Salem is a scientist who does research on what can safely be put into creatures, and what helps them function better. He went too far once and injected a poison into himself because no subject was willing. He survived, but now his blood is toxic. When he gets anxious, all the green parts of his body glow, and when he's sad, they dim. He's actually very nice, ( cont in comments )

but he's super shy. However, sometimes the power he has goes to his head, and he loses sight of whats right and wrong. He's extremly smart, but is very humble about it. Once you get him talking about his work, though. He. Wont. Stop.

ALTHOUGH, his work is used for um... not so good things. A lot of the creatures that survive end up being very vicious, which is actually intendid, because Salem believes that to be a superior being, you must be strong. Because of the toxins he injected himself with, he has the ability to make his claws and teeth inject what he put in himself into others, which doesn't always end in survival.

and when he loses sight, he will tend to use a subject against their will to test his work instead of it being consentual. When he gets like that, he doesnt care if the person dies or not.
