I put my DS on charge before we went out so I should be good! I might be a little slow at the start because I'm drawing/writing something for Morty that'll make the planned confrontation between the not-quite-evil-but-have-questionable-life-choices gang and Ango's family + Keenan have a bit more sense XD

I'm considering getting Armin and Co. up and about today. It's nearly morning anyway, and they need something to do.

I'm just gonna check last week's RP to see what was happening, and then I'll start if everyone's ready.

It was the break of dawn and the forest was alive with the shrill sound of birdsong. Armin slowly opened his eyes and sat up in bed, yawning and trying to remember whatever had happened last night.

'Oh, yeah,' he mumbled after a while. 'Count Sargon's army took over Shacklestone. All the humans we didn't rescue are probably dead by now.'

It was then that he remembered he wasn't alone in his hideout, either. Quickly, he threw on his clothes and headed downstairs, where to his slight surprise he found Ivy making herself some coffee in his kitchen.

'You're very at home, aren't you?' he commented from the doorway.

She jumped a little at the vampire's voice, but regained her composure fast enough to shoot him a glare and reply, 'Well, it's not as if I have much of a choice, is it? My entire home city's gone, thanks to those goons.'

{From the second floor comes the sound of a door opening followed by what sounds like an angry grumble. Shambling down the stairs comes Jeremiah in his jeans, a white shirt, and without his hat, revealing an unkempt mess of blond hair. Sitting down at the kitchen counter, Jeremiah addresses Ivy and Armin}"Oh, boy, is it that time of the day again?" {He says in a tired tone. He then begins to pour himself a cup of coffee.}

Smiling and transforming back into a human, he brushes off his coat before beckoning for his two companions to follow.
"Come on then. Slightly less crazy people are waiting for us!"

Ango leads the group around the corridor, flinching at faint yelling behind them, unknowingly hearing the end of Crowley's hunt for crazy blood.
"We need to keep moving."
She says softly, Toby whimpering in agreement. They soon reach a reception-like area, a blood-splattered desk in the middle of two branching paths. Ango sighs.
"If we were able to take that other path, we could've been out by now...I just hope that the weird planty birdy cat thing hasn't come this way too."
"Well, there's no time like the present. Lead on, masky."
Keenan grins slightly, ignoring the prickling of slight fear run through his fur.

Armin shrugged and yawned again, taking a seat at the other side of the kitchen and watching the others drinking their coffee. He didn't pour any for himself, though he looked like he was considering it. 'Well, at least it's more peaceful outside now than it was last night...'

Ivy, who was by no means a morning person, merely growled something under her breath as she took a gulp of scalding black coffee.

Following his companion's lead, Crowley closed his eyes to concentrate on shifting back to his human form, but nothing happened. He opened them again, looking confused for a moment before he caught sight of the morning sunlight shining through a nearby window.

'Craaaap,' he swore, 'I forget for a second that I can't transform in the daytime. Eh, let's go kill people anyway.'

Jed wuffed anxiously, checking again for the planty birdy cat thing's scent. He was becoming increasingly more worried for Ango's mum.

('increasingly more')

{Gulping down his last drink of coffee, Jeremiah turns to Armin.}"Oh, I've been meaning to ask, do you have any markers or colored writing material? I just need red and blue."

'I might have some. Give me a minute,' said Armin. Getting up from his chair, he left the kitchen and went into one of the rooms beside it. After about thirty seconds, he re-emerged carrying a small, unmarked cardboard box filled with pens, pencils and markers in various colours, which he handed over to Jeremiah. 'You might be able to find the ones you need in here. I don't even know why I have them.'

{Jeremiah nods his head towards Armin in gratitude.}"Much obliged." {He then turned to Ivy.}"I don't believe we've been properly introduced. Hi, my name is Jeremiah Garvey, private investigator and police consultant." {He extends his hand towards Ivy in greeting.}

{ @King Imma summon the Hyperdimensional kitty-cats in a minute, just a heads up.}

Armin sat back down and watched them. Ivy eyed Jeremiah's outstretched hand, then reached out and shook it briefly. 'A pleasure to meet you, I suppose,' she said tiredly. Her gaze flickered towards Armin for a moment. 'And are you two going to be able to do anything for Shacklestone?'

(Draco: I need something from Tochi, you can look at the end of the last session if you can't remember what Sheldon did.)

