The day was new but the scenery stayed the same. Gloomy and desolate. Our heros have befriended their escort Serah on their own travels before coming here and now rely on her for her predictions and guidence to the castle. She awaited them outside with carriages that would take them the rest of the way there.
Akara was sheathing his sword for he refused to forget it. He looked at the people who traveled with him thus far and gave them a confident nod and headed out side to meet with Serah.

(Woo ok that took me a min now feel free to reply how you wish and when everyone has entered a carriage I'll write the second scene)

(Also hi everybody! Thanks for making it to the finally of arc 1 ^v^)

The dry winds of the erulean continent blew eagerly out and over its kingdom. Filling every hole of the kingdom.
Yet, it seemed the animals in the neglected landscape refused to utter a single word. Just biding their time.
Lumen stared ominously at the finely made carriages. His eyes were fiercely determined. He had spoken with Serah earlier in the small establishment about the possible events that might transpire in the castle. The best of the scenarios he felt, were out of reach. Whispering to himself quietly, he spoke.

"One step forward slice. Two step they pay the price.
no need to immobilize. Just strike lethal, ignore their cries."

After repeating his small battle rhyme, he walked to his masters side. Awaiting orders

[Lumen]
Akara looked at Lumen happyily that he had such a skilled retainer and friend. "You ready for this? " he said with a bit of hesitation. He wasnt scared nor did he fear what was going to happen. He worried for those who might get hurt if things transpire to the worst case senario.

(Feel free to hop in @pooky and @Heishi cause you two have very important roles this rp day lol eve)

Claudiesa was facening her armor securely when she caught Akara's serious gaze and nodded in return.
As she stepped outside her armor gleamed in the sunlight.
She looked up at the sky, closeing her eyes, her mentor's words came to her.
She lost herself in the endless blue of the sky for a moment before steeling herself for the comming meeting.

Lumen adjusted his robes. Sealing all the little air holes for comfortable wearing. It now had a more dynamic way about it to help keep from being hindered. He checked his Rapier and daggers and the other small knives he had in his robes. Ready for combat. He looked to Akara, his eyes showing a combination of sadness yet determination.

"I am ready sir. I shall protect you to my last breath."

[Lumen & Akara]

"Hopefully it doesn't come to that." Claudiesa said somberly.

Kou was pre-set up for battle and survival, mostly due to the fact that he didn't change for sleeping. This was because he didn't trust anyone in the country. The new king was the old kings advisor, right hand man. Kou and the old King of Erul never met, but Kou knew if they did meet they wouldn't get along. The old king of Erul destroyed his country, and instead of this new king fixing that, he invited all royals except Iclios. He was going to make his country the great, prosperous, happy and joyful thing it once was. Kou hadn't slept for long, he didn't know whether the king of Erul had predicted that he'd come without an invitation, and had something planned. He finds it difficult to trust even the elegant, yet blind fortune teller. He was mearly eleven years old when the War of Expansion happened, and it was because of that war that he would end up taking over a destroyed, crumbling, dying country. It had ruined his future kinghood.

[Lumennn]
"Hopefully it doesnt come to that friend." He smiled confidently. Now I think we made Lady Serah wait long enough. He said this as he walked to Serah.

[Everyone]
"Good morning everyone I hope you all slept well." Serah said as she bowed to them. "These carriages will take us the rest of the way to the castle." She gestured to the carriages that were being handled by collared hybrids.

Lumen turned his head in the direction of a familiar voice. His eyes were met with the inspiring form of the Vepuran leader Claudiesa. He bowed to her in greeting.

"Indeed your highness. I hope it does not come to such dire straights."

(Hiiii eniliaaaa and yep i woke up about and hour ago my self lol)

Lumen turned to Serah and bowed to her. He stared at her with grieved eyes as he knew the danger she was in. And it was prying at his conscious being that the possibility of her or someone else he cares about falling prey to the whims of evil.

"Good morning Serah...."

Lumen looked to the carriages, a blur of memories flowed back to him from a time in his past.

"Indeed, the castle..."

[Serah]

Claudiesa gave a quiet nod to Serah.
Though no one could tell, Claudiesa had misgivings about this meeting and the safety of the blind prophet in front of her.
She puffed some flames to calm the nerves.

