Inside the thrown room of the Avian castle, Gelvak is looking down at a map on a table before him, written with lines and pinned with crudely-made tacks

"How was the recent raid?" he said to no one in particular, still looking at the map.

"Ahem." Gelvak sounded, a bit guttural and impatient.

Vendetta stood behind a nervous grunt with her arms crossed. She looked at him, then at Gelvak, then back at the grunt as the silence went on. After a few more moments, Vendetta let out a loud sigh and walked forward. "Move." She said to the grunt as she pushed him aside. "Sorry about that. I'll give you the report myself, if you don't mind."

"I don't care who tells me, so far as it's accurate," he said plainly.

He looked up to see Vendetta standing there. "Speak," he ordered.

Vendetta: "Very well. The raid on the city was going fine until the royals and their army showed up. The city was set ablaze, but most of the men were either killed or detained, and only a few of us managed to escape. The ones leading the charge were Lords Acen, Indigo, and Oriale."

Gelvak slammed a fist on the table. "So it was a failure?" he voice showing obvious irritation. "What the hell 'ere the royal armies doing at the festival?! It was suppose to be a simple loot job, and now it's all to blazes." his fists planted on the table and his head looking down now.

He rose it slowly halfway to Vendetta, "Where are they?" he said quietly.

Vendetta: "They're heading this way right now by ship. I doubt it'll take them more than a day or two to reach this place, so long as nothing gets in their way."

"Ship? Down the river? They'll be here faster than that," he said confidently. "Izayoi," he barked out.

He turned back to Vendetta, "You said Lady Oriale was with them?"

Izayoi: "theyre rushing toward our stronghold... we can decrease their numbers if not fully stop them as they approach. They'll be surrounded." He ramained tranquil as he analyzed the situation and kept his eyes closed as if picturing something.

Vendetta: "Yes, I saw her briefly while I was escaping. Long orange hair and riding a pegasus. That's her, isn't it?"

"Heh heh... Royal Red has come to join as the finishing trophy, eh?" he smirked. "But we must prepare for that aid from Xalys and Valon..." he thought.

"Izayoi!"

Izayoi: "Sir" he opens his eyes for the first time "should we eliminate Lady Oriale for good? I think we've taken enough risks already. I wanted to avoid the unnecessary spilling of blood but.." he paused and looked at Gelvak "They won't stop anytime soon. And the lords are an easy target and necessary for their goals."

".....Hm" he grunted. "It would have been a joy to have her as a trophy. But her lance will do," he decided.
"Izayoi, set yourself with men on the city borders and the castle entrance, I want their blood to be a mark to others see what it means to challenge me." he furrowed his brow, "Now go."

Izayoi: "understood" he nodded and started walking towards the exit "we shall bring an end to this futile journey"

"Heh heh heh... And if the young lords of Xalys and Valon are dead as well... In time their kingdoms will fall to my hand too." he grinned.

His smile lowered. "Well, get going, girl," he ordered Vendetta.

Vendetta: "Alright." She turned and followed Izayoi out of the throne room.
