Hey, @Kole! @Radiant Then have Crowley ditch Finny, and if there's anything left of the frost dragon by the end of the fight, he can drag himself home. XD Seriously though, that fight could go either way, and I don't think Crowley's getting the watch back regardless of who wins, so go ahead and have Crowley meet up with Morty.

What Crowley does with Finy will depend on whether or not Blood turns up today. If she doesn't, then I'll probably have him abandon his new friend. XD

@Radiant Yeah, but I hope @Blood shows up. I really want to finish the fight. @Kole A conversation you say? About what?

We're also waiting for Draco and King. I accidentally uploaded this an hour early, so I'm kinda surprised you two showed up so fast. XD

(Aggron) It's still the middle of the night now, though. He must go to sleep at some point, unless he's secretly a vampire. XD

If Blood doesn't come then you may just have to continue without her. She doesn't turn up for every session anyway, so we can't be sure when she'll be back.

@Radiant That's a good point. If he stays out too late, I'll have him sleep till the afternoon next day cycle. @Kole I say we continue without @Blood if they don't show up. @Radiant's right. We can never be sure when they'll show up next, and I don't want my character to be stuck for weeks at a time.

I'd start, but how long should we give @Blood?

(Aggron) Well, it's been an hour and a half since the RP 'started'. If everyone is OK with waiting longer then we can, but we can't wait too long. You all know I have to leave at around 11PM my time.

@Radiant Alright then, lets get it started. I'll start.

(Aggron) Go ahead.

{After the brief fight for the pocket-watch, Dianne dusts herself off, picks up her glasses, and walks up to Maisara.}"Back to my original question: Are you an idiot?"

Crowley's wings carried him quickly away from the battle scene, soaring off into the cold night sky. Logically, he knew he was lucky to be alive. To not be caught by the police or have to fight his way through a mob of armed forces. But the less rational side of his mind howled at him to go back and tear Dianne into blo.ody strips. He hissed quietly through his teeth and perched on top of a chimney, breathing heavily and squinting in the direction of the battle now far behind him.

He'd left Finy behind and didn't even care. The only thing that really annoyed him was that he'd somehow lost a fight - he couldn't remember the last time he'd lost anything.

@Anyone
Mortikai huffs slightly, checking the time on his wrist-watch.
"Hm...I suppose it isn't too late. I can wait a bit longer."

{Dianne produces the watch and holds it in front of her.}"First, calm yourself. Your anger towards me is just wasted energy."

Crowley caught his breath and took off from the roof again, flying aimlessly until his eyes fell upon the shadowy, deserted park below. //Huh, I think I remember something. Some guy called...// He squinted, trying to recall the name. //Mortis? Morte? Morti... Mortikai! That guy!//

Smiling a little, he folded his wings and dived towards the park.

"Well, uh, now the drama's over... are you sure you're okay with me being a vampire?" Jed looked at Ango with a slight eyebrow raise. "You must feel pretty weird."

Back in the vampire base, Sargon had just heard the news of the orphanage attack via telepathic message from a rather disgruntled Rufus. For the first time in decades, he had to resist the urge to facepalm. 'I believe more powerful minions may be needed...' he said to himself thoughtfully.

{Dianne is taken by surprise when Maisara grabs her and takes the watch. Once again becoming a smoke-like mass, she escapes his grasp and remateralizes, looking rather angry.}"I told you, Djinn, I had no intention of keeping your watch! If I'm so concerned about my own well being and personal gains alone, why would I save you from a lifetime of servitude under that bird?! You /believe/ that everyone around you is a greedy, self absorbed prick, so that's all you can see!"

Mortikai looks up upon the sound of wingbeats, startled to see a large black shape moving towards him.
"What the h.ell is that?"

@Draco
"...Yeah, a little..."
She mumbles, suddenly feeling bad for thinking him to be completely canine.
"But...but hey! You helped defend everyone, so...you're cool."
Tobias barks in agreement, being not too bothered by Jed's transformation.

