he took another step closer as if he could help. His wings itched to spread, fly him away or straight into Trevor, but he kept them tucked in.

The Zeraxi laughed and started calling him as well. "Riiiib! Ribbonjay! Where are you?" She thought she heard faint laughter and threw her front paws up to a fairly high branch, almost falling back down when the jay swooped at her, cawing. With a smirk on his face he swooped past Surge, barn owl-like wings gliding him through the leaves.

The prickers shifted as if the had they're own minds. "Yes feed us daddy! Bring us the purple dragon to!" Trevor cocked his head smiling insanly, "Well you heard them? Feed my children, you can't expect them to starve!" Once again mocking Hirano, the thorn bushes repeat. "FEED US FEED US!"

The jay cackled. "Been looking for me? You know what happened last time we were in the place, no way was I gonna join you there!" He motioned to the kingdom with his wing. "I was waiting for you to find me. Took your time, huh?" He smirked again, eyes shining.

Haruka took more steps forward, regret starting to fill him when he watched the plants (ALMOST TYPED PANTS) come to life and ask for food. It horrified him. //What if Aylin was caught by him? No she can't be dead... But if... She is...// The Ribbonwing spread his wings and growled deeply, the flower on his tail open, curved hooks ready to tear apart the thorns. He took a charge forward, skidding to a halt between Trevor and Hirano, pupiless eyes blazing with fury at a false thought.

"Well if you consider the world going completely dark, then yes, something bad happened." He flew down next to Sterling, looking at her injuries until she pulled her leg away from his view.

Sterling sat silent for a moment longer before standing again. "I guess it's onto the next person, but I don't know where to go." She shook her head, yawning. "Maybe he went out a different direction, maybe the opposite from when I went? I don't know," the canine sighed, walking back out to the small hills, gazing out at the expanse of land, the kingdom in the center of her view.

The Thorns made constant noises almost sounding like of that of the screams of children. Trevor backed up when he say yet another dragon step out. He started to focus more on constricting the two serpents. "My, my, I thought you were going to be a good boy and do as you're told. Making children scream? What naughty thing to do."Vines grew around the two dragon slinking up they're bodies. "Did you know boys who play with fire are punished?" The plants once again spoke "We want to feast upon dragon tonight daddy! FEED US, FEED US!"

"I guess," Sterling said softly. Without another word she ran towards the mountains, the feather on her necklace giving off a faint glow as if she were doing something right. The birdflew between Surge's legs as he caught up with the Zeraxi.

Haruka roared again, lashing against the grip of the plants. "You will not take me!" He was almost screeching, wings flapping and the ribbony strands almost getting caught in the tangle of leaves and thorns. "You will not take me!" He repeated, the hooks on the flower of his tail tearing away at the vines until he broke free, ready to charge at the riadical.

Riptide and Ouray were half way up to the summit. "My house is just up this hill, soon I will give you the answers you're looking for." Ouray coughed a little he patted his back and climb another step. Riptide held in his emotion a bit he was starting to get a little excited. "That's good, you know what old man? You're alright." Ouray just grinned back at his reply. The two continue to climb upward

Sterling listened as Surge's footsteps sounded faster and she picked up her own pace to try and accommodate his. The jay grew tired of flying and gripped onto the long blue mane on her back, staring at the sky as they came progressively closer to the mountains.

Coldfire gave Giranja a grateful smile before stepping inside the house, then waitin for her to follow in. He scanned the rooms with his eyes, briefly pondering where Giranja would let him sleep.

Trevor was not amused "Awe did I hurt little purple's dragon feelings? WELL I HATE TO BE A THORN IN THE SIDE BUT I ALREADY AM SO WHO THE HECK EVEN CARES WHAT YOU THINK!" It was like the claws of a cat, the pricker's needle grew larger then smaller. "ACK!" Trevor fell on his back when Haruka jumped at him. The green dragon looked like he was about to tear the riadical apart. He thought quickly, //him maybe I can control that tail of his...// Trevor concentrated but in doing so a few of his bushes shriveled up.

The Zeraxi just kept running, gradually slowing her pace a bit as she grew more tired. They were near the base of the mountain, and Sterling glanced back at Surge before finding a path up. All the while the moon seemed to reflect off the necklace a little brighter than usual.

"I'll take the one on the right, then," Coldfire decided. He turned to Giranja and met her eyes for a silent moment. He then pulled her into a light embrace and whispered in her ear, "Thank you." Finally, he pulled away, smiled once more, then vanished into the empty room.