Akara smiles at Serah fully knowing he may not see her again. And boarded one of the carriages.
Serah smiled lightly. "Lady Claudiesa and Sir Lumen a word please?"

Lumen looked to the towering red clad woman and nodded. His demeaner was no longer gentle like the prior two days. Lumen's demeaner now resembled more that of a trained killer. Quietly sizing up the possible events.

Claudiesa gave a curious look at Lumen before she and him came up to Serah. "What is it?"

Lumen heard the soothing voice of Serah. He shook his head slowly in her direction and spoke.

"I am sorry milady Serah, but Milord is boarding a carriage. I would hate for it to depart without me by his side.....Please speak quickly before it does so..."

"Sure, we all slept well."
He thought sarcasticly.
He saw the hybrids, and said not a word. Though he was worried.
During the war of expansion, Hybrids were the front liners. They were monstrous, destructive beasts that would kill anything, and everything, everywhere. But he had heard from many Afai residents that those hybrids were taken against their will. "Why would they be so vicious?" he thought. He had known of Eruls enchantors, and thought maybe they did something to the hybrids.

[Lumen/claudiesa]

"They wont leave with out you dear Lumen." She smiles at them both "Now please heed my words. If today turns out to be one of the terrible visions I told you two last night this day you must escape. No matter what. Even if it means losing sometging important escape and head to the port towards the west." She seemed very serious that they listen to her. "If you dont you all will surely perish and the world will crumble into darkness."

Claudiesa was silent but serious as she let those words sink in.
She looked at Serah with sadness but didn't let that sadness invade her voice as she answered, "Understood."

"Th-thank you for your advice Serah....I hope that you fair well...."

Claudiesa gave one last look up at the sky. How can it be beautiful on a day like this? she thought to herself before boarding the carriage.

Akara nodded sadly "I heard. We should change it." He said sternly "Fate wont be what guides us today. But our own choices and determination will." He griped the armour at his knees as he said this a fire of determination burning in his eyes.

He thought about what could happen, and though it seemed doom would meet them, he found it angered him more than scared.

Lumen adjusted himself in the seat of the carriage.
A dull noise could be heard from his robes as his hidden knives clanked in his arm sleeves.

"Well spoken milord. But it is hard to change the fate of someone that can choose their own fate. I really do hope we can save Serah....But there are just so many known unknowns In this whole ordeal that we can not properly compensate for. I assure you that bloodshed in unavoidable....."

Lumen looked to Akara with a chilling stare, one that Akara had probably not seen before.

"If people we know become our enemies today and attack us. I will not hesitate to part them from this world."

The carriages soon left as the last one boarded. The wheels clacking along with the horses pulling them seem to echo throughout the town. Soo our heros were escorted to the outside of the castle where they were met with guards wearing heavy armour. Serah was the first one off and waited for them by the castles doors.
"Lets go Lumen.. i rather not keep waiting a man with a natorious temper. " he got out of the carriages and looked at te guards. His sword alone wouldnt be able to cut down these men if it comes to that.

Claudiesa took in her suroundings once she got off the carriage, looking weaknesses, last thing she wanted was to be caught flat-footed.

Lumen stepped carefully of the carriage and onto the ground next to Akara. "Indeed Milord. Best not to keep his majesty waiting."

Lumen was sizing up the equipment of the men and looking for weaknesses in the armor or holes in which to jab his weapons. Thinking to himself: "There is a very small gap underneath the arm pit that I could exploit to my advantages.....And even the helmets have some small openings...."

Lumen looked at the majesty of the castle. It was stalwart and menacing in its appearance. The ramparts had men lining as far as the eye could see. This was less a castle and more a militarized fortress.

Lumen strode behind Akara. His arms tucked in his sleeves in a gentle façade. His eyes were darting everywhere, sizing up weapons. Armor. And even posture.

Lumen nodded instead of speaking. Choosing to shed no more words for the time being.

"I see...."

He was untrusting. He wasn't going to be talking over tea, he thought.
He thought of how perhaps he was lured into this to be killed, so the royal line of Iclios would befallen into oblivion, never to live on. His skepticism grew.

[Serah & everyone]

Claudiesa nodded briefly and took lead behind Serah, she knew if anything went down she could shield anyone who needed it, she knew her armor would hold out for her to take a blow.

