Wravner is, to put it simply, an amalgamation of a handful of seemingly random interests I have, including birds, skeletons, dapper clothing, hats, the colors (or lack thereof) I used, the letters I used, animals doing cool stuff with their legs, and old-timey propaganda cartoons along with the effect propaganda has on opinion in the first place. I finalized her design only last year after purchasing a pewter crow skull necklace and realizing how awesome bird skeletons are. Not that she’s really the spitting image of an anatomically correct bird skeleton, but I can dream.

Little is known nor discussed about Wravner’s origin. In fact, her closer associates find themselves doubting that even she knows where she came from. The first time she was asked, she only said that she woke up one day with little more than a name and an ambition, and that the hat came later. The second asker got his head smashed in by the “curiosity brick” used when so-called imbeciles asked the same question too many times.
However, it is known that Wravner either stumbled or strutted into the town she inhabits today, using her power to halt all rebuilding efforts until finally killing the designated new mayor, who was a pig that looked kind of like Hugo Strange for some reason. Swiping the surprisingly clean hat from his head and donning it as her own, Wravner declared herself the new mayor of Ave, a name she came up with herself. It could be worse.
Using the hypnotic power of her eyes to control her subjects and recruit new ones, Wravner appeared to be a fantastic mayor when everyone does her bidding without question. Despite a few destructive threats thrown upon her town the last few years (not exactly a rarity with the end of the world seemingly carrying out,) Wravner soon realized that there was little fun with maintaining a town of braindead subjects. She then began efforts to expand her rule, only for them to be thwarted by another expanding empire of supposedly infinite power. Few things angered Wravner more than failure, so she started to form plans for leaving town alone to infiltrate other settlements and eventually convert them. This was cut short due to a tall, menacing, scarecrow-like creature being seen not far outside of her town. He did not speak, nor get too far to the town’s border, but every piece of cannon fodder that was sent out to investigate failed to return. Wravner quickly grew impatient with this game and confronted the scarecrow herself, only to realize that her power did not work on him… something that has never happened before. Noticeably and understandingly frightened, she fled back to the safety of her borders, barely outrunning her pursuer. Since then, Wravner and her townspeople have been unable to leave, trapped by a strangely powerful being with no known motivation other than destroying her.

Wravner has complete control over a small rural town that probably only had one or two stoplight-worthy intersections back when that still mattered. Nevertheless, she guards this territory with utmost diligence. Nobody enters or leaves without her knowing, which is a pretty easy feat considering the devotion of her subjects.
If one would look directly into Wravner’s eyes, one may notice that they look eerily similar to an old television- projecting various strange images before fading into static. This usually mirrors Wravner’s thoughts, but any free specimen that dares to catch her eye will be unable to look away as her eyes methodically and precisely burn certain images into the subject’s head. This will continue for only a few seconds before the subject’s brain is rewired to follow Wravner’s every command, in fact, the subject now desperately needs to follow these commands. Serving Wravner is now the primary purpose in the subject’s life, unless freed by her, which will never happen. There are specific categories of beings who are unaffected by this tactic, but Wravner has only run across that problem relatively recently.
Also recently, Wravner has met and created an uneasy alliance with Nightmare, for both have a common goal of destroying the larger spreading power for their own gain. Though Nightmare’s abilities also do little to sway the mysterious individual’s presence, she is currently trying different methods to get rid of him. Wravner’s voice is slightly feminine yet still intimidating, and sounds more artificially constructed than coming from an organic throat... which makes sense, I guess.
