Re: With all that's happened in my life and my troubles I've fallen away from God. I consider myself more agnostic than devout Christian due to all the misfortunes that have struck (the person who brought me back to God as strong as I was had betrayed me time and time again over two years) but I can offer whatever advice I can

To be Christian, all you have to do is trust in God/Jesus to change your heart because of the sacrifice Jesus did many years ago. That man cannot change on his own but with the help of God. So if it's something you'd like to pursue, pray about it and develop a relationship with Jesus, who is God. Pray about anything on your mind, read the Bible, attend church. Whatever helps strengthen your relationship. Focus on little steps, not big growth. And if you find yourself falling away, remember that it gets harder and harder to go back the more you fall away, as I've realized

The reason you and everyone else falls away is because of the first sin. It's in your blood

and DNA. It's human nature. It's human nature to err. Christians believe that God made us to not err but because of First Sin, we have become damaged beyond repair. Humans take responsibility in what we do in life and we fail according to God's expectations. However, God is gracious enough to send his One Son Jesus to earth to become sacrifice for our errs. Jesus took the punishment that humans should get (we still are disciplined for what we do but believers' souls are safe) so that all who believe and trust in God may experience this change in heart. We seek genuine forgiveness from God, then God works in his people's lives

This is how the Christian faith works. Faith that God loves his people to literal death. Only thing is, I don't consider myself Christian because I fail to see God's love in my life situations and said events lessened my trust in God and in humans and everything else. It's a tough walk that you need to dedicate yourself to, through good times and bad

Re: God gave me someone I loved so much and who had once loved me the same, who brought me to God and made me feel so alive. But this person God gave betrayed me time and again and now I have nothing left. How is this God's love in my life?

Re: I had forgiven him. So many times. Gave him so many chances that he blew. Pushed my life back so much and sacrificed more than anyone should've in order to save his life from what I understood his side of things. Yet he used me from what I think based on his attitude towards me. If God keeps letting trauma hurting me of course I'll have trust issues with this being. If I trust God, would he truly bring me out of the neverending life valley? And how would it be possible? Is my life for nothing?

Hello. ^-^ I want to thank you for assisting my friend. I've tried to remind her of those truths myself, though recall what she's going through and imagine her situation. However, as Ceta and I have known each other longer, I better understand her tendencies to confront situations when the unexpected arises. Of course, we've all had moments like these at some point in our lives. The best thing we can do is be patient and continue to support her as a friend. ^o^ Thank you once again, and God bless!
