just so you know, bud: you can get the new flipnote studio software from 'my nintendo' rewards, just sign in and redeem it easy. I just used the miitomo phone app with my sister for a while...but it worked.
The new software also allows you to look up works from Hatena before it closed and we flocked here to Colors!*d.
If you ever want to look up all the old flips I made to remember old times, you can search my old flips by using my old flipnote id:

Re: Its on a website by nintendo, no fake scams or gimmie stuff. Official Nintendo site.
Just go to my.nintendo.com/reward_categories or search for 'my nintendo rewards' on a phone or computer. You log in with your nintendo id/password you use on your 3ds and redeem the flipnote app through the site.
Its really not a lot of trouble to get it, they give you free credits to log in. Then you just copy the download code into the eshop.
Took me maybe 10 minutes...