Serah escorts them to outside of a war room. "Here I must wait outside, all that is discussed is between the royals only."
Akara was surprised at this "Im not going in there with out lumen." From his respose Akara had a land immediately pointed at his face threateningly. The guards harsh voice was emitted "Those who were invited by the king himself may enter all others must wait outside, By refusing you are declaring immediate war and will be slayed in place." Akara gritted his teeth in irritation.

(I just found the 30th anniversary orchestra concert version of Hyrule Castle! Omg its so intense! You can hear all of the moving parts so clearly! My soul just melted! So intensely layered! o3o It is poetry in music!) -Everyone

Claudiesa grasped the man's wrist firmly. "Let's not be hasty."

Lumen showed great restraint as he spoke. He was completely outraged by such a suggestion.

"Forgive me if this is out of line.....I understand rules are rules....But I suggest you send a squire or servant indoors and ask permission for my entering. Since I am bound by oath to follow milord wherever he may tred. You of all people noble knight know of oaths yes?"

[Everyone]
Kou glanced both ways.
He thought to himself that it was odd that they would seperate lord from retainer. Even in formal discussion, a royal is accompanied by a bodyguard. It seemed as if they were making them vulnerable.

"And I must warn you to never raise arms to my master again. Or else next time I will not show restraint. And you will....Be a bit lighter......"

Akara sighed "Lumen You are to wait outside these doors. But if anything seems off to you... you know what to do.." Akara said more as an order than a suggestion to Lumen. Which was quite out of character for him. Once the guard heard what Akara said he lowered his spear. "It was an order by the king to only allow royals in. Oath or not orders are final." The doors were opened to the war room.

Lumen bowed to his master, obeying his orders.

"Yes milord....."

Lumen's eyes flashed in the light as he bowed.

"I understand.....Be safe...."

Under lumen's breath he cursed for the first time in what seemed like years.

"Damn this king....May his reign be brief....and his life be shorter...."

She leaned in close to Akara's ear and whispered, "keep calm and keep your eyes peeled."

Kou gripped the handle of his sheathed sword as he entered the war room with the other royals. The feeling of distrust had filled him, and he found that without retainers they were vulnerable against any ambush.

As they entered the doors shut behind them.
The war room was dark and only certain places were dimly lit from candles. There were empty seats around a table. "Come... please take a seat." One chair was occupied by an Elvan man with Snow White hair. The man didnt give off any aura and was quite intimidatong. Akara unsteadily obliged and sat at the far end of the table.

"Now.." The man sat up and gave a wicked smile. "Let us discuss terms of surrender shall we?"

[Outside War Room]

Lumen paced back and forth outside of the war room. His face was bent in a soul crushing glare that only one without emotion would not fear. His arms were behind his back and in his sleeves while he angrily paced back and forth. His eyes darted from guard to guard. Looking at the weaknesses in their armor and cracks where he could strike. He already knew how fast the soldiers outside the war room were. He knew that facing them would not be easy, but he prepared nonetheless.

(Lumen)
Serah took a seat on one of the chairs. "Lumen dear come take a seat." She said quite calmly, waiting for the meeting to end.

Kou walked over to a chair, but sit he did not.
He didn't reply, but merely stood. He wasn't going to show trust.

[everyone]

Claudiesa didn't take a seat for she didn't like any of this.

She gave a long stare at the king after his declaration that they talk of surrender.
Claudiesa began to giggle which came off a bit creepy since she doesn't tend to laugh this way.
He doesn't know what he's thinking picking a fight with Vepura. She thought to herself.

[Serah]

Lumen's eyes darted in her direction. Anger coursing through his veins his face had that of one that was betrayed.
He walked over to her and sat down next to her.

"You said I would be permitted inside......I trusted you..."

(Everyone)

"S-surrender??? You are in no position to ask any of us to surrender." Akara said sternly

"Now now. This is suppose to be a peaceful gettogether. If you were to get to hostile I would be in every right to put you down prince." The man didnt seem to be worried in the slightest. Meaning he knows who hes picking a fight with and thst hes ready for it.
"Oh how rude of me." He waved his hand in a circular motion. "I'm Lumious Ardene. And what Im telling you isnt up to debate. I'll either have you surrender your lands to me or I'll have you labeled as Erulian enemy and have it taken by force." He pointed at Kou "one" he pointed at akara "by one" lastly he pointed at claudiesa "by one"

(Sorry I'm late. I was busy summer cleaning my room!)

