Guardian Vampires: Fangs

Fangs- Are thin, retractable teeth. They are much like surgical needles/ syringes, with a tube through the tooth to help suck up blood like a straw. When retracted, the fangs get pulled into a clean "pocket" of flesh in the sinuses.
The fangs are roughly an inch long when fully out. However, to prevent biting his or her tongue, the vampire only fully protrudes them after biting the victim.

Cuspids- Much like other vampires, these teeth are still elongated and sharpened. However, they do not serve a true purpose other than to rip through the flesh and inflict pain. Some studies show that they are mostly used to bite into tough and odd spots, such as joints and tendons.

Drinking Blood- Guardian Vampires do not need blood on a regular basis. They will need to drink it if they are wounded or fall ill.

Main Purpose- The main purpose for the actual process of sucking blood is unclear. Some use it as their main food source, but other times it is done out of boredom or the vampire's personal desires.

Researching teeth was very fun, and I feel way smarter than I was.
