Gosh I had the same problem w/ my old 3Ds, it never fully stopped working but I had to buy a new one because tape no longer helped (sometimes out of habbit I still put my finger in front of my screen because that's how I always kept my old 3Ds from closing :'')

And i know your feelings... I must bought a new 3ds because he was broken too... But I wanted to have the 3ds xl again, cause its a bigger screen for drawing ^•^
