Sterling watched the gray and purple wolf slowly fade from the sky, almost sad to see it go. Yawning, the pup looked back at Adain, who was fast asleep. Sterling looked at her closely, watching the creamy white fur shift in the wind and as she breathed. The red-blazed feathers ruffled in the coming storm, and Sterling's gaze turned to the rock bridge before her.

It was evening in the town of Raines, the mid-autumn sun casting red-gold rays in the old brick, stone, and wood buildings and homes. Citizens were either preparing for night by finding their precious matches for the oil lamps or setting rough blankets on the roofs to see the stars and fall asleep while the early snow tried to swirl around them. A cool breeze drifted past every small gravel street, though to the townsfolk it seemed more like a wisp of summer still trying to hold on before the mountains' unforgiving winter shut the doors to all natural warmth and sunlight. There were no howls heard yet, though the clouds would thicken soon, as they were only small bits of fluff in the sky, preparing for night just as the townsfolk were.
A jackelope was calmly strolling the alleyways, dark hood down and cloak floating carelessly behind her back. A small belt was on her waist, with three pouches- a knife, a blowpipe, and a bag of darts. The bag had a seperate pocket in it, where a few coins jingled. The animal was walking on her hind legs, a rare sight with the animals of the realm, but normal for her. Her ears were standing erect, though she did not listen to her surroundings. Dull brown eyes were focused on a somewhat large building infront of her.

A tall and skinny canine wandered along the darkening paths as the night fell. A long, and light coloured coat was wrapped around his body, keeping him warm as the cold wind tried to fly through his thin skin. The canine, tired, looked around, nose twitching as he sniffed around, sniffing for a place to stay the night.

The jackelope noticed the canine walking slowly down the road. //What's a stranger doing here?// She thought, tilting her head slightly. Curious, the animal quietly began to walk behind him, ears forward and whiskers twitching. The sun was almost gone on the horizon, rays being trapped in the leaves of the forest around the town. //Whatever he's doing, he better be done soon. I gotta get to the library, and no stranger is helping.//

(Oh heck, I just remembered I have two more townsfolk now.)

Eyes narrowed, she kept following. The sun was just barely shedding its light on the land now, and for a second she had to stop. //Where there howls this morning?// She shook her head and kept walking, not bothering to lower on all fours. //No, if there had been howls then no one would be out still.// A small dog wearing shades skidded out of one of the alleys, laughing. Shocked, the jackelope pressed against the wall. The little canine seemed surprised by the larger canine infront of it.

Her voice drifted as she finished speaking. Ears back, she took another step back and ran off, disappearing into another alleyway, fluffy tail being covered up by the growing shadows. The jackalope relaxed from her spot, though her ears were still forward, listening for the tiny pawsteps to stop.

Even on her hind legs, she could barely meet the canine at eye level. "Watcha need? You lost?" Her voice was rough and full of a bored, sarcastic tone. Already impatient, she crossed her arms.

(Well, by Raines, there's kinda mountains almost circling around it, and then forest the rest of the way. It's usually pretty cold, and the days are usually cloudy and nights usually clear.
Right now it's nighttime, and the stars have yet to shine so it's pretty dark)

The jackalope scoffed under her breath. "I'm not leavin' some stranger to the road." She leaned forward slightly, a smirk on her face. "You never know what killers are out there," she whispered, and took a step back, grabbing her hood. "I gotta get outta here soon, so you better follow quick, big dog." With that remark, the assassin gathered her small bit of magic to hide her horns as she slipped the hood on, swiftly turning around and running off in the direction of the inn.

The figure turned, gazing back at the canine. "Name's Mae. Get your butt over here, and don't call me "dear" again," she spoke quickly, and turned back, zigzagging through the street to the inn.

Hearing his footsteps behind her, Mae went slightly faster, tempted to drop to all fours and run. But, since the inn was fairly close, she kept herself ln her back legs, skidding to a stop at the doorway. Motioning for Surge to halt, she opened the large wooden door of the inn and glanced inside. The innkeeper was curled next to a fire in the big opening room, eyes closed but ears alert. //Must've been a weird day for her,// Mae thought, slipping a few coins from her pouch and trying to hand them to Surge.