Aria, flapping her wings as hard as she can, landed outside the castle gates out of breath. She yells out, "Is anybody at the door? Let me in!"

Serah looked very distressed "I didnt mean to decieve you dear Lumen. That wasnt my intent. But I needed you out here. Please understand my time is limited and I must ask you a selfish thing despite me deciving you." She pulls a necklace over her head and holds it out to Lumen.

[Erul king and everyone]

Claudiesa lifted her helm up to reveal a smile that held no humor. "You want a war with Vepura? Are you sure?"

Lumen's gaze lightened and turned to that of regret. He showed undue hostility to her. And he felt awful for it and wished he had never shown such a side of himself to her.

"P-please forgive me....I am so sorry...I should not have been so hostile-"

Lumen saw the necklace and paused, his eyes stuck on the necklace.

"Th-this is-"

Kou grew angry and hateful. He knew that Iclios wouln't stand a chance against Erul. Even after ten whole years his country has hardly recovered. He however swallowed his anger and showed no emotion. He didn't want to give the king such pleasure.

"Just like that, hm?"
He would stare at the king.
"Even if my country was burned to the ground, what benefits you in the situation."
He looked at Akara and Claudiesa.
"You're threatening three countries. Even his royal lordship would know that you'd make like Iclios. That or you'll end up doing what you did last time..."

He glanced back at the king.
"...Run out of resources."
He would then say
"Why do such a mission when clearly the people of your country would suffer?
Clearly your political prowess is low, because what your suggesting is just coming from your blood-thirsty instincts."

{Erulian King}

(Lumen)

"This is known as the Goddess voice." She looked at the gem "It allowed me to talk with the goddess." She sighed "When I am gone.. i would like to ask of you to take it to her sisters temple in Freia" Serah looked desprately at Lumen. "It is a selfish request yes but please..."

[Lumen/Serah/Aria]

Lumen said nothing as he stared at the necklace in awe. This was something of great importance and it had left him speechless

Lumen stayed silent for a moment and lowered his head in sadness. He reached out his hands to the gem and cupped her hands around the gemstone with his.

"Do not say such things....This is your voice too.....I shall keep you safe....You shall live to see another day....I want you to see Citrine....And be rid of this perilous land....You will live........."

Aria flew in and landed next to Lumen and Serah. "Hi. Did I miss anything?"

Akara could no longer stay silent "How dare you! Your father destroyed Icilos, kiddnapped Hybrids from Afai and now youre here to threaten te other countries as well?! Im sorry but I refuse to let my people be taken by some one who doesnt give a damn about his own. I deny surrenderig and rather obstruct my land neutrality and go to war!" Akara stood up "Lets go we have no other reason to be here any longer" Akara headed towards the doors.

A woman with big brown hair docked her ship. "ERUL! WE'VE ARRIVED!" She callef out. She then went down below decks to tell the one on board "Hey lass we've docked at Erul." She smiled happily. "I'll be here for a while so if you need another ride just come back and I'll take yah."

Tyrell is standing outside, keeping watch to make sure this whole ordeal isn't a trap.

"Old Fool? You are the same and merely younger. You don't stand a chance against three countries. Whatever is benefitting you isn't worth your own destruction."

[Serah/Akara/Aria]

Lumen heard his master voice from within the war room. And his head shot up. He listened to see if his master was in any danger. He did not want to kill the guards prematurely.
He looked at Serah. His face one of sadness.

"It is happening I fear....Milord never uses that tone....Not if things are going well...."

Lumen turned and looked at the girl with wings and beckoned for her with his hand. Signalling he wanted to say something.

[Erul king]

Claudiesa lingered before heading for the exit, she was giving the king that same humorless smile the scar on her right cheek visible. "Hmph, too bad you're evil, you're rather cute."

(Crazy stuff is happening @Shadowblood. The king of Erul wants everyone to surrender their kingdoms to him. You, @Emblem and @Kimio can all make a squad of peeps ^0^)

Aria stares at Lumen and asks, "What? It's getting boring in here. I want to go outside!"

[Serah]

Lumen held the gemstone and her hands as he spoke still.

"I may have to do some awful things in just a moment......I am not worthy of this job milady.....But if I must, I will carry it out for you in your stead. But that shant be the case. I shall keep you and milord safe..."

