(Would a General of Erul (Xandra) be allowed to attend a Citrine party after the events of chapter 3? Especially since from what Serah says, they may try to kill us. If it is allowed, I'm cool with that because of the possible quirky dialogue incidents when Xandra and Lumen meet again. Buuuuut I'm not sure if timeline-wise that would work. Due to rising tensions between the two continents.)

Lumen finished straightening a corner of tablecloth. He was making sure that everything was perfect for the new and former guests. He gazed at the people just arriving and smiled.

Manechi walked by the gates of the ball area and stood still. Her heart was pounding she wandered if she looked alright since she jormal wears her hair down. "Where is kazuki.."

Serah accompanied by an escort walked to the ball. "Its nice to go out and mingle dont you agree?" Her escort agreed and sat her conviently at a table before taking his leave.

Kazuki was uncertainly sitting on high rock staring at the ball. His brows furrowed as he contemplated on going in or not. He wasnt much of a people person. But then he thought about Macechi and how he said he'd go with her. With a sigh he made his way to the ball grounds.

Lumen turned his head from folding napkins at the sound of someone addressing him. He saw a cat hybrid dressed in formal clothing. In greeting he bowed, a smile on his face.

"Greetings milady. Glad you could attend."

Lumen nodded at the mention of the setup.

"It is quite ravishing. The lanterns....The Blue Moon. It makes it all the more enchanting....Ah, my name. I am Lumen Candeo. Butler and Retainer of Lord Akara."

Lumen smiled warmly and chuckled. She was right. He was a Nobleman. he grabbed a glass of wine and sniffed it, enjoying the smell of the finely aged wine.

"Well milady, I am actually both. I had elected to devote myself to the enjoyment of others by serving them to the best of my efforts."

"It can be but take your time. Connections will grow." she said reasuringly.

"That's good to here. Keep your fire going." she said using an old Vepurian saying.

Lumen nodded in Acknowledgement toward Tnela.
He understood that often it was best not to talk on an empty stomache.

"Ah very good. Take your time milady. we have an entire night."

His ears perked up and he looked to the ground "Thanks.." he doesnt like to be complimented, never really knowing what to say afterwards. His green eyes darted around the ballroom letting the decor sink in.

"It's the last night to view this moon."

He stood, and stared at the beautiful blue colored moon.

Manechi sighed and skipped right in front of him and stopping, "would you like to go inside? I'm sure there is less people inside." She gave a small reassuring smile as she held out her hand.

Lumen sipped his wine slowly. Savoring the delicate and subtle undertones of the wine served from the Citrine royal cellar. It was such a fine wine, it seemed like it could be compared to no other wine it was so good. He frowned for a split second as he saw the way Cat guzzled the wine. Taught by his kin early on in the art of wine testing. He was told never to drink wine or any drink for that matter in one gulp. But quickly covered his frown with the original smile he had prior. He understood that most people were not taught these things. And that his family was actually a bit overbearingly strict when it came to etiquette.

"You are not alone. Most people are caught off guard when the hear this. They often say that I am to polite to be a noble. But I have known and still know, many affable nobleman."

"First day was, shall we say enteresting to say the least. Lots of people getting in to drunken stupers." she said clearly amused.

(Lumen/Tnela) Cat notices Lumen's frown. "Sorry about the wine, but I really didn't expect that. I normally have better manners than this." She grabs another glass and takes a sip. "Hmmm. Tastes like red grapes and a dash of pomegranate juice. Nice wine."

Kazuki took a hold of her hand and shook his head "Out side is better, lets just.. go some where not as crowded?" He looked around a bit and took her to the side of the ball area that had fewer people he let out a sigh of relief.

"Sounds to me the first two days were a blast of fun." She laughs "Ah I wish I could of been there but my escort, who isnt here anymore, advised me against it." She sighs a bit "But no matter Im here now and Im going to have fun" she has a determined face

Vaigh enters the courtyard with all the sophisticated grandeur of the previous night. His eyes scanned the crowd once more in the hopes of meeting Fae once again. He got a glass of wine and leaned against the tree in his secluded corner. He sipped it slowly as he watched the others interacting with one another. He smiled gently as he saw everyone having a good time and socializing.

Tnela finishes her plate of food and gets up to throw away. She then comes back to the table, wipes her face and takes her glass of wine, walking over to lumen and cat.

Lumen bowed to Tnela as she arrived. After he bowed, he sipped his wine, emptying the contents a little bit more.

"Ah, welcome back Tnela. I hope you like the wine. It is very high quality."

She blushed when she noticed she was being guided to somewhere instead of the other way around. "I guess this works too. I mean less people is good. And what's so bad about the indoors?"

Claudiesa knew, with Serah being blind and a prophet of the goddess, she would be looked after closely. She deserved to live a little.