Haruka swung his tail around when he saw Trevor looking at it, closing it slightly but still open in case he needed to attack with it. A clawed foot pinned the riadical down and he growled deeply. "Where is she? Where is the small gray dragon? What did you do with her?" The dragon's blind rage nearly took over. //Don't ask questions that have no answer,// he tried to say to himself, but the mere thought of Aylin being eaten by plants and seeing the injured dragon only made his senseless anger grow.

"Grey dragon? You mean the brown over there? SHE's MINE!" He hissed. Trevor started to concentrate more on Haruka's tail when he saw Hirano break free from the vines. He was starting to lose control of the situation, making the need to posses the flower tail even more dire. Euterpe finally started to stir a bit regaining a bit of consciousness.

"How dare you deny it!" Haruka hissed loudly, believing his mind's lie. That was all he was counting on at this point. Growling he bit one of Trevor's legs and grabbed another in the hooks of his tail.

Riptide slipped almost plunging off the mountain. "Be careful" Ouray warned grabbing his arm to pull him up. It was colder up at the top, and there was the log cabin sitting a top of it all. "Here we are" Ouray said readying his keys. "Let's get inside before we freeze." Riptide was out of words and just silently nodded following behind Ouray.

Once the shifter had closed the door, he walked over and flopped onto the bed. //I really did it,// he mused, staring at the ceiling. //I confessed my love. And...she returned it.// Face suddenly uncomfortably hot, Coldfire rose and approached the bathroom connecting to his room and doused his face with icy cold sink water. After drying off, he kicked off his boots, shed his outer coat, and curled up under the covers of his bed. Still, the prince's mind was whirling so fast that he doubted he would fall asleep anytime soon.

Sterling trotted up to a lone tree growing halfway out of the wall, looking back and sitting down beside it. She yawned and stretched. "Is here fine? I don't think I can go any farther," she mumbled.

Coldfire's heart jumped as fast as he leaped out of his bed when Giranja knocked. He took a step toward the door, then hurriedly turned back to sloppily fix up his bed's sheets. Finally, after taking a deep breath, he opened the door and met the Zilariun's gaze. His mouth opened, but he couldn't speak.

Trevor struggled when he was picked up. "It's not a lie, bramble butt!" He glanced over Haruka to see Euta get up, and the heated Zilariun Prince. Euterpe looked around to see three beasts battling each other. Why were they bickering? Was it her? Whatever they were doing she didn't long and leaping over into the opposite direction. She started running away or trying at least, she stumbled a few times. "NO GET BACK HERE SLAVE!" Trevor boomed he had enough playing games and slashed his claws at Haruka. Attempting to bolt after her.

Coldfire wasn't sure if his face could grow any redder by then, but he still felt his skin temperature rise. "H-here-- I can let you have this room back, and I'll take the other one," he said flusteredly as he retreated into the room to grab his boots and coat.

The shifter got the urge to scratch his neck again, but his only hand was occupied. "...I don't really need it anymore. You're welcome to keep it, or do whatever you want with it." He kept his gaze on the floor.

The Tundra shifter's purple eyes flickered back up to Giranja. "Yeah. I don't have a need off it in the summer anyways..." He trailed off, then cleared his throat. "I-I should probably let you have your room back now," he murmured.

The Zeraxi nodded and slumped to the ground, eyes half closed as she looked at the night sky. //So familiar, yet so foreign and strange. I miss my sky. Qaje zow! Be gone, you different sky!// She curled up in as tight a ball she could and drifted into sleep (I have a dream idea if you want to just wait for morning)

Haruka only growled louder, letting Trevor go for a split second but immediately pinning the riadical's tail down with his foot and getting ahold of his scruff in the dragon's mouth. "You will not hurt her anymore," the Ribbonwing warned, voice muffled. "No more of your army will feed on innocent flesh!"

Trevor inhaled Roar extremly loud prickers grew from beneath the two dragons. He lunged at the Hirano, fed up that they were in the way.

Euterpe just kept going not looking back to the cries of the beasts behind her..

Day smiled looking back to Novali then the stars, the Wolvian planet was visible, the 4 blue moons shone brightly. Day looked in awe to the planet, looking back at Novali. "It's beautiful... All of it, I've been at this area but... Never this spot..."