Mae nodded and started to walk out of the doorway, securing the hood on her head. Right before she took off, the jackalope knocked on the door, making the innkeeper jolt fully awake. (Get ready for the,,,, innkeeeepperrrrr) Immediately the dark gray wolf was standing up, black-striped tail wagging happily. A pair of bright green eyes glowed in the firelight as she looked at the newcomer.
"Howdy there!! Need a place to stay the night? We got plenty of rooms tonight!" Her barks were loud and full of emotion, tone almost as if she were singing. A small necklace hung from her neck, covered in blue and green beads as well as a few blue jay feathers. Before Surge could respond, she had already bounded over to her little desk, and sat down quickly, black ears forward.

If it was even possible, the wolf's eyes brightened more and her tail wagged a bit faster. She quickly stood up, sending shadows dancing across the wooden walls from the firelight. "Alrighty! Follow me, sir!" The keeper barked happily and trotted down the hallway, tail high as she made her way to one of the open doors. A bed suit for nearly every species sat in the room along with a small shelf that had an oil lamp resting on top. She turned to Surge and smiled. "Here's your room! Enjoy your stay, sir!" The gray wolf sat down next to the doorway, tail still wagging like a puppy.

Meanwhile, Mae had snuck away into the library, making sure no one was following. The librarian had been waiting- a brown cat with white and ginger markings, vine-like brown stripes on her back. "Hey, Mape," Mae said softly.
"Greetings, B. Killed anyone today?" The cat replied with a smirk, orange-amber eyes glowing in the soft light of a candle resting on her desk. The jackalope laughed.
"Nope, but I ran into a new big dog. He was lookin for a place to stay," she said, leaning back in a chair.
"Oh? And what's the name of this new fellow?" The librarian tilted her head.
"Name's Surge, I believe. But anyways, Mape, I need somethin from you," the assassin stood back up, hopped onto a table, and peered closely at the bookshelves.
"It's Maple, B. We've been over this." The cat sighed and stood up as well. "What do you need?"
Mae kept looking at the books, but replied quickly. "I need a book on other realms," she said almost calmly.
"Other realms? What could you possibly be thinking about?" Maple walked quickly over to the assassin, eyes narrow.
Mae turned quickly and looked into the cat's eyes. "Ol' Ster needs to get her self back here." Her eyes seemed to cloud slightly. "She promised she'd be back before the next new moon, and here we are, without her in sight!"
"But do you really think she could be somewhere else?" The cat asked, flicking her tail.

(It's nighttime, and the inn is basically one main room and then a hallway with others in it. The buildings are just wood/stone/or brick)

Raven sat in the dark room, watching the purple wolf rest. Its blank lavender eyes were nearly closed, the glow of its soul barely shiningin the cracked lantern. Teal eyes clouding, she reached out a hand to the wolf, trying to provide any comfort, if it was ever possible in the dangerous place they lived in. Uncomfortable in the silence, the girl spoke without really thinking. "I will heal you, and I will find a way to set you free. Even if I can never return, as long as you live in peace, that will be enough for me. Goodnight, Hwi. Rest easy, alright?" She bent down and looked closely into its half closed eyes and smiled just the slightest bit, rubbing its long ears and slowly standing back up, preventing the long cloak from hitting the wolf's face as she walked out of the room, wondering how it could survive.)

It was nearly a month since the Zeraxi had left the lonesome realm of Vriodura. Most townsfolk of Raines had learned to block the empty feeling of a rouge gone missing, but some remembered, and remembered well. The assassin Mae spent every sleepless night in the library, assigned to kill or not. As hard as she searched, not one dusty old book said anything on different realms, or even hinted to it. With the last known book that could've had it in her hands, the jackalope sighed and threw the book down, tugged her hood on, and ran out the door.
The mountains were growing harsher, Vriodura's winter advancing on the land. But it wasn't the terrible winds and snow that was killing her, drying the fountain she needed, it was the absence of her pup. Her Sterling. The great winged wolf had been able to survive knowing that the Zeraxi wasn't too far away from her or in any real danger, but what Adain knew now was that she was gone. The wolf didn't know how she understood, but she knew that her pup was gone. Really, really, gone. Without Sterling, the water could no longer flow. It slowed to a sickening drip, threatening to stop at any moment. Legs shaking, Adain stood, stretched her wings, and for the first time since Sterling had first left her, howled. -->

