Still walking alongside Mortikai on their way to the hospital, Crowley tilted his head curiously and asked, 'So, why d'you care so much about making sure I don't bleed to death? Do you love me or something?'

(Aggron)
Sargon made his way around the prison as if he knew the layout by heart, meticulously investigating each cell and unlocking the ones that contained non-human prisoners. 'Whatever you choose to do is your business,' he said to Dianne. 'I will not interfere with you, and I expect you to extend the same courtesy to me.'

{Jeremiah pulls out a cigarrette and lights it.}"Armin, I think it //has// to be tonight. Come morning, Sargon will likely have posted guards in various places. If I can't get what I need from my office, my plan can't work."

(Aggron)
'You're eager to die, aren't you?' Arminus remarked wearily. 'I'll help you, but I want to know exactly what you're planning - I can't be of much use if I don't have a clue what's going on.'

Morty looks up at the dragon with a confused, yet amused, look.
"Last time I checked I didn't favour men over women."
He then shrugs.
"It's been a while since I've had someone stick around and be bothered to make friends. Making sure you don't die is a good way to honour that."

Crowley's teeth flashed in a nasty smile. 'Friends, huh? It's been a while since /I've/ had a friend too... I kinda ditched the last one.'

{Dianne closes her eyes and sighs.}"You said you're doing this to protect our race, but this will only bring us ruin. You will stand to face the unbridled and collective rage of man. Good luck and farewell."{With that, Dianne turns and begins to leave the prison with her draugrs following behind.}

'You presume to know the future?' Sargon responded, even as he saw her begin to walk away. 'You think you know for certain what will happen in the coming days or months - or years?'

He turned away without waiting for an answer and went to unlock another cell, this one containing a furious young dragon shapeshifter. Sargon calmed him with a few words and sent the dragon to join the ranks of his army outside.

"Hah, was it worth it? Ditching them?"
He rolls his shoulders a little, making him put a little hop into his step.

Crowley shrugged slightly, then winced, having momentarily forgotten why they were going to the hospital in the first place. 'Yeah, I guess so. He was really annoying. He was always telling me that I shouldn't steal stuff, or that I should be nicer to people.' His expression changed to one of mild disgust as he spoke.

@Draco

Toby falls into step with Jed, nudging him slightly and giving him a sort of reassuring smile.
Keenan turns to look at them, snorting.
"Your dogs are weird."
"Dog. Jed's not a pet."
Ango's cheeks redden a little as she speaks, remembering her earlier blunder with the dog food and feeling a little guilty about it.

{Jeremiah sighs.}"It would take all night to explain everything about this plan, so I'll give you the short version: I need to get some items from my wall safe. Some of them will give me the smell and appearance of various non-humans, and the others can, //hopefully// be used to //convince// a friend of mine to lend a hand in this ordeal. The former will allow me to move through the city undetected during the day, the latter will help us find out Sargon's full plan. Now, unless you can get us in and out during the day, now is the time to act, while the enemy forces are spread thin."

He chuckles.
"Why be nice to people if they're not nice to you? Much better than that "respect how you want to be respected" malarky."

Armin's eyes narrowed slightly. 'You have a way to figure out his entire plan? I seriously doubt that, but...' He glanced briefly out of the window, noting how the sky was starting to lighten in the distance. 'It'll be dawn pretty soon, so I guess if you want to throw yourself out there and probably get killed, now's the time to do it.'

Jed nuzzled Toby in return, before looking at Keenan(?) and barking. //No, I'm certainly not a pet,// he thought. //I'll prove that later.//

{As she walks out, Dianne turns her head and speaks.}"I've seen it happen before to a being far worse than yourself. I speak from experience, not clarvoyance."

Crowley smirked. 'You got an interesting way of thinking.' He then looked straight ahead and spotted the shape of the hospital just around the corner, groaning under his breath. 'Heeere we aaare...'

(Aggron)
Sargon didn't respond, preoccupied with the job of inspecting the few remaining cells.

