My guinea pig, Penelope, died at three am.
She was sick, so I put her in my room for the night and I watched her from my bed until I passed out from exhaustion.
I had set an alarm for 5 am in case that happened, so when I woke up, I immediately checked on her.
Penelope had died right after I fell asleep... I only slept for two hours, and I can't fall asleep again.
I wrapped her up in one of my baby blankets because she loved the smell of it, and my mom put her in a box and wrote "Sweet Dreams." on it.
I'm so sorry, Penelope. I'll miss the stupid little expression you made whenever you wanted treats. I'll miss your loud squeals at 4 in the morning. I'll miss your big happy eyes that always shone so bright. I'll miss the fact that you loved Guinea so much, even though he bit you whenever you touched him. But mostly, I'll miss the fact that even though you were dying, you heard me talking to my brother at my doorway, and ran over to my foot, because you wanted my attention.
It's currently 7:30 am, and this has already been the worst birthday of my life. But I don't even care that it's my birthday. Right now, I care that my piggie died, and I don't ever get to see her sweet face ever again.

i know how this feels - i had that with 2 dogs, 4 birds, fishies, and a mouse its one of the worst things ever

I'm sorry for your loss, losing a dear pet is really hard. Just know that she's in a peaceful place now.

I am so sorry for your loss . . . I know the pain. We had three guniea pigs, Ebony, Ivory, and Diana, who lived with us for six years. They all died last year within months of each other. Let me know if you need comfort or just someone to talk to.
