This makes me think of that old cartoon Gargoyles. It's been foreeverrr since I watched it, I remember loving it as a kid. lol
This /also/ reminds me of two other things, my mom (she collects gargoyles) and an easter egg on one of Halo 2's DLC maps, Backwash. There was a hidden-in-plain-sight gargoyle statue on the primary structure in the map.
...Gargoyles are pretty dang cool

I miss that show. With Disney's success with the Mavel Cinematic Universe a series revival could be well accepted.