The Zeraxi found herself on a golden hill of swaying grass. The sun shone bright against her gray fur, almost turning it gold as well. Her teal eyes almost seemed to glow, and when she glanced at her side the scars were gone. A brown figure sat clothed in a dark cloak. It stared out at the rest of the land, which faded into a golden white expanse as if it didn't even exist. Sterling stepped closer to the figure, recognizing it as a rabbit. //Do I know her?// She took a few more steps and could see every detail, every hair and whisker, a few sparkling tears falling from deep brown eyes as a dark nose twitched.
"You're never coming back, are you?" The rabbit's voice wavered and cracked like dropped porcelain. Her long ears flicked towards the canine, showing the soft pinkish fluff inside. "It's okay if you're not..." Her murmur drifted in the golden breeze and she raised a paw and pointed behind her, still staring off into space. "You should go there. I don't have the strength to tell you," the rabbit's eyes misted and flooded with tears and she stood up and ran away, pulling the hood above her head as the cloak drifted behind her as gracefully as butterfly wings.

Coldfire's breath caught when the woman pecked him on the cheek. "...Yeah," he responded belatedly. //Normal?// his mind repeated confusedly. Shaking the thought away, Coldfire opened the door more and stepped aside so she could get past.

As Riptide entered the cozy cabin, Ouray set his cane aside gestering for him to sit. They both had a seat near the table in the main room. "Thank you for escorting me..." Ouray said rather softly. "Eh, I guess it wasn't as much as I thought., You were right it was a small task." Riptide shrugged leaning back in his seat. "I think it's time you get your answers." Light started to emit from the man and raised a brow.

Haruka slashed his tail at the prickers and thorn, throwing them away with their own kind. He roared again as Trevor escaped his grasp, deciding to let Hirano take care of the riadical. As quiet as a moth he managed to lift himself in the air, purposefully letting the claw on the joint of his wing hit Trevor's back before he set off to find Euta, the fire inside him dying as his hopelessness returned to him. The growl deep in his throat grew more faint and gentle as he caught up with the injured dragon, flower on his tail closed tight.

Trevor's power was weakening devising a plan that he would retreat and regrow his garden to regain strength. Without a word he retreated into the woods climbing up and leaping from trees. //I'll get them later//

Euta fell into a pit, the green dragon was now on her tail. She was too weak to climb out and there was no use flying. So she curled into corner and excepted her fate.

Coldfire stepped through the doorway once Giranja had, then faced her once more. He softly returned her smile. "Alright... Thanks." The shifter paused as he looked into her eyes, tempted to kiss her again, but he eventually decided against it. "Goodnight," he whispered before turning and heading over to his own room.

(I'm secretly hoping that Giranja will make breakfast and it'll be all vegetables. X'D)

Sterling watched the rabbit disappear and turned to the direction she had pointed. //What must I know?// She walked forward, and remembering the tears in the rabbit's eyes she went faster and faster until the golden grass drifted to green and clouds covered the sky in a desolate yet comforting gray that let the calming green of the forest take over. It wasn't raining and there were more flowers, the brightest and most beautiful lining the ground like serpents whose bodies had turned to something else that was living, refusing to die. A large ruined structure covered in moss and vines rested at the end of the twin serpentine lines of flowers, the stone a darker shade of gray from the sky. She thought she spotted movement in the ruins and decided to explore and investigate, paws scrambling over the toppled stones. A few scraps of charred wood appeared here and there, ashes coloring the ground where grass had poked through in numerous patches.
The Zeraxi came face-to-face with a large dragon with deer-like horns and skeletal wings, a notched medallion almost hidden in the grass as two golden eyes, one bright and one dull, stared sadly at her behind a russet-gold muzzle.

"Yeah..." Day said, smiling. She looked at Novali, "Thank you for showing me th-" She tired to say before being cut off by an odd glow from a rift, nothing came from it yet but it was bright enough to get her attention. "What... Is that?" She said getting up, peering at the slightly ominous glow.

Haruka landed softly on the ground at the top of the pit, tucking his wings in and lowering his head down as far as he could closer to Euta. The fire in his yellow eyes was gone, returning the gentle yet authoratative pupiless gaze to them. He growled softly, but instead of a threat it sounded more like a whimper.
"It is alright. I do not mean to hurt you," he reassured her, voice soft and calm. "I tried to fight him off but I do not think he is gone just yet..."

