Re: Heyyo! Sorry for disappearing on ya like that, been super busy w graduating and stuff. But anyways, onto the critique! I honestly really like this piece! It's always a blast to see your impressionistic ideas! Specifically, I like the concept itself, and i like how the serious expression on her face complements the overall style. Gives it a nice atmosphere. I also like how you brought focus to the eyes by contrasting it w/ the red in her lips and in the background as well. I also feel like the values are at a good spot, with the focal point standing out quite nicely from the background. The only technical thing I would suggest is putting a cast shadow over the two lower hands. You could put one in pretty quickly by picking the darkest color/value from the background and swiping it over that area w/ the brush at 20% ish opacity. If the darker hand values start to blend w the neck, either make the hands slightly darker or darken the neck. Honestly, I don't even think you NEED to make the two hands shaded that. It would also be interesting if you shaded only the top and bottom of each hand, so it would mimic a real Mohawk. But as is, the hands just look really nice lol. I feel like w everyone else's critiques, I told em to fix their colors completely. With this piece, however, I really like the atmosphere the colors add! Definitely adds to the punky vibe. The analogous color scheme adds a bit of solidarity, too.
But yeah, good piece overall! Super stoked to see what you come up with next mate!