(yes Sargon, you definitely need more powerful dudes, because a couple of them just got their a.sses kicked by a bunch of kids)

''What the heII is that?'' Crowley repeated, landing heavily in front of Mortikai and gouging the earth with his claws. 'Don't I get a nicer greeting than that? We DID agree to meet here...' He shot Morty a faintly menacing grin.

"Great!" Jed smiled. "I'll need to turn back into a dog for now, though. I mean, I'm just this random vampire guy hanging out with you. They're gonna think it's suspicious."

{Dianne stumbles backwards when Maisara's magic hits her. She was about to lunge at him when he dissappeared. Breathing heavily from fatigue and anger, Dianne looks around for him. Seeing that he seemingly left, she begins to walk home, muttering angrily.} "Tempermental, edgelord-bi.tch..."

Rufus and the other exhausted vampires returned to the safe house, where they were greeted by a thunderous Sargon. Rufus immediately attempted to stutter an apology, but the Count grabbed him by the neck and pushed him against the front door with alarming quickness.

'C-Count, we can do better in the future--'

'No,' Sargon interrupted, his tone cold. 'There will be no future. I will not risk you ruining my plan or blowing our cover again. You were worth nothing from the moment I turned you.'

In another swift movement, he snapped Rufus' neck and let him go, the vampire's body sliding down the door and falling into a heap on the ground. Sargon turned and walked back into the house to talk to the rest of the pack.

Now realising who it was, he lets out a short laugh.
"Well, if you show up looking like that I wouldn't have the faintest idea who you are."
Standing up, he stretches a little.
"Glad to see you made it here in one piece. There, is that kinder?"

She nods, then pauses.
"Wait, tell me your name first. It'll be sorta awkward calling you "Buddy" or something."
Ango laughs lightly, putting her hands into her hoodie pockets.

{Meanwhile, Jeremiah has been sitting on a rooftop, watching the streets below, waiting. //Hmmm, it's getting late. No roving bands of nonhumans yet. I'll have to call it a night soon.//}

Crowley sat down and started to roughly clean his feathers, tearing out a few that had been damaged in the fight. 'That's better, I guess,' he replied carelessly. 'And hey, I forgot you'd never seen me like this before.' He stood up and grinned smugly. 'Aren't I just awesome?'

"Oh- right. You can call me Jed. It's very short, I know." Jed shrugged, then shifted back into his husky form. "Wuff," he barked.

Sargon entered the main room of the house, where Jerald was waiting for him. He was the only member of the vampire pack who didn't look nervous. 'I trust you'll want to hear everything?' he asked.

Sargon sat down on an empty armchair. 'Yes. But first, I require somebody to go outside and dispose of that useless rat Rufus.'

One of the vampires nodded and walked out without questioning him. It was well-known that the Count never killed his minions personally.

(Alright Kole, take care.)

Armin was sitting outside the bar in his usual spot, drinking some whiskey and observing the night sky. He wasn't due back at the vampire house until tomorrow morning, for which he was grateful. Any time he wasn't close to Sargon was time well spent, after all...

@Radiant
"Hah, that's one way to put it."
He shrugs off his coat and takes off his top hat, placing both on the bench he was sat on earlier.
"Well, since you're showing your true colours, I might as well show you mine. It is why we decided to meet here, after all."

@Draco
"Alrighty then Jed..."
She crouches, stroking both dogs on the head.
"Welcome to the team!...Wait, that sounds really formal, uhm..."

Crowley tilted his head to one side in a curious manner. 'So, you're a shapeshifter too? What are you?' He paused for thought. 'Dragon? Giant wolf monster? Killer snake?'

In the hidden house, Jerald quickly explained everything that had taken place in the orphanage that night. As expected, Sargon wasn't pleased that Jerald himself had allowed it to happen, but he decided to give him a second chance. The vampire warrior was too useful to kill... yet.

Outside, the other vampire ran a wooden stake through the unconscious Rufus' heart, grimaced in slight sympathy, then tossed the weapon into the gorse bushes and went back inside. Job done.