The creamy white wolf's red-blazed feathers were the only thing that made her visible, but with all the snow around her she looked like a ghost otherwise. A desperate ghost with wings that could never let her fly away. Her howl was scratchy at first, but turned into a haunting, echoing melody that stretched as far as it could.
"These lands that were never mine,
Took rid of what was,
What had been and what never can be again.
I've been chained and my love has been set free,
But never to return to me.
The snow will take me down like it almost did my love,
But there will be no caretaker to bring me away from the edge.
I've been drowning in sorrow while my love drowns in death,
And now I shall join my love,

Panting and sobbing, Adain fell to the ground, muzzle and paws hanging over the edge of the cliff. -->

The wolf from Raven's dreams stood at the top of his mountain peak, ears forward. He had heard the cries of Adain, and howled back, response sounding more like the cries of a mourning dove.
"Has she left, oh truly a shame,
For I have seen her, yes I've witnessed her once,
She's lost, a crow has died, leaving just the shell of a pretty bird,
Water has taken her, but there can be something to dry her soul."
The wolf huffed and spread his long feathers as if he were about to fly down the mountain. The sounds of his silvery claws hitting the cold stone echoed in the hidden caves and passageways of the mountain, and came to a stop at a small opening. Dark blue eyes focused on the broken wall, he started swiping at the loosening stones, sending them scattering down the mountain. An old blanket and a large book lay on the ground, and the wolf gently picked up the book and made the rest of his way down the mountain. The townsfolk had taken his howls as warning signs and were already in their buildings, all blinds closed. He made his way to one of the larger buildings, and thumped his head on the wooden door as a way of saying, "Let me in." Nervous, the assassin slowly opened the door, then wider when she saw who it was and what he was carrying. Once the door was closed, the large wolf sat down, extending his head so that the book was already in Mae's hands. She looked carefully at the bruised cover, brown eyes widening. -->

"The Fantasy Of Other Realms And Their Realities," the title read. Mae looked up at the wolf.
"How did- how did you-you get this?" She breathed, the whites of her eyes showing. With an excited sigh the jackalope flipped through the pages, scanning every word. The wolf stayed silent for a while, gathering the courage to speak in the common language. Being alone, he rarely spoke.
"Find a page on black portals, if there are any," he growled slowly, voice rough but still calm. Mae nodded and flipped faster, being careful not to damage the yellowed pages. Her paws were shaking as she came to a stop. "Sylyore," was in large, fainted letters at the top of the page, a faded map of the realm in the center, surrounded by words. On the next page was an illustration of a portal, exactly as the wolf had seen. //I don't know how I saw the portal, but I saw her leave,// he thought, standing up and looking over Mae's shoulder. She kept reading, but sighed and set the book on the table next to her, looking back at the wolf.
"It's no use, there's no way to find her. And if she's dead...? There's no way to bring her back." The wolf just cocked his head, and the assassin stared at him a while, before looking away. "I heard the howls, Aryan. I heard them, and now I know my searching has been for nothing. It's useless," she spat, crossing her arms.
"But is it?" The wolf retorted, walking closer to her. -->

"What do you mean, wolf?" Mae asked quietly, slowly turning to him. He took another step forward and tossed his head in the direction of the mountain.
"I have wolves made of stars," he said slowly, wagging his long, feathery tail the slightest bit.
"What?" The jackalope pressed, confused.
"I can get one to leap to another sky, one to be a dragon. I can bring her back, I really can." The wolf looked back at her. Why was he even here again? //To waste time, apparently.//
Mae just looked at him, but eventually nodded. "May it not storm tonight, Aryan."
The wolf nodded, and leapt out the door the second Mae opened it. -->

The wolf made his way up the mountain, thankful to see the skies clearing. Hopefully it would be enough. It had to be enough. The sun was starting to blaze the sky with oranges and reds, escaping into the trees and being drenched by the far ocean shores. Seeing he still had time, the large blue jay-like wolf made his way across the thin rock bridge, gently pulling the creamy white winged wolf back under her ledge, taking her own feathery tail and laying it next to her to keep the frail wolf warm. She was still breathing, but dared not open her eyes. With a quiet sigh the wolf returned to his own peak, where he sat, spread his wings, and waited. The black-striped feathers ruffled in the coming wind as the sun left the horizon, the stars already finding their way out from the blanket of clouds. He barked at the stars, one crisp but gentle bark. It echoed in the skies and called out a name- "Stardust," the faint galaxies said. "Stardust, Stardust, Stardust..." Despite being what many called the smaller peak, the one the wolf resided upon was wider and taller than Adain's peak, making the very top the only place to try and speak to the star wolves as they made their journey high above. Panting, the wolf raised up on his hind legs as a small gray mist appeared, purple markings forming and a blue galaxy shining as it made its way to the blue jay wolf. The smaller wolf barked again, calling to Stardust, wanting him to find Sterling. The star wolf's eyes brightened at the sound of her name and nodded. To anyone else that could have possibly seen it, they would barely see a small constellation of the wolf as it formed white wings of galaxies and ran away from the lonesome realm of Vriodura.