After the light went away, Ouray was revealed to be the Elvira himself. "Arrow!" Riptide shouted seemingly wanted to sound that he was angry but a smile cracked up his face. "Ah yeah, it's me!" Arrow laughed. "But-you left, where have you been?" Arrow shrugged at the question. "Eh places, now as I promised, figure instead of just telling you I'll put it all back in you're head." Riptide was just dazed by the whole thing. "You ready?" Asked Arrow

Coldfire entered his lodging and closed the door before releasing a deep sigh. This time, he dropped his boots and coat by the bedside and immediately crawled under the sheets, although he still knew he wouldn't sleep right away.
He was right - no matter what thoughts he tried to distract himself with, they always returned to Giranja. As the Tundra dragon lay in silence, he reflected on all that had happened that evening, from their escape from the bartender up until their talk in the hallway. //She called me a dork,// he realized, amused by the fact.

Trevor darted back and forth between trees, "GO AWAY YOU'RE KEEPING ME FROM MY IMPORTANT BUSINESS! YOU ARE THE WORST YELLOW BELLY GNAT!" Trevor tried losing him by having the plant physically block his way. Some of the plants spoke to him, "GNAT, YOU'RE A GNAT, GNAT GNAT GNAAAAATTTT!"

Eterpe raised her head and looked at Haruka. Should of spoken but words were all but gone. So she instead just stared into eyes as if to try and understand.

"Y... You," Sterling whispered, suddenly breathless. The dragon nodded, having to shove his muzzle into the ground to prove his point.
"There is something I must tell you," he murmured, eyes sparkling with sadness and empathy.
"What? What is it?" The Zeraxi pressed, imatient. The dragon moved his head away.
"Are you sure you're ready to hear?" His voice wavered, too.
"Just tell me!" She walked over so that she was in his line of sight again and he closed his eyes as if he regretted his words.
"Your friend... Stardust... He's dead," the dragon spoke slowly and softly, ears flicking back like he was trying to block haunting screams echoing from a time before she could comprehend.
"No! Stardust can't die! He can't, he can't!" The canine backed away, eyes wide and ears back in horror. "He can't die!"
"Well he has! I watched him!" The dragon stood and she flinched, pressing herself against the ground as the medallion swung infront of her. Were there more notches on it? Two marks appeared faintly, hiding amongst the others.
"You're lying!" Sterling cried, teeth bared.
"I'm not," he repeated, muzzle almost touching hers. His breath stirred the fur on her head. "You have to trust me, Sterling, I watched him, he's /gone./"
"He can't be!" The canine screeched, and she woke with a start.

Even the grass under him started to tease Hirano. "GNAT HE'S A GNAT! LITTLE PURPLE GNAT!" They squeaked in a high pitched tone."HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH"!

"It will be alright," the green dragon repeated, "You'll be alright. I won't let them hurt you," he said slowly. His eyes misted with tears. //That's what you said to everyone else, and where are they? Where are they, Haruka? Dead. Lost. Alone. They don't want you. They used your kindness like water and they were a sponge, leaving once they could soak up no more.//

Euta got up and sighed, this was the first time she's someone who was legitimately trying to be nice, or so it seemed. It wasn't she was going to be able to go anywhere anyway. She traced an x upon her throat, trying to indicate to him that she was mute.

Day nodded. "Um okay. Be back soon!" She called out. The portal was blue and white, spiraling as it started getting brighter until a large flash of light and a HUGE rewin stepped out, his pose confident and his black feathers laced with gold and purple markings. He looked down at Novali and bowed his head quickly for respect. "Novali." He said, before walking forward, his one robotic talon clinked on the ground as he walked, he had four large wings all tucked in.

Haruka watched her closely and he tilted his head, trying to block out his thoughts. "Oh? So you cannot speak? No matter. I will simply refrain from any complicated questions," the Ribbonwing smiled and back slightly out of the pit. "Do you need help out? That's the least I could do right now." (Cough i have no idea where they would go oops cough)

Coldfire's eyes cracked open reluctantly when the morning light poured through his room's window. "Morning?" he mumbled, rubbing each eye with his fist before groaning and rolling over. However, when the events of the day before returned to the prince, he sat up in his bed, suddenly much more awake. //Is Giranja up yet?// he wondered, glancing to the door.

All except one blade of grass was burned. "Gnat! He's a Gnat! Purple Gnat that's what he is!" While Hirano was distracted Trevor gathered and hunted any rii and barnix that he could find. He started to grow more stable plants upon the dead bodies.

Euta just shook her head, ready to follow the stranger.

