Nero keeps a savage side to himself, trying to hide it so he wouldn't have to attack those he cares about. This feral side kicks in on rare occasions, but when it does, he has to hide deep within the forest, usually a cave. This usually happens at night, but can happen during the day, on very rare occasions. He doesn't fully transform, but still retains the wolf features.

This feral side is triggered if he's under a large amount of stress. In this state, he loses his sense of reason and control. It takes someone he trusts to cause it to wear off.
