Warning- this gets pretty gorey, you have been warned.

He stumbled down the long hallway, his friends collection of disassembled body parts lining the wall. He held his eye, the scratching coming from behind it so loud to him but barely even noticeable to any other. The pain rippling across his scull, a painful migraine and a pushing stabbing feeling coming from behind his eye, he knew what was happening. He stumbled towards the door at the end of the hallway as the clock on the wall struck 2:07 Am. Groggily, he shoved the door open with his free hand and stared the tall one eyed man in the face "Chevalier? What are you doing awake? Do you have any idea what the time is?" Asked the man holding a small scalpel and his lab coat slightly stained with red at the sleeves. Chevalier gritted his teeth as the scratching at his eye grew more painful and his eyes began to tear up at the pain and emotions running threw him. He stumbled and fell down, the man barely catching him. "E.. Ex.. it's the scuttler.." he stuttered out, holding back tears "am I going to lose my eye?"
Ex heaved him up onto the surgery table and sighed, "I'm afraid so.. to remove it any other way would take too long, if you're in as much pain as you seem it's ready to rip it's way out.. I can painlessly remove your eye but.. ripping out that spiked bug won't be as painless.." he explained, a sorrowful look in his eyes "and I don't have time to anesthetize you.." Chevalier began to cry, the thought of losing his eye tearing his emotions apart. "This will not take long.. right?"
"No Chevalier.. not long at all.."

Ex took two clean pairs of what looked like tweezers. He used one to pry open the bloodshot eye Chevalier was holding his hand over due to the pain and the other he held firmly in his hand. One of his assistants held the tweezers on his eye open and Chevalier began to wince in pain again. "This'll only take a moment, please hold still." Ex said firmly.
He lowered to tweezers in his hand down to Chevalier's open eye and precisely to the edge of his eyeball. Chevalier tried to force both eyes shut but one was forced to stay open and caused him to let out panicked tears. Ex dug the tweezers in deeper into his eye lid and gripped down, Chevalier let out a sudden scream of pain as Ex quickly ripped his eye out. Ex cut the veins with a knife and left in his eye socket was a pool of blood and a spiked, angry little centipede type bug flailing about. Ex held the bug between the tweezers and pulled.
Chevalier let out an ear piercing yell of pain that shocked Ex's assistant to much they let go of the tweezers holding his eye open, the bug's spikes dug straight into the eyelid and he let out another yelp.
Ex held Chevalier's eye open with his gloved fingers and tore the bug out with full force, Chevalier let out another scream sure to have woken the entire Kingdom and the bug squirmed in between the tweezers. Ex placed it into a large box and got some cloths and tissues to wipe up the blood in Chevalier's now empty eye socket.
Chevalier was breathing heavily and was extremely panicked, Ex wiped up the blood and gave Chevalier a drink of cold water. His assistant brought out an eye patch and Ex placed it neatly on Chevalier's head. Chevalier then noticed the bug squirming around the glass cage "why didn't you kill it?" He asked, slouched over on the surgery table. Ex chuckled and ruffled Chevalier's hair "I thought you'd want to be the one to burn that thing in the pits of hell."