Haruka nodded and bent down awkwardly and grabbed Euta by the scruff the best he could, using his wings to help get her out of the pit where he gently placed her down at the edge. "There. My apologies if I injured you," he said, dipping his head before looking around to see where he would go.

He smirked, his large curled tail feathers swaying as he continued walking towards the mountains of dola. "Well for one thing, don't bow your head Sir. In do time you'll know, but I will tell you I'm the one to be respecting you. No need to show fear." He assured him, walking through the bushes.

Hearing activity outside his room, Coldfire finally prompted himself to swing his legs over the side of the bed. He pulled on his boots but hesitated to put on his outer coat, eventually leaving it behind. The shifter cracked his door open and headed down the hallway, still blinking sleep from his eyes.

Sterling stood, legs shaking and her breath rapid, tears almost choking her. Surge was still asleep, as well as the bird, and the gray canine started to run farther up the mountain, making sure not to send any rocks showering down as she blended in with the rock besides her blue manes and the necklace, where the feather still reflected the moonlight and she thought she glanced a familiar constellation sparkle in the fibers as she climbed, closing in on the cabin where Riptide was. Her leg stung and her side burned, all the while her lungs fought to be regular as her tears blurred the ground and the unfamiliar, murderous sky above her.

Trevor growled and snorted when he heard Hirano call to him. His new minions were making him grow stronger again. And the Riadical felt the pulses of energy run through his veins again.

Haruka kpet looking around. "Where do you think we should go?" He asked, looking at her in uncertainty.

Coldfire reached the end of the hallway and scanned the room until he spotted the Shousin princess. "Giranja," he said, voice less attentive than he had hoped for, "Good morning."
Inwardly, he was worrying about whether his cranky morning mood would break out in front of her, so his demeanor remained rather reclusive.

Arrow snapped his fingers and a sea blue sphere appeared in his hand. With out further consent, he thrusters it into Riptide's skull. Riptide thrashed backwards his head felt like it would explode, and he all of a sudden came down with severe fever like symptoms. "ARH!" He slammed a thrashed into things. He felt so sweaty and hot but cold at the same time. "Yes the transition is painful." Arrow frowned, the coat he had seemed to fade a bit, he seemed to fade a bit!

"Novali, I cant tell you the future, there's no point in living if you know everything. My name is Lezulos though if that makes you happy, I came from the future." He fluttered two of his wings and closed his tail feathers, approaching the lake, where the mountain rewin flock was living.

The bird mumbled when the canine prodded him. "Eeuuuhhhhhhhhh I don't WANNA wake up," he grumbled, but he raised his head anyways. "She probably just went to get something to drink or to scout the path ahead. She doesn't sleep very well anymore." His eyes shone in the moonlight, hiding how tired he was.

Trevor say the Zilariun starting to make his way towards, the Riadical quickly bolted in a direction towards the lake. He waded into the water a bit more before turning to face the prince.

Euta leaned in closer to him, her vision started to blur, and she was about ready to pass out. Which she did in the next minute or so.

Coldfire watched her for a moment. "It was alright," he mumbled, rubbing his head as his gaze wandered to the rest of the home's interior. "Don't you have a cottage somewhere else?" he queried.

"If she were kidnapped, we would have heard. And she wouldn't ditch us. Not anymore," he added, still not getting fully up. "If you're so intent on making sure she's safe, then go after her yourself."

Sterling clambered up the rest of the way, spotting the cabin. //Should I even be here? What if I'm wrong?//

She tilted her head. "Hah. Stupid bird. He's... Very large though, so lets both see if he 'really' knows about the future" She flew over to the Rewin and landed. He stopped, looking towards her. "Queen Day, wonderful to see you." He bowed his head once more he stopped walking for a moment, knowing their suspicions. Day scowled.

Riptide bashed into glass case in corner causing glass to fly everywhere. His mask fell off his face reveal the image underneath. Images and flashed inside his head but it felt like he was looking at a blur of color. Throwing up, he fell to the floor uncontrollably flailing around.

"Oh," Coldfire responded rather meekly, then grew a little flustered. "No no - not at all. I-I was a little confused, is all. Last night you made it sound like you were staying here temporarily, like-like a hotel..."

Sterling heard running steps coming up the path and threw herself between the rock and the hard place, hiding from both the cabin and the path. Her gray pelt blended her in with her surroundings and she kept her eyes half shut so their teal light wouldn't give her away.

The plants made for an attempt to grab Hirano. Trevor made an noise of excitement jumping up and down as he made his attack.