Thorn floated along behind Crowley and Mortikai. "I have a few friends," she said. "They're at the far edge of the city. I imagine they've already left, if the chaos has spread that far."

{Jeremiah grins as he stands up.}"If we stay here and do nothing, we won't have a chance. Besides, I've been duping groups of shifters all night. How hard could this be?"{He then takes a stake from inside his coat, and puts two shallow holes in the side of his own neck. Grimacing, he holds a cloth to the wounds to stop the bleeding.}"This'll make sense later...."

(Draco)
'Are your friends as weird as you are?' Crowley asked bluntly, twisting his head around to look back at Thorn.

"Yes actually, they are," Thorn responded. "One is all scarred because she threw herself into a machine or something. One wears a mask a lot and likes frilly things."

{Meanwhile, Vitis, having gathered his things, begins strolling through the city, tossing a knife into the air and catching it.}"Now, where to go, where to go?"{He turns and sees the hospital in the distance.}"Hmmmm, some of those meds fetch a pretty penny. And given the state of things, they're sure to be in high demand!"{Cackling, Vitis sets of for the hospital.}

(Aggron)
'Don't get arrogant,' warned Armin, standing up. He winced as he watched Jeremiah cut himself with the stake, sucking in a breath through his teeth. 'THAT'LL make sense? If you're trying to pretend you got bitten and turned into a vampire, it won't work. We can sense our own kind easily.'

(Draco)
Crowley's eyes went a bit wide. 'Frilly things? Urgh. At least the thing about falling into a machine sounds cool.'

(Kiiiiiing are you deeeead)

{Dianne begins to walk home. Her expression is blank, as she is deep in thought. Suddenly, she hears a voice in her head.}
???:"Dianne, what are you doing?"
{She recognized this voice as one of her captive souls; The one who was hardest to keep compliant.}
Dianne:"I'm going home, Magnus."
Magnus:"How can you sleep now, while the innocent are being slaughtetered right in front of you? Women, children...."
Dianne:"It's not my fight, Magnus."
Magnus:"It's not? It used to be, so long ago." {Only those closely attuned to the other side could hear Magnus, while anyone can hear Dianne. To an onlooker, she is simply talking to air.}

He mutters, looking around slightly.
"We're almost at the hospital."
The lion shifter states as the large building can be seen over the rooftops.
"So we've noticed..."
Ango trails off, rubbing her arm nervously as the thought of finding her mother in a bad state worms it's way into her mind.
Toby eyes Keenan's tail, having half the mind to bite it if he became more of a problem.

"Fun fact, my brother worked with machines."
Mortikai states passively.
"Well if we're all talking about friends and I have none, might as well talk about family, eh?"

{Jeremiah smiles.}"Yes, but the turning process is not instantaneous; it generally takes about two days for a full transformation. If the bite is fresh enough, a new vampire will still smell human. It just has to work for tonight."

Finished in the prison, Count Sargon returned to his forces waiting outside and began to issue orders to specific troops.

'I want a small force situated on Oakwood Road, guarding a certain building that we have talked about before,' he said quietly. 'The man who owns that building has been a minor thorn in my side for some time. I have kept watch over him for several days and I feel that he may be one of the biggest threats to our campaign, if he is not taken care of promptly.'

Silently, two dragon shifters and three vampires hurried away into the depths of the city.

//And now for stage two.// the Count thought. Leaving the rest of his forces behind, he transformed himself into a peregrine falcon and soared away across the city.

(Aggron: Not to sound rude, but since I'm the one controlling the vampires in this story, shouldn't it be me who decides how fast the transformation is?
Because time passes so slowly in RPs, I think it should be quicker than two whole days. I'd have said it took twelve hours, maybe even faster for certain people.)

Jed nudged Toby and wuffed quietly, reminding him that as annoying as Keenan was, the lion shifter was helping them. There was no need to be biting tails.

