Anyway, to answer your question, my favorite is probably "jerk with a heart of gold." Examples of this are: Buford van Stomm (Phineas and Ferb), Miles Edgeworth (Ace Attorney), InuYasha (uhh), and Trevor Belmont (Netflix's Castlevania).
