Foreign world's inhabitants by The_Adjudicator
A mostly finished WIP that I lost interest in finishing (mostly just background, lighting issues, and 3D effects remaining).
This is the third part of my mini series that I've called #ANewFrontier, in which I'll briefly explain the ecosystem.
. red plants fill the air with a nectar mist mixed with pollen. The ground is completely covered by red moss.
. Blue plants have roots that burrow deep to extract metals and minerals that mix with a special oil to form liquid metal pools called alloy pools. The size of the pool depends on the amount of ore veins underground, with some so large, they turn entire fields into metalic swamp lands.
. All types of animal life have bone structures made from the alloy oil produced by blue plants, which they absorb by bathing in the pools. The three plates that form their faces work like satellite dishes, and are used to sense several forms of radiation including sound, light, and more. They feed by inhaling the nectar from red plants through the small holes in the dark green organs on their back and neck, then waste is deposited through sweat that is dispersed throughout the alloy pools, and in turn feeds the plants.

For anyone who's wondering where I've been the past few weeks, long story short, I think I need an extended break from digital art, and online communities. I've been feeling in real need of a change of pace. So I'm going to take up a different artisitic hobby for now. I was thinking of trying my hand at some clay modeling, and see how I like doing that. So I'll probably not be doing much of anything here for a while.
This is not a good bye, just taking my leave until I feel like coming back.

Reminds me of the descriptions on creations from the game Spore. Very interesting. I wonder what it'd use to defend itself from predators?
Enjoy your break! Clay modeling is a lot of fun I imagine. Always wanted to do it.

It's a shame I won't see you as often. I can understand the need to get off digital media though... I've been working my hands on some old fashioned sketch work. Number 2 pencils are my best buds atm.
Anyway, I'd like to see some of your clay craftsmanship. If you share it at all, of course...

Really like the story idea.