[Aria]

Lumen nodded as he heard the woman speak.

"I was actually going to suggest you go out there....Things are going to start heating up in here....If you can find anyone at all to assist....I would like for you to fetch them...But be nondescript about it. I would hate to alert the guards of this information..."

Akara opened the doors and exited the war room quite in a tizzy. "Lumen!" He called out. "Gather those who came with us we must leave quickly."

As everyone left the war room Lumious tappe the table quite amused. "What a shame... and I wanted this to go oh so peacefully..." Luminous snapped and a guard immediately went to his side "Do it" he said then his guard nodded.

(Tyrell, is it Nira, and what is Shadowblood's character?)

(Serrice)
Aria flies outside and accidentally crashes into Serrice. "Oops! Sorry! My hair got into my face!"

[Akara/Serah]

Lumen stood to his feet, still holding Serah's hand.

"Very good milord! Come Serah, stay close to me!"

Lumen strode with Serah over to Akara.

"Everyone leave now. Blood is to be spilt at the hands of the Tyrant King."

[Serah and everyone]

"It's time to go. We must make haste. Serah stay close to me." Claudiesa pulled her helm down, and flexed her claws in preparation for fighting.
"Let's get the hell out!"

(Lumen)
Tyrell stands up straight and looks at Lumen, nodding

Aria starts saying, "Listen! There's about to be a fight breaking out near the war room! We need some help!"

Kou was walking out. He knew what was in the near future. He joined the other royals, and spoke not a word. He gripped his sword, knowing the King wasn't satisfied with how the meeting went, and keeping guard was a wise choice.

(Everyone)
"By order by King Lumious, all who oppose him is an enemy. Dont let them leave, unscathed!" Guards began charging at the group will to die for their king so nothing was being held back. When one was killed another would take his place.
Serah tried to stay with Lumen as best she could but her hand was slipping from his grasp.
Akara unsheathed his sword and bean parrying the attacks made at him.

Aria starts explaining. "The King has gone Crazy! He's going to attack anyone who opposes him in the castle!"

Lumen felt the grip waver for a moment. His heart sunk at this and quickly he turned around and grabbed her arm with his other hand.

"N-no! You will see another day!"

Lumen redoubled his efforts and pulled Serah in front of him. This slowed his pace a bit but he was determined to keep her alive as well.

After he pulled her in front of him, he reached for one of his daggers and held it backhand ready for any who come near him.

"Akara! We must keep moving! Do not stop moving! There are two many to take on! Even for me!"

[everyone]

Claudiesa crouched low, arms held out on either side claws flexed out. without a moments hesitation, she lunged at a guard like a wild animal attacking it's prey. The guard's scream was cut short. She looked at everyone else and attacked any who got too close to her party.

(NOOOOOOOOOO @KOHAI! xD Do I just roleplay keeping Serah alive for a wee bit?)

(just assume that Tyrell rushes in to join the fight and protect both his lord Akara and Mistress Serah, though he protects Serah more while telling Lumen to guard Akara... that good?)

(Luckily, Akara Lumen and Serah are all very close together. So it will be sort of a group protection kind of thing at the moment. But that might change at any moment ^0^)

A guard approached Lumen and Serah. Lumen spun Serah out of the way of a sword strike. And at that moment, Lumen drove his daggers blade into the now exposed extended arms pit. Slicing the man's good sword hand and cutting important veins/Muscles arteries. He continued his retreat with Serah, Akara and Tyrell.

"Tyrell! I need backup! Their gaining on us!"

(Well... i don't feel comfortible RPing a fight atm...)

(Well if you are protecting Serah, you will be pulled into a fight. Since Serah is being targeted as well and I suspect, going to do die this chapter :-; Idk what to do exactly. I guess Tyrell could be trying to gather the remaining people and get them out?.... idk you decide.)

Aria starts running back inside. With a loud whistle, she called the biggest swarm of bats and sic them on the guards.

(i just don't feel comfortible RPing this...... so i guess scrap that Tyrell was ever there if you're not okay with me not RPing the fight)

Claudiesa was on all four as an on rushing of multiple guards targeted her as a primary threat. Before they could react she unleashed a massive stream of fire from within.
The guards were caught unprepared for such a thing, many of them tripped over each other in pain and panic.
Claudiesa let out a beastial growl.