"Most certainly." {Jeremiah stated optimistically.}"I've got some ideas, and with a little help from a few friends, I'd say we've got a pretty good chance of stopping him."

Tochi looked back at Sheldon, smiling. "Don't you remember me?" she questioned softly.

Armin nodded in agreement. 'I'm not quite that confident that we'll succeed, but I'm going to do what I can. It's my personal payback against the man who destroyed my life.'

Ivy sipped from her cooling coffee and watched Jerry over the rim of the mug. 'Well,' she said after a long pause, 'if you two are going to fight him, then I will too! After all, I'm one of the only humans still alive. I ought to do something to help my own race.'

The werewolf took a step closer to her, tilting his head and pricking up one long red-brown ear. He didn't speak, but turned around and curled up in front of their den, intending to get a few minutes' sleep before the sun was fully up. And even though he couldn't quite remember who this strange little blonde-haired girl was, he knew for sure that he had to protect her to the end.

"Well, it adds to the fear factor."
He says with a slight grin, exiting the room and heading towards a turn-off which pointed them in the direction of the rooms of the "insane" ward. He passes a few rooms before stopping before one room, the light inside being turned on, unlike the other rooms. The nameplate had been knocked off of the door.
"This looks good."

"Come on, we have to hurry!"
Ango heads off down the right corridor, passing room after room.

{Jeremiah began to pour himself another cup of coffee.} "Take heed of your own words, miss. I appreciate your enthusiastic attitude, but this is going to be extremely dangerous and will likely involve numerous clashes and skirmishes with Sargon's army, and anyone who helps us will be at severe risk, especially humans."

Crowley inspected the door they'd stopped at, and gave his trademark evil grin. 'Yeah, this'll do. Let's go and have a look around.'

He reared up on his back legs and slammed his shoulder as hard as he could against the door, causing it to fly open and crash against the wall on the other side.

Ivy smiled and mimicked him in pouring herself a second drink. 'Oh, reeeeally?' she said. 'But unless I'm somehow wrong, YOU'RE a human, and you're going out there to fight. If I'm at risk, then so are you. And I can learn to use a weapon. It's not as if I'll be rushing out there with only my good looks for defence.'

Armin said nothing, but continued watching them with a faintly amused expression while lounging in his chair.

"Helloooo?" Thorn called excitedly into the room. "Someone for us to play with?"

Stepping into the room, he quickly scans it and sees nothing.
"Hello? We're looking for survivors!"
He calls out, shooting a look at Thorn, but looking slightly amused.

An uneasy feeling rises in Ango's chest, making her begin to run through the corridors, Toby not so far behind. Shaking his head, Keenan follows at a slightly slower pace.

{Jeremiah chuckles.}"That's true, but what you don't know is that I've had formal combat training and I've been trained, against my will, of course, how to effectively combat, disable, and dispatch all manner of non-humans by my crazy hunter parents. I might be at severe risk out there, but I'm far better equiped to survive. I'm not saying you can't help us, I just want you to thoroughly understand what you'll be getting into."

{Hey, I've gtg, but I'll be back very soon.}

Crowley took a far more direct approach than either of his companions, roughly shoving past them and bounding into the room, black wings flared. 'I swear we're not gonna hurt anyone!' he called out, but the horrible grin on his face somewhat ruined the effect of his words.

Sheldon huffed out a breath and closed his eyes, letting himself drift off into a light, uneasy sleep from which he could wake up at the slightest noise.

(Alright Aggron, no problem.)

Ivy lowered her coffee mug and rested her head on her hand. 'I KNOW what I'm getting into,' she sighed impatiently. 'I know I might die horribly or get turned into a vampire or a werewolf or - something. But I'm going anyway. What else is there for me to do, other than sitting around in this dingy little house? I'm meant for better things than that.'

Jed dashed along at Ango's heels, ignoring the occasional(sp?) stab of pain as he trod on a piece of broken glass.

(ladies and gentlement, the moment you've all been waiting for...)

A feminine face peers from behind the bed in the corner across from the room, belonging to a woman in a patient's garb. She looks at the group with alarm, but strangely calms when looking towards Mortikai.
He looks back at her with confusion and curiousity, stepping forwards with an arm out as a signal for the others to stay back for a moment.
"Who...who are you? And why do I feel like I know you?"
She's about to answer when a yell from outside cuts her off.