Thorn hummed. "I did have a baby brother, but I have no idea where he is now. Probably still living with our parents." She rolled over lazily in the air, tail swishing. "Maybe I'll visit them one day."

'Family?' Crowley looked even more disgusted. 'I don't wanna talk about families. They're stupid. Or at least mine were.'

"Is there anything you /do/ like? Ah, yes, the fighting and the stealing. I almost forgot."
He looks up at the hospital before them.
"Well, let's go steal some med supplies."

Toby whines slightly, knowing that Jed was probably right. Ango turns to look at them, smiling softly.
"It's okay Tobes. We'll be there soon."

{Dianne continued on her way, still arguing with the voice.}
"I was just atoning for my own mistakes! I-I'm not a hero! I'm not //you//!"
Magnus:"Dianne, do you remember why you helped me so long ago? Why I agreed to submit to you?"
Dianne:"Ugh, you're going to hold //that// over my head now......
Magnus:"Remember what woke you from your murderous rage, Dianne, on that lasted ten centuries. If you do nothing, you're no better than--"
Dianne:"Enough! Do //not// speak his name to me!"
{Focusing her will, Dianne then forces Magnus to remain silent.}

'Hey, it's not like fighting and stealing are the ONLY things I do,' Crowley protested. 'They're just the best parts.' He shot the hospital a look of loathing. 'Yeah, yeah, let's get that over with.'

Somewhere in the city, far away from the worst part of the fighting and chaos, Count Sargon flew through the open window of a large building and shifted back into his humanoid form. The room was empty and devoid of life, save for a strange device that resembled a small radio transmitter in the centre, pointing up through a hole in the ceiling.

He didn't smile, but his expression became subtly pleased as he examined the object. //In perfect condition, just as I hoped to find it.//

Mortikai says as he shifts back into his human form, his coat curiously back from where he had left it in the park. He walks up to the entrance and shoulders into the broken doors, a slight showering of glass falling over him as they push open.

'I could fight random people even if you cut both my wings off,' Crowley replied, eyeing the mess inside the hospital with relish. 'Huh, looks like there was already a biiiiig fight here. Maybe all the patients and staff are dead?'

Thorn, like Morty, shifted into her human form before stepping inside. "Ooh, I wonder if there are bodies - I mean, oh no, that is very bad." She said dramatically, brushing her black and dyed green hair out of her face.

Crowley caught onto Thorn's tone of voice. He quickly plastered a fake-looking expression of horror on his face and howled, 'Oh god, everyone's gonna be dead! Think of the chiiiildreeeen!'

(Heads up, I'll probably have to go in 30-40 minutes!
It seems like things are kinda slow today, probably because I posted this so late. XD)

"Think of the mummies and their little dead bab- Okay, no, that is sad." Thorn frowned slightly. "Well, THINK OF THE LITTLE OLD LADIES!"

"Think of how many people could still be alive in here!...Not many, probably mice or something."
He shrugs, kicking a slab of plaster out of the way.

'Ooh, if we find people who are still alive, can I kill them?' said Crowley, looking at Mortikai with a childishly hopeful expression.

He studies Crowley's hopeful face for a moment, holding back a laugh.
"Sure, whatever you want."

Crowley grinned happily and followed his friend, content to go wherever Morty led them as long as he got to murder helpless hospital patients at some point along the way. 'Cheers, so where are we going again?'

@Rad/Draco

"Ah...I have no idea."
He reads some overhead signs, frowning slightly.
"The last time I was in a hospital was..."
He squints slightly as he tries to remember.
"...Fifteen, sixteen years ago?"
Shrugging, he walks ahead.
"Surely it won't be that hard finding our way around."

(I got called into action by mom, don't know how much longer it'll be.)

'Yep,' said Crowley, not really paying attention; he'd just spotted a body lying in one of the hospital corridors and was gazing at it with interest.
(Aggron: Alright. We're finishing up soon anyhow.)

Thorn also looked at the body.
It was very bodyish.
