Aru hid in his cave, he wasn't a cave slate, but it was his only camouflage he has known. The dangers of the jungle outside were still not known by him.

Glamor was drinking water and sat by a creek. She was alone since her friends wanted to play with each other.

Aru heard water nearby, his stomach growled,//I wonder if there's any fish?// he took a step out of the cave, his bright white fur sticking out like a sore thumb against The greenery.

She rested herself in a bush very close to the creek making herself visible to others.

Aru perked his ears to the sound of the running water nearby, he followed the sound. He arrived at the stream and looked around to make sure he was alone, he noticed another creature among the bushes. He hesitated to speak.

Glamor didnt notice that Aru was right by her. //Ah, just the peacful sound of running water.. Nobodys around. Just.. Myself.. So relaxing...// She thought camly through her mind. The sound of water soothed her.

Aru shook slightly in fear,//what if they attack me, what if they're mean? What if- what if I....calm down// he took a deep breath before speaking,"Hi?" He didn't sound to sure of his action.

She opened her eyes at stared at him. //..What is.. That?// "Hello. What are you?" She asked curiously.

"Oh um, I'm a Jungle slate. I'm not supposed to be white, I'm just Albino ha.." he said awkwardly laughing at him being different.

"White is my favorite color. Your very pretty." Glamor complimented.

"Th-thank you, Gah! I didn't tell you my name, I'm Aru." Aru smiled awkwardly. He sat down feeling that he was safe.

"My name is Glamor but you can call me Memee for short." She said smiling at Aru. //I wonder what slate is. Never heard of one.//

Aru nodded,"Okay, so um, do you- er live around here?" He felt awkward he knew he was being awkward. //hey at least she's not baring teeth at your neck.// he assured himself hoping he would stop being awkward.

"Yes I live on these parts. The jungle is a home to leopards too you know." She replied. //I wonder whats on his mind. He is acting a bit wierd.//

"I-I know, I was just wondering if you lived near the creak." Aru felt dumb for not thinking that leopards live here too. //I should've known that!// he looked at his paws.

"Oh, that? No, I just like to come here everyday. Its like a safe haven for me." She said camly.

"Oh," Aru didn't talk much, he just listened to the peaceful sound of running water and the noises of the birds up above. It was quite beautiful to see the scenery of the jungle around him.

"You like this place too huh? Its very nice here you can stay here if you wanna." She said once again as she rested her head on her paws.

Aru was brought back to reality by her voice,"Are you sure?" He asked before laying down next to the creek.

"Yeha! It actually be'd great to have company instead of being alone." Glamor said catching a fish from the creek.

Aru was a bit surprised by how quickly she caught it, with his short legs and white fur catching food was hard, he usually just stole from other creatures or ate left overs that other animals left. "Good catch." He said as he watched the other fish swimming around.

"Heh, thanks!" She had caught another, and tossed it to Aru. "Youre hungry right?" She said as she tore at the sea animal she caught the first time herself

Aru was startled by the sudden fish thrown at his paws,"uh yeah, thanks." He said as he watched it flop once before sinking his teeth into the scaly flesh.

She talked as she ate. "So, you said you were a jungle slate but where did you come from- from the jungle? And whats a slate?"

"Yes, I did come from a jungle. A slate is a type of big cat with a bit of lizard mixed in, although we have stubby legs we can get pretty big. I am just a jungle slate there are many other types of slates that I know of." Aru spoke between bites, he had forgotten how much he loved to eat fish.

(I gtg for now but I come bak layer gravypotato :'o)

"Oh, thank goodness a human didnt find a hybrid like you, or youd be into the frying pan from cold water." She said laughing at little.

"Human? What kind of creature is that?" Aru asked, he had never heard of them before, perhaps he has seen them around the jungle before.
