Hives are triggered from a reaction to food, medicine, or other reactants. A good friend of mine gets hives regularly, because she's allergic to cat hair. If your allergic or get irritated by something, then that might be the source of the hives.

I'm not trying to be rude, but maybe you shouldn't consult an art website for medical advice? Misinformation can be spread easily, but I'd suggest talking to a medical professional if it seems to worsen. They would know what's really the issue, not users on an art website.

what I can say right now: Maybe its just a one-time-thing or it could be there forever, or just a couple of times. Hopefully it will be gone by tomorrow. Get relaxed and try not to put much pressure/stress on yourself.

I'd say pester her until she takes you to see a doctor. I had hives once and they took me to the emergency room.

Well, I was about six years old, or seven, we're trying to remember if it was before or after I had heart surgery. (It's how I remember my life. Pre-surgery and post-surgery XD)
Hives are big, they're colored sort of like a bruise and usually (from my experience) very very very itchy. I can't remember if they burn or not.

I get hives a LOT. I will wake up with my entire back covered. I'm allergic to latex, problem is, it's literally almost everywhere. I just take a pill and relax. -Un
