"9/10 The best Fire Emblem game since Sacred Stones." - DiamondAppendix

Idk, I played a few hours and I'm already in love <3 qwq The amount of dialogue compared to previous games is book-a-holic, and it's all voiced, which is very impressive! Also, the dialogue windows themselves are sweet because they're basically a visual novel (BIG PLUS OKAY).
The battle animations are very smooth, I love how chars take out their weapons right while rushing at the enemy, instead of standing in place like in previous games. The battle system itself took a turn to the classics by disabling the weapon triangle, which was one of the series's symbols but didn't really do anything in Awakening and was for some reason doubled in Fates. So now, instead of just remembering the rock-paper-scissors system, you should pay attention to each unit's personal strengths and weaknesses, which kinda makes it more personal, doesn't it? Also, despite the absence of shipping and children from the future (support convos still there tho), this game has great potential for replayability because you pick the first chars' classes yourself and there are also two tiers of promoted classes (I'm not sure if the promotes go like before, by choosing between two advanced classes or not... but they probably do). Not everything is perfect though, in my opinion the animated cutscenes look kinda cheesy and the levelup sound is meh. This is kinda it for the review, I guess?
