How is Pokemon pointless?
It helps teach children math like basic addition and subtraction through battling. Examples: Using a Potion on a Pokemon is an example of addition because the hurt Pokemon regains Hit Points. Subtraction is shown when a Pokemon is hit with a Physical or Special attack [or even a status move such as future sight or curse]. Poisoning,burning, or confusing a Pokemon can also be an example of subtraction.
Pokemon games can also help teach a child to read because a basic reading ability is needed to play the game effectively and the words go along with the game's events (Ex.: "Pidgey used Wing Attack!" and your Pidgey actually smacks it foe with wings.)
Pokemon games are also quite fun to play, especially for people who are NOT Poke-Haters.
Finally, I'm not saying anyone here is necessarily a Pokemon Hater; I'm just backing up the point that Pokemon is NOT Pointless.
As for Drama Queen's "Pokemon are Poin[t]less!" picture I like the colors and simplicity, but I find the message a bit silly. (No offense meant by that.)

Pokemon is a game which involves lots of reading. Therefore, to get the full enjoyment you must be able to read. So, as pokemon is most popular with kids, it's teaching kids to read. Maybe if you liked pokemon, you could spell pointless correctly! There are also strategies which you'll need to develop, so you're using more of you'r brain than if you were playing COD.And thirdly, every copy of pokemon which gets bought helps gaming shops, employs, Japan and America, and as pokemon is so popular, Nintendo might not still be here without it, and so you wouldn't have colors!3d to paint that on. My grammar:Great. My logic: Perfect.

What's really pointless is wasting your time hating on things, instead you could just enjoy the things you do like :3 I don't like call of duty but I don't bother complaining or anything. Just like what you want and let others do the same :)

actually I can spell pointless I just forgot to put in the "T" ok and I didn't come to colours for a grammer lesson just to let you know i'm top at English in my school anyway I tend not to play games that have some education meaning 'cos sitting staring at a screen isn't really education but I get what you're saying and pokemon isn't pointless but it is very, very, very annoying and I wish it didn't exsist but what can I do.

I'm begining to wish I hadn't posted this and no I don't spend my time plotting how to get rid of pokemon it's just since I've come to colours it seems to be dominated by pokemon & I get fed up looking at some little yellow thing when trying to look at some like really awesome painting maybe I'm being a bit of a drama queen but why come on and post on this if your doin' it just 'cos im being a bit annoying 'cos im fed up and your like "Hey! How dare that person say anything about the world wide hit pokemon!" ok all I'm trying to say is if you think I'm just a bit of an idiot you can think that it's fine by me but don't take it out on the fact that I forgot the "T" and ok pokemon is giving people jobs and thats all good but really does trying to disguise staring at a screen as education do anybody any good? I wasn't raving, I was trying to get stars. Frankly, I lied at the end, & my logic had a gaping hole in it, in the fact that you merely FORGOT to put the T in. For this I am sorry, and therefore I have lost this arguement.
