bootleg elephant by Rip-Tooth
Lil' doodle of a species I designed last month, they have no name yet but are animals native to Heidin, jaiger homeworld. They're like... elephant tapir elk. There are a handful of closely related species, but this one gets about as tall as african elephants and probably thrice as long overall. The impressive horns that every individual grows make up a good chunk of this length (they get quite a bit bigger than depicted), and their tails make up another chunk.

Something I didn't show here is the beautiful long, silky curtains of hair that grow from the outer edges of their horns (also their horns should totally be rotated out further but am I fixing that on this drawing? NAHHH). This hair also grows in two rows down their long tails, mirroring their horns. This species is very social with it's kin and communicates through a wide range of vocalizations and gestures. Said vocalizations consist of sounds close to elk bugling (I have a very specific ref for this noise, I think you can look up a vid of the "apprehension machine" and it's the noises from the metal rulers at the start!), and extremely low rumbles. With most other large animals these guys tend to be rather testy. They're herbivores and spend a lot of time casually grazing and talking with each other. There are old jaiger helms with designs heavily influenced by these guys and their horns!

Those horns are in the right position to LITERALY poke someones' eyes out. XD They should come with a warning to 'keep away from small children' haha!
