Amber dodges as the tail of Jet swings at her. Jet is a dark blue dragon with white wings, and red eyes, he happens to hate Amber.
"Stay still, half-bred runt!" He growls, towering over her.
"I'm eight moon cycles younger than you, of course I seem like a runt!" Amber replies, dodgimg as the tail swings at her again, and diving into the lava lake, Jet paces along the edge, flaring his wings and lashing his tail. Amber falls asleep, the warmth lulling her.
'Amber flies around, she spots Jet drinking from the lake. Amber growls and flies towards him, crashing into the dragon and digging her claws into his scales. She bites his neck as he tries to escape, blood pools into the ground, staining the lake red.'

"Jet?" Amber wakes with a start, and has to remind herself it was just a dream, she gets out of the lava and the ground burns under her claws until the heat cools down.
"Amber," Ray, a blue-gray female dragon, Jet's sister, says. "Help me get Jet to the healers." Amber's wings fold back as she spots Jet, who is laying in a pool of blood, claw and teeth marks deep in his exposed skin, his scales burned and cracked. "Amber? I know he was mean to you but please, I can't leave my brother like this!" Amber shakes her head violently, then looks back at Ray.
"Sorry, you're right." Amber says, helping Ray lift Jet off the ground, and slowly flying back to camp.

The leader of the tribe, Pearl, flies to where Ray and Amber were, helping them lower Jet to the ground in front of the healers cave.
"What happened to him?" Pearl growls, turning to face Amber. Jet and Ray were Pearl's hatchlings, Amber was her least trusted dragon, Pearl lifts her wings, preparing to attack.
"Mother, Amber had nothing to do with it, a shadow dragon attacked Jet, I saw it myself!" Ray says, standing between them. Amber's jaw goes agape, she has heard stories of shadow dragons, but she thought they were just that, stories.
"There's no such thing, it was this half breed that attacked Jet!" She flaps her wings twice, two gaurds come and chain Amber up, leading her away, she doesn't fight back.
