I tried to draw myself, but it didn't come out how i wanted it to :/ i look cartoonish instead of realistic, but what ever, I can only get beter from here. Any tips?

I think it looks great! and portraits are hard to draw. you dont look very old, so if your drawing like this already your gonna be awesome! my tip is keep it up! :)