(Lumen/Tnela) Cat smirks, taking another sip of wine. "When dancing gets slow, I had to pick up a hobby. Someone tried to swindle one of my previous employers with cheap drink, telling him it was expensive wine, when really it was sour wine mixed with a lot of raspberry juice."

Lumen sipped the last of his wine glass, setting it down on the table gently. He picked up a small wine glass of water from the spot next to the wine. He started sipping that to help balance the wine's alcoholic effects.

"Ah I see. I am glad you like it. But, if you are not inclined on drinking any alcohol. There is a nice row of sweetened Peach and Lemon fizzy drinks. Straight from Afai."

"Too stuffy" he said with a smile. Being away from the lights of the ball the natural blue hue of the moon shined brightly. "Also the outside is prettier than stone columns."

Hilde closes her eyes and takes one of the drinks, drinking it and turning the cup over so she can't see the remnants of the drink. She coughs once "well... i guess since that one made me cough, Whiskey, Vodka, and Bloody Mary."

It was the very last day of the ball, and fae (After convincing her sis she wouldn't cause any trouble) had come looking to socialize, and perhaps even dance. "This is really the last day of having such a beautiful blue moon, aww, i could stare at the like this every night if i could."

Blanc still not really sure what to do had taken to climbing up a tree and resting on a large branch, probably not the best thing to do in her new dress, but it was better than nothing.

Kazuki nodded and went to get their drinks. He came back a few moments later with two glasses with that was filled with a colorful drink. "Im not sure what it is but it smelled the nicest." He hands her a glass.

She gladly took the cup and sniffed it and the nice fragrance filled her nose and caused to hum softly, " it really does smell nice." She then took a sip, "oh my! It taste wonderful!"

She turned to Serah.
"Would you like to join in the test tasting?" she said, refering to the bottle Serrice had.

Serah laughed again "who is your first pet if Xenon is your other pet?" She thought this a bit humorous to hear.

Lumen sipped his wine gingerly. He could not get enough of the wine being served. As much as he loved it though, he had to limit himself since it was easy for him to lose track of how many he had drank without buffering it with water to even out its inebriating effects.

"If it is not convenient Tnela, I can go speak with someone else and let you have some solitude. I often overload conversation with to many details that it sometimes bores those I am chatting with. But alas, I can not change myself. A habit as sturdy as Mythril it seems."

"As will I. It's certainly a rare privelege to be able to witness a sight such as this." His expression was a thoughtful yet calm one as he continued to gaze at the moon. Halbert: Forinon is my blade. Or simply The Forge Fire. I may have found this enchantment at some dungeon in Erul once. My theory is. This had to have been an old long dead elvish language. But whatever the case. It can cut anything. And just the other day. A few men approached me after I left the ball to help my one friend relieve a village and connect its cave to this place. Mostly caravan work. But. On the way there. A few foolish bandits decided to attack me...That didn't go well for them. I'll just say that they never made it to a jail. There's that and then they hassled anyone who left this place for their money. But I gave 'em a lesson on messing with older people. Then I proceeded to the Balfurnis cave. Have you had any such unexpected encounters?

"Indeed. I sometimes wonder what it would be like to look older....I believe it would be thrilling. I can not even tell if I have gray hairs growing out of me."

Lumen gestured to his long straight white hair.

"Indeed. Lioren Candeo is my father, and Escalina Candeo are my parents.....I am surprised and flattered that you know of my lineage. It is not often people notice the nobility I come from...."

Especially if the request is urgent and secret. Like a few days ago. I can freely speak of this now. But the enemies were quite the handful. I was helping a caravan group successfully get to point B. When a Lyncanthropic creature attacked. Now I know why the king had asked me to help with that. But this was no normal lycanthrope. It was a infact a bear. Not a Lycan. That massive beast put me at odds. But I slew his throat. And that was the end of that. But soon I must meet up with my colleague. We plan on attacking an entire armies worth of bandits by tomorrow. This will be tough. And since the king's men are there. They will reduce the stress. But we could still mow 'em down. I despise lycanthropic creatures. And the other kinds of them. But I know a few who are lycanthrope like or have some similar abilities.

He stroked his beard thoughtfully as he listened. "Quite so. There is much truth to your statement. It reminds me of a time from three years ago when I was training in the Appalaycia Mountains. I once encountered a beast of the very same kind. This bear was massive and monsterous in both height and girth. I had unknowingly wandered into it's territory and needless to say he wasn't very pleased to see me. The eleven foot six beheemoth towered above me. For a moment both of us were silent as we sized each other up, locked in a battle of wills, until he made the first move as he lunged for me. The two us grappled hand to paw for what seemed like an eternity then but looking back was probably no more than fifteen minutes. In the end I bested the beast but it managed to leave a small scar upon my rib cage."