[Serah/Akara]

Lumen had the Goddess's voice around his neck as him, Akara and Serah retreated. Another guard approached them at an alarming speed and swung his sword downward at Lumen and Serah. Lumen quickly swiped his Dagger arm across the mans forearm. Severing several muscles. The blade drop to the ground with man.

"You..." *Huff* "Will..." *Huff* "Survive!..."

Lumen and Serah were approached by another Soldier. Lumen was not expecting the attack and had to swipe frantically to the side to parry the attack. It jarred his arm because of the shear wait of the weapon.

"Ack!...n-not today!'

Lumen swiped at the man's hand and cut across his wrist.

(Wait @Kimio! We don't want you to leave the roleplay! You don't have to fight if you don't want to. I just wanted to let you know that guarding Serah involves fighting. That's all ^0^ You can have Tyrell do what you wish. :D)

Kou quickly spun around and slashed. He was prepared, as he predicted an outcome like this may happen.

As he fought, he found it difficult to fend off many guards. Every few hits he could make through the armor were vertually weak, due to the armor they were wearing. But poison slowly began coursing through them, for his blades name translated as "Poison Blade"

He faced off against a guard, and the guard made a thrust to Kou. Kou ducked and crouch ran to the Lancer. The lancer jumped back, side stepped and spun, hitting Kou with the long metal pole of the lance. Kou got back up, sword readied.

The guard jumped back and pierced once again.

Akara parried another attack "Where the hell is the exit?!" He yelled out to them He cut down one guard "The armour is extremely tough even for my blade! What is it made from??"
Serahs eyes watered "Lumen please youre going to die if this continues."

Aria shows up and start blasting the frightened guards with dark magic while the bats start flying around their heads. "Take that, you jerks!"

"Serrice, help Lumen and Serah they're getting overwhelmed! Do what you can to get them to the exit, i'm gonna try to stem the flow of guards!" She said in urgence.

His name is Venenum Acies and that translates as poison blade because the sword is covered in poison xD I messed that up)

Aria shouts to Claudiesa, "Hit the deck!", before blasting a huge ball of dark lightning at the guards.

Serah didnt want anyone to die. She didnt want the people she grew close to through her travels here to fall. She pulled away from Lumen escaping his grasp. "GO PLEASE! "She took out the cube that was given to her by Lumen to use for this situation. As she was about to use it the unthinkable happened. (If any one is uncomfortable with gore or anything of that nature dont read any further) She was impaled by a long glowing spear, by none other than the King himself.

[everyone]

Claudiesa did something she hadn't done since the last war she was in. She let out a thundering bloodcurdling roar as massive wings formed from her back and her form changed and grew into a red and black scaled dragon.

(Everyone)
Aria, with wide eyes, jumped back away from the dragon and fired a bolt of dark lightning at the King. "YOU ARE A MONSTER!!"

Claudiesa sweeped her tail in a wide arc that sent dozens of guards flying through the air only to hit the ground and not move.
She turned just in time to see Serah before the one thing she didn't want to have happen, happened.
She thrashed at guards more than before to clear a path.
Her gaze was set on one individual, the king.

Lumen felt serah slip from his hand and he tried to catch it again but he was at a full sprint and she let go. So he had to stop his speedy escape. He saw the King of Erul approach from behind her and he went to speak.

"N-no! Serah! Behind yo-"

Lumen saw the spear pierce right through Serah's body and it brought immense rage and sadness to him. It stabbed at his heart violently to see such an atrocity.

"SERAH!.......NO!"

Lumen drew one of his Daggers in one hand and kept his Rapier in the other and was about to charge at the King of Erul.

"HOW DARE YOU! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?....You have....SLAYED THE VOICE!...."

(Dude! That was just wrong!)

(EVERYONE)
The life in her eyes began to fade "Go..." she managed to say as she activated the cube and a blindingly bright light was emitted from it.

Akara yelled out not knowing what just happened "Everyone to the castle doors! Use the light to escape!" He cut down a guard.

(It had to happen to really implement the hatred toward our now known antagonist! :D It is good writing honestly! Thumbs up to you @Kohai :D)

Aria whistles and all the bats fly for the exit. She jumps into the air and,after firing one more bolt of dark magic at the King, flies for the exit like a bat out of hell.

