Hallooo @Kimio! I see this is an interesting sub-story arc here, and I was wondering if maybe we could do a roleplay sometime tomorrow? Maybe involving Lumen talking to Hilde's mother and visiting Hilde. Since I think it would be neat storline wise due to all the cool story elements we implemented in our previous roleplays! ^0^

Oh yeah, I just wanted to let'cha know. Friend to a friend kinda thing.

Vepura's culture has never been shown to be biased toward other races. And as it were, there are more dragonfolk in Vepura than Elves. So it is more likely it will be judged by Dragonfolk, not Elves. Also Vepura has been shown to be a place that goes by the honor system, so it is a bit out of character for its people to be biased toward a elven people. Also, since Vepura is run by mostly (As far as we've seen) Law abiding citizens. It is percievable that its court would have a fair and lawful jury. Although, we could assume that the village Hilde comes from is far removed from Vepura's goverment (If there is any, I presume there is. Ask @Kohai or @Pooky) and full of generally corrupt and unlawful individuals.

Maybe i'm lverthinking things, but I just wanted to let'cha know.

If you feel I am wrong, please await the return of @Kohai about the matter.

I'm just going by head cannon, if I'm wrong bout it I'll tweak the story, but I have been planning this out ever since the ball was announced... I just think since Dwarves are the lesser population, some would view them with suspicion.

After all, there's always that one racist person, even in a mostly pure community.
I by no means think anyone's OCs are racist, just some random person to pop in to say something then leave before he gets punched... Yknow?
I by no means see this as a major plot, after all, I'll only be using Hilde as Actual plot for this family, so if I need to, I could consider this whole thing as a backstory.

I know your not implying anyones characters are racist. That is not a problem at all. Your a kind person and I know you wouldn't do that! ^0^ And this is also a side roleplay, so I know it does not clash with the main story, But. Side roleplays still reflect the roleplay world in a whole. So it is still a big step to think that Dwarves over night would be seen as lesser people even though it was not previously depicted otherwise. But that being said, I understand wholeheartedly what you said above about there being at least ONE racist person somewhere, no worlds perfect ya know? xD And I was not disavowing knowledge of the horrific and terrible fact of racism, just merely saying that Vepura has no definitive history of hating dwarfs. As it were, @Kohai's character Zeus is a Hybrid from Afai. Zeus was abducted from Afai in the events of the war of expansion. The Eruleans within it of themselves weren't racist per se, just merely devious since they developed a item that can manipulate hyrbids. So its only natural for them to capture Hybrids and enslaved them. (A heart wrenching concept really) The only people actually stated to possibly have a form of racism in written form is some of the people of Iclios. Since their country was beraided by an army of Hybrids, so a result of propaganda and real life experienced with hybrids on the battlefield. It has left Iclios with a bit of a hatred for Erulean and Hyrbid people. That being said though, I agree that some places regardless of how good they are, will have that one hole in the wall town that is different from the rest of its community.
That is why if this is to work, a good option to take is that the town Hilde and her family lives in has more Elven people in it than not. So a town full of mostly elves (Who we'le presume are not very moral people) doing a trial against a dwarf. (Now we could say that only elves really see dwarves as lesser people. Since in most fantasy game/roleplay/stories etc, Elves and Dwarves dislike eachother for various set reasons.) BUT that does not mean that there will be the occasional uppercrust who thinks he better than everyone, not just dwarves. But back to topic, that this town is actually run by unlawful elven people who abide by there own rules and are less than inhospitable to dwarves. And this would make sense since in medieval times, most towns had their own set laws and ordinances that are opposite or completely different in some cases from the country's general outlook. So this does make sense, once all the details are fleshed out! ^0^

I really would like to roleplay still though! So I hope this has not changed anything :-;

And yeah, Haiiro, they do live in a eleven community, there's only 4 dwarves where they live, and around 60 elves.

Okay! So if it is just a one off in Vepura that its kinda like an elven sanctuary city then yeah, that makes sense! I'm cool with that! And the reason their acting that way is because of unnamed incidents between elven and dwarven kind in the past. Because lets face it, rumors and sterio types start somewhere. Usual because of encounters with less moral opposites of their kind. :D

So would you like to roleplay sometimes today? I would really like to roleplay on this sub arc. I find it interesting and all the pieces fit now perfectly! And because of prior foreshadow in our previous roleplays, it makes sense that this would happen! So it doesn't feel tact on! If you are willing to roleplay, what time would you like to? ^0^
