One day about 2 years ago, i dropped my 3DS on the hard floor. my current touch stick's ball top broke off. (which it's a DSI stick) and was stuck exposing the bottom part of my 3DS near the headphone jack.
just 5 days ago, i fell asleep with the 3DS still on my bed (nothing new) But in the morning. My hopes of getting that ball out finally happened... But with the price of a boo boo.
IT STILL WORKS as you can tell. But i just have to be more careful now.

Yeah, the kind of stuff is why I'm so paranoid of hurting my Nintendo 3DS XL.
Ironically enough, I sleep with my 5 year old Nintendo 3DS just fine.