Coldfire exited the cottage first and held the door open for her. His insides bubbled with guilt for lying, but he was still tempted to keep a step ahead of Giranja so she wouldn't question him any further. Nevertheless, he remained by her side, thinking of something light or friendly to talk about.

Unknowingly Riptide made for the door, bursting outside, growling and screeching he clawed his head thrashing it up and down. The beady green eyes on his disfigured face pierced through the black sheet of the night.

Sterling jolted and spun around, almost flining herself off the cliff with the motion. She let out a loud bark and immediately ran towards the sound of the window, her heart pounding and blood rushing through her ears.

Hardly considering whether or not they were giving samples, the shifter walked toward the stand and reached out for the nearest item, eyes glazed from the glow of the furnace.

Trevor filled the last of the pit before focus really hard. A large tree sprouted from the ground towering up in the sky. The branches curved into a dome and covered almost all of the forest. Growing bigger and thicker, "Now we kill whatever unfortunate soul that has been trapped I here." He laughed as the layers continued to thicken around the walls.

"Novali, I can take him. Don't worry, we just have to find him, trap him and show him to Lezulos." She assured him. "Besides, you'll need backup."

When Giranja tapped Coldfire, he turned a pair of nearly feral eyes on her, but the ice quickly subsided to slight annoyance. "Hm," he huffed submissively before facing the vendor. "You giving any free food?" he asked bluntly.

The man's brown eyes scrutinized the younger male, noting the clash of his rude behavior and fine outfit. "Unm, no we don't. I apologize."

With a grunt of disapproval, Cdfire shoved his hands in his pockets an kept moving. "Come on," he said as he passed Giranja.

She followed after him. "I know his tricks, don't worry." Day assured him.

Riptide growled suddenly at Raven, before running off again.

Come back," her voice cracked and her lungs felt like they were on fire. Remembering their race days before she took off as fast as possible, dodging rocks as if they were crates and dragon tails.

Coldfire continued stalking down the road, failing to notice that Giranja hadn't followed.

The vendor huffed gruffly before softening toward Giranja. "Of course, milady," he replied, accepting the currency and giving in exchange the selected food, wrapped in paper. "Good day to you," he said with a dip of his head.

Coldfire finally stopped and looked back in confusion. His eyes grew round a the sight of the packet in her hands, accompanied with the smell of meat from before. "Wait, Giranja, you...?" His hand slipped from his pocket and dropped to his side.

Sterling skidded to a halt when Riptide fell, making her way down and collapsing next to him. Her legs wobbled a mile a minute and she gasped, choking for air from the sudden impact with the ground. A Zeraxi shape was painted on the ground below her from all her injuries. "Riptide? Riptide!" She nudged his unconscious body with her muzzle, voice catching in her throat. "Wake up! Wake... Wake UP!" She pushed him slightly and slumped to the ground. She shut her eyes tight and was met with the image of a fox bending over a spotted golden body smeared with blood and she screamed, confusion turning into rage.

(Coldfire: What, this lousy lump of evil? Fine, I guess I have to kill her too.)

Sterling laid her ears back flat, just barely hearing Arrow's voice. "I let everyone die, I let everyone die, why does everyone die, why, why, voha, voha, VOHA!" She stood and turned away. //You're going insane again. Remember the language, remember how hard you tried to learn it, don't lose it. Keep your head up and claws in.// A gentle but stern voice spoke up from the back of her mind and she looked over to Surge and Riptide. "Are... Are you okay?" She finally whispered. //There. Crimson threw up black goo, he grew pale arts doing so. His wings drooped. "He's..! Dying?... Novali even though he's corrupted... Maybe this could give us a chance to put him out of his misery or even make him normal again?" Day suggested landing beside Crimson, still cautious.

Arrow circled around the two, "This is not your fault like I said he's recovering." He tried to assure them that everthing was alright.

Sterling watched Arrow move, legs shaking as if she were standing on a fault line. "Recovering from what?" She murmured, looking at the mask, which was nearly about to fall off the next cliff. Slowly she inched towards it and placed it next to Riptide. Her eyes were wide open as if she dared not close them ever again, afraid she would see the dead cub again.

"Well... We all have a chance of getting corrupted... His wont be different once fixed. Besides if it works, we can use this tactic if anyone very important like Nagalo gets corrupted. We could get rid of the corruption." Day tired convincing him.