Lumen sent his rapier spiraling into an attacking guards helmet. It plunged in making an awful noise. The soldier and his weapon fell to the ground silent.

"She did nothing to you.......SHE WAS INNOCENT!...."

Lumen had narrowly deflected with his knife a sword swipe at him. This once again, damaged his arm. He stabbed his rapier quickly into the man's arm and started to back away. He knew he could not continue after the Erulean king. He had to flee

As lumen escaped, he stabbed a wounded soldier trying to get up. He was angry, and wish for no one to live. He gathered himself and reached Akara.

"Milord! They killed her! They killed HER!......"

Claudiesa unleashed fire at the doors blasting a huge hole for them to escape.
She took to the sky, her massive wings kicking up so much wind that guards were be bolled over from the force. As the flash went off, she dived down at exilerating speed with one thought in mind: she was not gonna leave Serah's body behind in the hands of the king.
In one smooth swoop she snagged Serah's body from the ground and flew to meet the rest of the escaping party.

Akara eyes widened but then he saw the wounds of his friends. "Lumen.. " he was conflicted, he want to stay and fight but he knew they were outmatched in strength and numbers. "We have to go" he stumbled but made sure everyone was out of the castle before taking off running as well.

The castle was now littered with bodies of the guardsmen they fought.
"Heheh well what a turn of events..." Lumious pulled out the spear he threw. "Now goddess" he looked up at a memorial of the goddess. "What will you do without you little doll?.." he looked at his guards who were still standing "clean this mess up" he then walked bacl to his room. "Long live the king" he said with a chuckle and the war room doors closes behind him.

Claudiesa came to the ground her form shifting back to normal as she touched ground amongst her comrades, cradling Serah's body in her arms.
Claudiesa was deathly quiet as they ran further from the castle.

Lumen and Akara were marching away from the castle. Lumen's robes were stained with blood. Along with his weapons. Much of his robes were also tattered from the constant blade onslaught gliding by his body.

He saw the familiar face of Nira approaching. She seemed unscathed and he was relieved to see this. Silently he marched with Akara toward her.

"Is everyone here?" Akara asked currently out of breath. "We have to get to the docks before they catch up." He saw claudiesa carrying the lifeless body of Serah and the grief finally started setting in. He had to look away. He saw whst looked to be "Wha?!" He sprinted towards her "Nira!" When he got to he he shakidly looked over her "youre not hurt are you?"

Claudiesa didn't answer immiediatly. "We lost a friend. Come. War is upon us we must prepare." she went quiet.

Lumen caught sight of Claudiesa carrying Serah's body and he immediately ran that direction. He ran swiftly toward her, the Necklace Of The Goddess strung around his neck.
As he saw the breathless form of Serah up close, immense sadness flowed through him. He was already grieving, but this made it all the more damning.

"Claudiesa!.....th-thank you for retrieving her body.....I-it means a lot to me...."

(I wholeheartedly agree with @Pooky! This is an amazing chapter! And I am glad I set aside time for it ^0^)

He saw Akara run forward, so, as fast as he could go, while bleeding, he ran. Tripping occasionally.

Lumen saw Akara starting to depart with Nira.

"Ah.....We will have to discuss this later your highness.... I must re group with milord."

[Akara/Nira]

Lumen approached his master and said nothing as he stood behind him. He did not want to intrude on his master's conversation.

(Claudiesa)
Aria bows and says, "Thanks, my lady. Though I am a Dark Mage, I will always fight to protect you. Whether I'm using Dark Magic or calling big swarms of bats to scratch the enemies."

[Lumen]

She nodded confirmation to Lumen's wish.
She quickened her pace. "Come we must hurry."

[Akara/Nira]

Lumen stood there and heard ' ' Boat' ' Which set his worries at ease.

"A boat is our only escape milord. And the guards are not far behind. We need to get a move on.....They are close by..."

[Aria]

"Thank you. Your help is much appreciated." she said following the others to the port.

(Everyone)

Akara knew how everyone was grieving but he had to make sure everyone was safe first. He waved them down "Everyone theres a dock with a boat down there we can escape on. From there we can dress wounds and figure our next move."

[Akara/Nira]

Lumen's arms were killing him. The pain radiating from his right and left arms were overwhelming. Moving them was agonizing, but he grit his teeth and put aside the pain.