As the group turns the final corner, they see the open door and the light near the middle off the corridor. Recognising it as her mother's room, she sprints towards it with adrenalin pumping through her veins.
"Hey!"
She yells into the room, glaring at everyone inside. Toby almost comically slides into view, growling.

(Ooooh maaan bad things are gonna happen.)

Crowley bared his teeth and tried to push Morty's arm out of the way, not understanding why he wasn't being allowed to jump on this woman's bed and tear her face off. 'I wanna kill it!' he shouted childishly, flapping his wings and lashing his tail back and forth, nearly hitting Thorn behind him.

When the door burst open and Ango's voice yelled out of nowhere, he stiffened, whirling around on his heels, talons clenching, every part of him spoiling for a fight.

Thorn whipped around to face Ango's group. "What are you doing here, kid?" she asked with a little smirk. "Trying to be a hero, are ya?"

Jed gave a low growl, appearing in the doorway beside the other two.

"Ango?"
The woman gasps, half-standing to look at her daughter and show that she's alright.

"Mum!"
She smiles, then quickly gains back her serious face.
"You weirdos stay away from her!"
Toby barks in agreement.

Keenan stays passively in the back, choosing to jump in when it will look good. He realises that Mortikai is there, which only makes him curious.

Mortikai spins around, only gaining more confusion upon seeing Ango (and Keenan behind her).
"And you! Why do I know your name?"

Crowley's eyes flickered back and forth as each person spoke, and he let out a harsh caw of laughter when Ango told him to stay back. 'You think you can make me do anything, you stupid little kid?!' he hissed, then paused uncharacteristically when he noticed the way Mortikai was looking at the new arrivals.

'Hey, what's up?' he asked curiously. 'Do you know these freaks or something?'

While he was sleeping, Sheldon's body began to change. The fur faded away, the long muscular limbs reverted to small, skinny human ones, and when his eyes shot open in panic, they were brown instead of yellow.

A moment later the panic disappeared as he realised where he was, and he rolled onto his back with a groan of pain, throwing an arm up to shield his eyes. 'Ohhh... my head hurts.'

Tochi glanced over at Sheldon. "Ah, you're back to normal," she said pleasantly. "You turned into a full werewolf to protect me from a dragon."

@Rad/Draco
"I don't know. I don't know! I feel like I really should but I don't!"
Mortikai says loudly, taking off his hat and wiping his forehead.

Confused at Mortikai's question, she speaks up.
"Look, we don't know you! Just, please, let me get my mum! I'll do anything, just, please!"

His eyes darken a little, looking at her with seriousness.
"Never say that. Never say that you'll do anything because you won't."
He almost growls, which sparks a round of threatening barks from Tobias.

'What?!' Sheldon's voice rose to a near-squeak. 'I turned into a - a /werewolf?/ And I don't remember it? What if I do that again and - and the werewolf hurts someone?'

He wasn't quite ready to refer to 'the werewolf' as himself yet.

'I have no freakin' idea what's going on right now!' exclaimed Crowley. 'Can you all stop messing around and just kill each other already? I was looking forward to getting my claws in that woman before you weirdos interrupted.' He was too busy ranting to notice the way Morty's voice darkened, his entire being focused on Ango's side. His claws rhythmically clenched and unclenched.

{I'm here, but I'm eating. I'll join in soon.}

"Chill out, birdbrain - let's see what interesting cra.p these two have to say to eachother," Thorn said lazily, watching Ango and Morti with interest.

To everyone in general: I forgot to mention this before, but I've got less than an hour before I'll have to leave. Just a heads-up.)

'I don't wanna 'chill out',' Crowley hissed out of the corner of his mouth at Thorn. His feathered tail was flicking from side to side like a cat's. 'I want to drag my claws through their stupid, pathetic little faces and cut off their fingers and make them beg for mercy before I kill them...' he reeled off in a disturbing whisper.

"It's okay, you'll get used to it soon enough and then you'll be able to control yourself better," Tochi reassured him. "Anyway, I think you know even as a werewolf that you're my friend. You won't hurt me, and I'll try to stop you from hurting anyone else. Anyone who's not trying to capture us, anyway."

Sheldon pulled himself upright, squeezing his eyes shut as pain shot through his skull. He groaned quietly and rubbed a hand through his tangled hair in an attempt to alleviate it.

'I-I hope you're right,' he murmured. 'And I'll do my best to keep you safe... now that I actually CAN.'