"You see, Riptide is undead, His soul was too corrupt to actually to be alive. I took his memories in order to fix that, resulting in the disfigurement of his face. Much more has happened to him beyond that." He explained, "With a cry out in vain I was aloud to help restore his normal life. Though his soul is not used to this much strain, it may be awhile before he recovers his memories completely."

"No, I..." Coldfire at last sighed and gripped the item. "Thank you," he murmured sincerely as he met her gaze. His stomach protested again and he decided to remove the paper packaging. "We're going to share it though, since you paid," he ascertained as he did, eyes flickering to her.

Her bright golden vines gently holding him.

"I'm fine," Sterling lied, looking away at the seemingly infinite land and its infinitely confusing sky. Everything seemed too troublesome here, everything seemed out to get her. //I don't belong here.//

"No, we're sharing," Coldfire insisted, despite knowing that splitting the meal would not fill his appetite. He divided the meat and handed half of it to Giranja with a meek look on his face.

Sterling shifted slightly, still staring off into nothing. "I just need home," she said, laughing softly. "I just need the comfort of my old home again." //Maybe I can have another dream, maybe, if I try...// She looked up at Arrow and blinked slowly in place of a nod. Slowly the Zeraxi stood up, her gray fur caked with red. "We should get him back up to the cabin," she said slowly, picking up his mask. The bird finally flew down; he had been afraid to approach them but now took the mask to lighten her load.

The corrupted energy flailed around in it's own sentient panic. It made a quiet screech from the light and Crimson slightly faded back to his green color. "What could've caused this sickness?... Can all corrupted die from this sickness after a long time?" Day pondered, worried a little for blackshadow.

Coldfire nodded in reply before wandering away from the commotion-filled market area onto a calmer street where he led Giranja to a bench to sit. With as much self-control as his starving self could manage, the dragon shifter tore voraciously into the meat, swallowing it down in a few swift bites. He then licked his fingers clean as he waited for Giranja to finish.

"We carry him," Sterling declared. "We carry him back up." She ducked down and slowly tried to lift the upper half of Riptide's body on her back. Her legs shook but she forced herself to stand still.

Thuun spent all morning flailing around the wilderness surrounding the lake, desperate to refind his sister. "Giranja!" he called out occasionally as he winged his way over the forests. //I was supposed to be watching her but I became distracted! I hope this dragon she's with is not a threat to her well-being...//
The wyvern crossed over the rippling waters of the lake and studied the surrounding sand shores, but all he could spot were human-like footprints scattered about. "Giranja would use her dragon form, especially when this far from population," he deducted, wheeling about and searching in another direction. "Look for signs of a dragon, look for signs of a dragon..."

Arrow tried his assisting as much as he could, he actually went a head and fixed the damage Riptide caused in a cabin

Sterling looked at Surge for a moment and nodded. "At least try to help a little," she suggested, adjusting the Zanerak so that he was.... Sorta.... On her back. //Please don't be stained with my blood...// she thought, remembering her injuries. Slowly and painfully the Zeraxi started her way back up the mountain, a heavy unconscious Riptide on her back. //So this is what it felt like, dragging my drowned body around? Dragging the insane crow around? Consider this your refund, Riptide..//

Coldfire leaned back against the bench in satisfaction and watched the townsfolk for a while, letting his mind drift to idle thoughts. It suddenly dawned on him that he and Giranja, for once, were not battling evil dragons or running from danger as they had done since the day they had met. He stared at the shifter. For once, they could finally relax and get to know each other. //But what do we do?// his mind nagged. //I haven't "hung out" with anybody in years - in a civilized way, that is.//

They made their way back up to the cabin, slowly but surely. The bird carried Riptide's mask and held up a corner of his cloak so it wouldn't accidentally trip the Zeraxi and mess everything up. Sterling was breathless and fainted the second they made it back to the cabin and set Riptide down, and the jay took a bit of cloth in a drawer and slowly tried to bandage the cuts on her legs, then curled up beside her and stared blankly around the inside of the cozy place.

We got quite a bit done today. :0

Day kept going. Her sun now shining brighter. Crimson slowly turned a ruby red, his scales basically made of ruby. Crystal feathers lines his head and all the way down his tail to his tip. He had large red and white wings and black markings. Day collapsed, weakened more than Novali. "Agh... Remind me to grab beets soon..." She said weakly. Crimson lay there, eyes closed, not much corruption evident. It spread a little but stopped. Half corrupted, half normal. The sickness was gone and he was breathing normally, however he was in a very deep sleep. "It- it worked." Day said getting up. "Oh my gosh... He's the last Litrigal..." She added in awe.