It was dark when he finally woke back up. Was it always this dark? Why was the world so empty of light? Where was she? Had they taken her away? Pain shot through his body as he tried to move; cold and heavy chains pressed against his chest and restrained his leg. More restraints? Hadn't the foot been enough? Searing pain flared in his spine as he tried to raise his head, unable to breathe through the straps clamping his mouth shut. What the heck? //You break my wings, blind my eye, chain my foot, my neck, and suffocate me?// He tried to shake his head as if he could get rid of everything, but the motion made him dizzy and his head fell to the ground with a loud but dull thud. He stared through the cold bars of his cell, looking at the gray, dirty, bloodstained walls of the desolate hole he "lived" in. What had he done wrong? Had he not lived his life being raised kindly, and now his caretaker turned on him? He tried looking at the rest of him: a matted and torn line of fluff running down his tail, blood inbetween his dry and cut scales, tears in his wings... His eye was bloodshot and dull, ashes of the orange fire they once were. Dull, dry-blood colored scales instead of the russet red. Dusty, dirty wings instead of the light reddish brown. How could it all happen so fast? Was she still alive? Why was this place so dark? His thoughts repeated over and over, pressing questions that would have made him cry if he weren't so malnourished and confused, alone, desperate. (Might write more idk)

(Seriously tho. You guys will LOVE this satuday's session. It will be a long novel of Gira coming back then we can rp for real x3)

One of the shadows walked by and came to a stop next to his cell. His eyes had been open but he closed them immediately. But it wasn't one of the dark shadows. It wasn't the darkest of the shadows either. It was the light shadow. Its blank eyes stared at him, concerned even though they never blinked, never moved. The armless shadow crumpled into a sitting position, wings spread. The light shadow's face pressed against the cold metal and the star pendant on its necklace clinked with the bars. He just barely opened the mostly blind eye, looking as closely as he could at the shadow. Its wings' glow brightened just the smallest bit, and he opened both of his eyes. What was the light shadow doing here? Dark footsteps sounded before the light shadow could do anything else, wings fading and face disappearing as the darkness approached.

A tall, almost purple brown canine entered the building, golden eyes shining in the dim light. A dark red fox scattered with gray markings and confusing red eyes sauntered up to the newcomer.
"Well well well, what do we find here! Old Aisford, you wimp! Thought you'd never come back."
The canine growled. "I just need to return something," he replied, eyes narrowed. The fox laughed harshly and barked to his companions.
"Look at this little idiot! Brought yer crown again, I see? What? Make you feel like a pretty princess, boy?" The fox kept laughing, swiping a crooked tail across the broken wooden floor.
Aisford growled louder and deeper, who was this guy throwing him around? He couldn't help that this sketchy black crown followed him. He took a step forward, long tufted ears back and long tail standing straight behind him. "Leave me be, or I'll add another scar to your ugly face, psycho." The fox only laughed harder.
"Psycho? Hah! I think I much prefer that to Killer! And what shall I call you, pretty little boy?" Bloody claws digged into the floor and his jagged fur seemed to soak in the light, making everything dark.
Aisford turned away, walking forward to a table on the other end of the room. He paused, then gently picked up a pair of dark purple shades in his mouth, proceeding to head back to the door.
"Hey!" The fox howled. "You can't take that, lil guy, we fought for that!" The tall canine whipped around and looked the redeyed fox in the eyes, golden light growing like a fire someone had put a stick soaked in sodium in. His small black crown seemed to emanate a dark aurora, and he leapt put of the bulding.

3: Yes or if somewhere else then anywhere you want. being legendary, the skies could be her home xD

4: Spitting gold, causing huge damage with their tails, even hers because they are really strong, spikeball or not they could cause avalanches. Their rage form varies between the indevidual sunfury and even gender but I will put the rage form of ever sunfury adopted after making them.

I probably, in fact I won't really, at all, be able to start on vacation, because my phone is really bad for refs since it's so small and I only prefer using photo refs if they're traced from my notebook because people get suspicious :/
