There's a roleplaying game that I've been told of--Vampire Masquerade(?)--where the unnamed curse of the Bible's Cain is becoming a vampire. Personally, I really like that idea.
The actual game would normally take place around modern day, but this painting will probably look a little more gothic than modern.