{On her way home, Dianne passes the bar where Armin's sitting outside. Taking a moment to think, she decides to stop for a drink. Sitting down a table away from Armin, she sits down and waits for the waitress, gazing into the distance, lost in thought.}

Jed gave another bark that sounded like laughter and ran to pick up his fish friend, that luckily hadn't been damaged.

(Aggron)

Armin leaned against the wall and glanced across at where Dianne sat, vaguely wondering where he'd seen her before. Then he remembered he'd glimpsed her in this same bar the night before, talking to that investigator guy. //Maybe she's one, too,// he thought, turning back to his drink.

The waitress emerged after a couple of minutes and asked Dianne if there was anything she wanted.

In the kids' home, several adults were talking to the police about what had happened. Eventually, the officers all got into their cars and drove away. It was obvious the vampires were gone for now; everyone just had to hope that they wouldn't try coming back tonight.

{Snapping from her deep thought, she adresses the waitress.}"Yes, brandy please." {After the waitress leaves, her gaze wanders until she notices Armin in the corner. //Hey, it's the three fingered guy who killed that young girl. What's he doing here?// She watches him for a moment before turning her attention to the knife wound on her arm.}

(Aggron)

Hearing Dianne's voice, Armin glanced up again, this time noticing the fresh cut on her arm. He narrowed his eyes slightly. Whoever she was, she looked like she'd just come out of a fight. //Probably not an investigator, then,// he mused, sipping at his whiskey while keeping one eye on her.

@Radiant
Laughing lightly, he shakes his head.
"None of the above. In fact, you saw one of my forms yesterday."
A black shadowy mass encases him, quickly falling away to reveal his house cat form.
"Remember?"

@Draco
Toby runs after him, yapping with excitement. Ango smiles at the two, then stands and walks into the corridor to make sure none of the other children were hurt. One of the younger ones is crying on the stairs, obviously scared by the whole ordeal. Ango sits down beside them and wraps them in a hug.

(I'm watching a Persona 5 stream and it's getting so awkward I'm dying here h e l p)

'Oohh, yeah! I completely didn't remember that.' Crowley stepped closer to Morty-the-housecat, looking down at him and grinning. 'Though I gotta be honest here, it's not a very impressive alternate form. Got anything cooler?'

{Dianne sits quietly, waiting for her drink. She can feel Armin watching her. Looking up, she meets his gaze.}"Hey."

@Radiant
"Well..."
The mass encases him again, leaving him in his bengal form.
"I find this one to be the coolest. Purely because I'm much quicker."
He flashes a grin up at Crowley, flicking his longer tail.

(Aggron)

Armin looked back at her, then took one hand off his glass to raise it in a courteous greeting. 'Hello. Not many people are still out this late. There's nothing unpleasant going on, is there?' he asked.

Jed threw the smiley fish in the air, his tail wagging excitedly.

(King)

'...Pretty cool,' Crowley said, smirking slightly as he often did, while looking the bengal up and down. 'How MUCH quicker are you? No-one's faster than ME...'

{Dianne shakes her head.}"No, nothing but the usual rats and vermin out there. Nothing to really concern one's-self with." {The waitress comes back with Dianne's drink and leaves it on the table.}

{Meanwhile, Jeremiah decides to call it a night. Descending the building, he heads home for the night.}

(Aggron)

'I'll take your word for it,' said Armin lightly, leaning back in his chair and swallowing down the last mouthful of his drink. 'I'd be careful, though. Whatever you've been doing is none of MY business, but when you walk around in public with a wound like that... well, it looks a bit suspicious.'

@Draco
Toby jumps to grab it, but it bounces off his nose. He makes a quick dash to try to grab it again, but dives into the floor. Getting up with a snort and a shake, he looks at Jed.
Ango attempts to comfort the small child, reassuring them that everything was going to be okay.

@Radiant
"I think that the typical cat's speed is around thirty miles per hour, and a bengal's would be considerably higher..."
He moves in a way similar to a shrug.
"I forget the true top speed. Too much information in my old head."

