Eldritch by Radiant Raindragon
Concept character for a story I may write someday.
In a surreal dream world that can only be reached by walking through a magic mirror, the King watches in despair as his realm and subjects are slowly consumed by a deathly fog created from the nightmares of others.

The King (whose real name is unknown even to his people) has immense magical and mental abilities, able to create and control shards of ice, often used as projectile weapons or - in the case of his staff - hand-to-hand combat.
The mirror world is extremely fragile, to the point where if a volcano erupted or a massive storm struck, it would likely destroy the entire plane of existence.
The King himself is also very frail physically (it's not a huge exaggeration to say a strong gust of wind could knock him over).