Taken aback by the sudden and unusual question, Coldfire blinked at Giranja. "My age? Uh...according to the calendars in my country, I'm 137." He rubbed his neck in embarrassment, staring into the distance. "I know, I'm pretty young. Most dragons live dozens centuries, but my species isn't as fortunate. I wonder if it has to do with the environment we're raised in. Stunts our growth capabilities or something..."

Scaredy wasn't sleeping and hanging upside down like the rest of the TrickFurys in the cave. Instead he lay on the twitching and shivering like someone had spooked him almost to death. Covered in twigs but mostly leaves for some reason, mostly for "protection", His multi-colored eyes peircing everywhere. Frightened as heck, Scaredy dashes daggers from one point to another.

Sterling faintly felt Surge move her slightly, but she was already deep asleep and dreaming again. A long chasm stood right before her, a thin rock bridge suspended by nothing branching the gap. //I know this place... Home!// She bounded forward and almost fell off the edge when she realized her legs felt all broken and her side burned like the hottest fires. //No! I have to get home!// She regained her footing and pressed onward, almost teetering to her doom multiple times. It was extrememly dangerous, but she felt safe, like she was being watched over and if she were to fall someone would catch her. The Zeraxi happily stumbled onto the flat summit she knew so well and realized she was a pup again, but her injuries were still there.
"Adiana!" She cried out, not caring that she no longer knew how to speak correctly. "Adianaaa!" The gray canine barked and whimpered but yelped in excitement when she saw the great winged wolf come over the crest of the mountain.
"Sterling?" Her gentle voice said, taking a few graceful steps closer. The Zeraxi hurtled toward her. "Sterling! What's happened to you? Where did you go all this time?"
//I've been everywhere,// she thought, but for an answer all she did was hug the wolf tighter.

Coldfire's attention focused on her motions as she removed the bandages from her arms, then reverted to her face. "Oh, that's fine... I hardly follow my own kingdom's traditions." He considered her statement as he rested his elbow on the backrest of the bench. "I suppose so..." He nearly asked for Giranja's age but stopped himself when he recalled the universal courtesy in which you never ask a lady's age.

Scaredy let out a squeal and his pupils shrank small again after growing big from the darkness inside his little "tent". Shivering harder he had horrible weird images in his mind. Thinking scary thoughts and assuming something bad was going to happen right now and there.

Coldfire nodded. "If we're talking in human years, at least appearance-wise, I'd be..." He paused to make a calculation, "Twenty-two?" With a shrug, he dropped the subject and centered his gaze on the shiftress's partially-healed wounds. "You gonna be alright?" he asked more quietly.

She tilted her head. "That... Actually could be the reason. Hmm... Well let's get this guy to the kingdom for my mom to put in a cage to see if he's more Crimson or normal... Then we can return to Lezulos." She said grabbing him gently with her talons.

Meanwhile Lezulos has explained it to Thero, the Rewin found it quite scary news and it flew off in disbelief. But he knows about it so he knows to avoid corruption. Lezulos waited for the SunFury's return. Confident they will be back soon.

"Zis could be the cure for corruption if I reverse engineer it vith de Glowing Hiu Globes from Ze mountains of Dola..." (No spelling issues, its german accent)

They arrived by the large boulder entrance, Day pushed it out of the way and picked Crimson back up. "Let's hope my mom can find the corrupted flower before anything else gets corrupted from it. Wait... That means BlackShadow really didn't corrupt him... He wasn't lying about that.. Huh." She thought outloud. "Mom??" She called out, Lora perked her ears a little and set the syringe down, running up to them on all fours. "Day! Novali! And... Who is dat?...."

"This is Crimson, the self corrupted Letrigal. We mostly fixed him with extreme light but we want to lock him up just in case. Perhaps you found a corrupted flower previ-" "Oooh ya! I did find it, I'm messing with it right now." She said pointing at it.

Lora nodded, "Ya I can take care of all of dat. Just go and do vhatever you vant, I got dis." She assured, carrying Crimson to a cage and locking it, then proceeded to experiment with the corrupted energy.

Day shrugged. "Lets go to Lezulos then?"

"We'll explain to him after. We need to make sure Dralius isn't listening to Lezulos's future words or she might corrupt Thero anyways..." She said spreading her wings as she walked towards the exit of the cave.