{Dianne smiles and takes a sip of her drink.}"It's not that bad. For all anyone knows, I slipped and fell. My injuries is superficial. Your missing fingers, on the other hand, are far more conspicuous. And, while your life is no one's concern, I'm sure passerbys can't help but to speculate."

Jed ran and snatched up the fish again, this time gently passing to to Toby.

'Really? Why don't we find out?' Cackling with barely-suppressed laughter, Crowley hit Morty in the side with his tail - not very gently - and took off sprinting across the park, shouting, 'You're it!'
A flock of roosting birds exploded out of the trees, startled by the noise.

(*My injuries /are/ superficial Can't grammar fuuuuuuuu)

(Aggron)

Armin raised his hand again, this time to examine what was left of his fingers. 'But we're a little different. My injuries are obviously old and healed - at worst, people might wonder what kind of tragic life I've led to be missing half my hand. You, though... That's a fresh cut. And it's not that superficial - it looks like it was inflicted by a knife or dagger. THAT'S what people will be suspicious of.'

@Draco
He catches it, tail wagging to show his thankfulness for the lesser throw.
Managing to calm the child, Ango ushers them and others back into their rooms to sleep.

@Radiant
Mortikai stumbles sideways, thenn takes off running towards Crowley.
"You're on, birdbrain!"

Crowley threw a quick glance over his shoulder to make sure Morty was following. Seeing that he was, he began to push himself to his top speed, wings folded tightly against his sides for extra aerodynamics, plunging into some woodland and scaring more birds out of their roosts.

{Dianne chuckles and takes another drink.}"Fair enough. People would probably wonder whether I was the assailant or the victim, while most would see you as just a victim of an unfortunate event. And with the current atmosphere, a nonhuman who might be an assailant needs to be careful."

Armin gazed into the distance, inclining his head to show that he was listening. 'Not to mention, your injury looks to have almost certainly come from a violent incident - whether you were the assailant or not. Mine could have easily come from an accident. Maybe I got my fingers trapped in a door or something.' He chuckled slightly at his own joke, then beckoned the waitress over and requested another small drink.

Grimacing slightly, he puts on a burst of speed to follow the dragon into the woods, but slows once inside the treeline to make sure that he wouldn't crash into anything.

{Dianne smiles.}"Not possible. Your bones were cut far too cleanly for getting trapped in a door. And the rest of your hand is in too good of shape to have been through a woodchipper or a similar mechanical device. No, someone took those fingers from you with a very sharp blade, whether accidental or not."

(My DS just died, and it's too late to go back downstairs for my charger now, so I'll be out for the count. >~<;)

Armin smiled back at her humorously, but the smile didn't quite reach his eyes. The waitress came back with another glass of something alcoholic, and he drank half of it before responding.

'You've got sharp eyes to be able to see that much detail from two tables away,' he said casually. 'I'm almost impressed. Almost.'

(King: Aw, that sucks. :( We'll be finishing up soon anyway, so you won't miss much.)

(Draco: This is where you need another character--)

{Dianne raises her glass towards Armin.}"Well, good eyesight is inherent to my kind." {//Not to mention my experience from working with the dead. I've seen all manner of wounds.// She takes another drink.}

(Aggron)

'It must be.' Armin finished his second drink more quickly than the first, and set the glass down on a table in front of him along with some money. He didn't stand up and leave, though. 'Since as we're being so friendly and open here, mind telling me how you got that cut? I'm too curious for my own good.'

Although, I'm happy to say the only valuble thing he got away with was a lesson: Don't attack people who are stronger than you."

Armin lifted an eyebrow momentarily in surprise. //Feathery?// he thought, wondering what she was talking about. //A feathery thief... A bird shapeshifter, I guess?//

The sound of an owl hooting nearby jerked him out of his wandering thoughts. He smiled and stood up, adjusting his leather jacket. 'Sorry for the abruptness, but I should probably be off now. I'm not strictly meant to be out here right now.' He gave a short laugh. 'But at least I got an interesting conversation out of it.'