"Milord......I am sorry....."

Aria heard the words "guards are not far behind" and grinned. As she was walking away with the rest of Claudiesa's entourage, Aria made the loudest whistle ever. Three swarms of bats showed up. "Distract the guards. Enjoy your dinner if you are hungry." The bats flew immediately toward the castle and the Erulian Guards.

Claudiesa nodded in understanding.
"Good, lets go."

He was switching between conscious amd unconscious.

"Here lean on me you two I'll make sure you get on the ship." Akara was concerned if there were a healer near by.

Lumen bowed his head to Akara in appreciation.

"It is okay milord....I can walk....My legs are luckily in tact....By my arms are bit.....Bruised I think...."

Lumen tried to keep the pain from showing on his face and demeanor. Not wanting to worry his master in such a situation he stretched his arms a tad bit to show he was okay.

"I am still on high alert....In case someone attacks us..."

(Everyone)
The party was battered and bloodied from the battle but still determined to escape with their lives they make haste to the docks.
"Ahoy!!" Said a woman leaning on the rail of her ship. She quickly got off her ship and went to help the wounded on board. "Well you guys got in to a might scrap now didnt yah."

He passed out after finally being brought to the ship.

Aria walks on the deck and suddenly went 5 shades of green. "Crap.... I forgot I get seasick." She quickly throws up over the side of the ship.

"Oh yah absolutely! Just bring yer wounded on board and have them rest on the bottm deck I'll see what I can find for you guys." The woman quickly went to her quarters looking for supplies.

Akara nodded in agrrement with lumen. "Yes.." he also boarded the ship.

[Akara]

Lumen stepped aboard the boat with Akara. He very quickly acclimated himself with the sway of the boat. He was used to being on boats. He traveled very often to deliver messages for Akara. So he often had to travel to Afai, Vepura and Iclios to deliver said messages.

"The sea is our safe haven. For now...."

Claudiesa was below decks, she placed Serah in a cot.
She stared at her still form, her eyes were open but were missing the inner fire of life.
Claudiesa let out a grieving sigh as she gently closed Serah's eyes.

Claudiesa was above deck again, now that Serah's body was safe, she looked around the deck for those who may need help.

[Akara]

"Milord, how many people were injured? If there are any, I would like to use my first aid on them...."

Lumen was looking around for anyone wounded on the ship.

(Everyone)
The woman returns with a bag full of medical supplies, herbs, and bandages. "Would this be alright?" She asked Nira. "I could see if I have any more."

(Lumen)
"Youre right.." he said sadly. He looke out to the dock that they were leaving behind. Just a day agao they were making their way to erul. Just a day ago They met up with a friend who had escorted them. And in just a day a war has started and theyve lost someone very close to them.

(Everyone)
Aria finished puking over the side and just noticed the bleeding cut in her side and the blood pooling near her foot. "Double crap..." She passes out and lands on the deck hard.

[Lumen/Akara]

Claudiesa walked over to them. "We should see if anyone needs help with the injured down below."

Claudiesa saw Aria collapse. "Shoot." She ran to her, seeing her wound. "Gotta get you below." she lifted her up and made her way below where Nira was working on the wounded.

The boat was sailing away from Erul. Its current destination was currently unsure. Our heros suffered a great loss and were badly wounded. The enemy made a name for himself and now he has the rage of three different countries. But maybe thats what he wanted. The skies let down rain drops as if the goddess her self was weaping for her loss of a voice. What will Lumen do now that serah is gone. Will he do what she asked of him, leaving Akaras side for a while to go on the quest to Freia or will he ignore it to help prepare for battle. Who is the woman who pilotes the ship the heros are on. HIYA @Kohai! I wanted to ask ya about @Kimio's most recent picture designated to Tyrell. Tyrell as you know, is Butler class now. ( @Kimio said such)
Well the picture explain the Tyrell after the death of Serah, has the ability to heat his sword up. @Kimio herself stated this was a magic ability. But Butler classes (From what I can remember from the explaination you gave on the class) are not a magic based class. So?.....

@Kohai.... @Kimio said I was nagging her... And this has really upset me... I was just trying to help and she said I was nagging her. Please do something about it. Am I nagging? Am Ibeing overbearing? Is it wrong of me to try and keep confusions from happening and upholding class boundaries?.... ;-:
