This is not as good as I'd have hoped...

Eckeer out in a FIELD. Not a swamp, a propper field.

Eckeer eventually will get srying abilities and even some future visions.
Because of his abilites he's eventually adapted into a tribe as a seer.

I think though that he'd have a hard time fitting in and still wandering off just because it's what he's used to.
