Ah yes, I read about these guys. In medieval times, they would wear beak-like masks that were filled with aromatic flowers and herbs. It was common place back when the ' 'Black Death' ' was still at large.

It was thought that the masks filled with incents would help fend off the black death. Since a large majority of people thought it spread through bad air, but it was actually through the mouse flea. Also, it helped nullify that awful smell of the dead. ;-:
