Anyone know of any ways to clean under a 3ds' dpad without taking the 3ds apart? There's a cat hair under mine I think. It makes the dpad kinda unresponsive when pressing down or to the right. It's been like this for a few months.

It gets on my nerves a little more every time I draw. It's f**king AGGRIVATING since I use the inkdropper more than any other tool and this makes using it a total pain in the a.ss.

Didn't have much desc space, had to leave this out to add tags:

I've tried blowing in the dpad, but that only helps for about five seconds then it's f**k-all again.

Okay you've tried blowing it out, but have you tried giving it the SUCC with a vacuum? Is that even a safe idea? VAGUE UNSURE GESTURES

I sometimes have to press and hold on the dpad like five times to inkdrop a color /once/. Imagine how annoying that gets when you inkdrop hundreds of times while coloring and shading.

Ffffffff I'm so agitated by this that I don't even feel like trying to draw anymore tonight lol. Ahhhhh this's pissing me off royally.

Lol slow typing GG

I've thought about using my handheld vac to try to suck it out, but I'm not sure it'll work since the hair is under the dpad. It's not even visible. But I'm sure it's a cat hair though because the dang things stick to my sweaty hands then get in my game controllers when I play, even if I wipe my hands. (Thankfully, those controllers aren't hell to get things out of.)

It's worth a try I'd say, but other than that I'm not sure what else you could do. Maybe you could try getting something else in there and using that to move the hair out of the way? Something you wouldn't lose hold of ofc, like nylon string or something like that.

Hate ta' say it, but it feels unlikely a single hair is the culprit.

That's probably the next thing I'm gonna try. I've tried sticking a hairbrush bristle in it but the bristle was a liittle too big.
(And made me even saltier when that failed lol.)

Mmhhh, well I guess I'll get off now since I'm not gonna draw and that's what I usually do at this time. Thanks for trying to help, Rip. lol

Sometimes I use a small paintbrush to clean tight spaces on my 3ds

Aw man. Under the D-pad? Using a vacuum is the best bet. otherwise, I think removing the D-pad is the only other option. It's safer to take it somewhere like a best buy or see if there's anyone you know that's a mechanic/engineer. If not, Id say look up tutorials and be VERY careful of what you do.

The rubber part of my circle pad broke off and I had to play/draw without it for years lol.

Sorry I'm not much help but I'm sure you'll figure something out.
Maybe send it to a repair.

Oh dear. That's got to be annoying. Getting hair stuck in places of an electronic device would cause issues. Maybe use some tweezers to fish it out? Unless if it's buried in there or is quite stuck. /: O

re: I used to listen to A LOT of rock music, but now I have, like, a fetish for metal music...

Also, if I might add, the PC version of Doom is what I would recommend if you ever get a chance to get it; It's content is literally infinite, thanks to the endless mod support it has. It can also become VERY addicting, In a negative kinda way...

Also also, a sequel to my story (Sinister Beings is the name of my series, as of right now) is in the works. It takes place right after the first story, and has a weird/disturbing cyborg-ish theme to it.
"Sinister Beings II: Forbidden Practice" is a possible name for it. It's actually sorta...F*cked up.

re: maybe... But idk... She's done stuff like this when I was younger. I just have a hard time trusting her rn. She's made a lot of things worse for me

I know a few spanish words too. The only three japanese words I know are "kon'nichiwa," "neko," and "makudonarudo."

re: Hey, that's right lol, Rocky has evil-like abilities, but he uses them against evil people.
The reason I say my story's f*cked up is mainly because of the bad guys...I made them specifically to make people WANT to kill them. That's actually a reason why my characters always look pi,ssed off all the time lol.