{Jeremiah smiles again at Ivy}"Well, now that we've covered the risks, welcome aboard."{He gets up and grabs the markers.}"I'm going to go get ready. When I come back down, we'll discuss the details of my ideas for taking down the Akkadian*." {With that, Jeremiah heads back to his room.}
(*This is a jab at Sargon by comparing him to a barbaric ruler from ancient Mesopotamia.)

"Thank you, Sheldon," Tochi said happily. "Honestly, you saved my life. And I think you'll save it many more times."

Armin watched the investigator's back as he left the room. 'The what?' he said nonchalantly once Jerry was out of earshot. 'Ah well. At least I know someone's got a plan, because I've got nothing.' He said the last part in an undertone, but Ivy - sitting at the kitchen counter and staring thoughtfully into the dregs of her coffee - still heard him.

'Shouldn't you be making more of an effort to save the city?' she asked bluntly.

'The city is lost already, girl,' he replied, shrugging. 'Nearly everyone's gone. Like I said, I'm doing this mostly because I want to see Sargon dead. I'm not really one for planning - I'll leave that stuff up to the smart guy.'

Ivy let out a long sigh. 'I guess it was too much to hope for that you'd be handsome AND intelligent.'

Sheldon clambered shakily to his feet and looked her timidly in the eyes. 'I... thank you,' he mumbled. 'I think that's... one of the most pleasant things anyone's ever said to me.'

"All I need is some explainations, then you can rampage all you like."
Mortikai says while glowering at Emilia, who had retreated back into the corner with her arms over her head. He steps towards her slowly.

Ango yells at him.
"Stop! Get away from her!"
Toby has to bite down on the corner of her hoodie to stop her from running forwards.
Ignoring her cries, he kneels to the patient's level.
"Now, you're going to tell me why I know you and your child, and I promise that you'll both leave this room alive."
He says in a quiet yet intimidating voice.

This only makes her breathing take a nosedive, shaking slightly as his way of speaking reminds her of how Ruscar would act.

{As soon as Jerry got into his room, he got dressed, but didn't immediately go downstairs. Instead, he pulled out his knife and began to carve an intricate circle pattern into the floor. After this was done, he took out the blue marker and drew the symbol associated with Brink, the one who would do no harm. When the symbol was complete, he proceeded to try to summon him.}"Hey, buddy, you listening? I could use the help right now."

Crowley's jaws twisted in something like a smile gone horribly wrong. 'So you think you'll stop me killing her, will you?' he murmured. While Mortikai was busy speaking to the woman, who he now assumed was the little girl's mother, he turned and shot a threatening look at Ango, warning her to keep back or else.

Arminus raised his eyebrows at Ivy's last comment. 'I'll take that as a compliment,' he said, ignoring the jab at his supposed lack of intelligence. He poured himself a mug of the nearly-cooled liquid from the coffee maker and drank it slowly, his crimson eyes fixed on the kitchen window. There view outside consisted of not much besides trees and shrubbery. Ivy didn't grace him with a response.

"You're welcome," Tochi said quietly, going over to give him a quick hug. "We should have a proper look around the woods today, and see if there's any better places for us to stay," she suggested once she'd let go of him.

The blue symbol glows ever so slightly as a white mist begins to rise from the floor, bringing a calming air with it. The mist forms into the upper half of a white furred feline. It opens it's eyes and looks up at him.
//Jeremiah Garvey. To what do I owe the pleasure of being summoned by you?//
It speaks in an ethreal voice, sounding close yet far. It was strange, yet oddly comforting.

Sheldon sucked in a quick breath when she hugged him, then nodded and peered around at their surroundings. 'I suppose so,' he replied. 'But I don't THINK anyone else lives around here, not that I've ever actually BEEN out here before, of course, but I've seen... maps and things.'

"Hmm... we've got to find somewhere. Even if we have to walk for a while," Tochi said with determination. "Do you remember where the nearest town or something actually is?"

(i might head off now-)

'Ummmm...' Sheldon floundered helplessly. 'I...I think it's a little village somewhere that way.' He waved a arm in a vaguely southern direction. 'But I can't remember the name or anything. I know it's quite far away, though.'

(Alright guys, I don't want to, but I really ought to head off now. This has been great fun though!

Also, I think next RP will be our 20th. XD)

At the back of the group, Keenan had taken some interest and was listening closely to the conversations.
