Sorry this seems out of the blue but I really don't like it when I see my drawings up in This Week's Best... it's just that I'm too afraid for my art to get lots of recognition since it's displayed so that almost everyone can see. The reason I deleted my original account was because I couldn't handle all the popularity. I felt like I wasn't drawing for myself but instead just for other people. When I started over, I felt refreshed and enjoyed being on Colors! (cont.)

--again. Plus it's so easy to get in TWB nowadays, seriously all you have to do is get at least 2 silver stars and then in pops up there. Browsing through TWB honestly makes me feel bad which is why I don't check it out often. I mean sure there are actually GOOD pictures that deserve to be there, but there's also a lot of stuff that look like no effort was put in it or it just seems like the generic same fad or trend of whatever people are obsessed with.
I'm not ANGRY when someone likes my picture though. I'm not ungrateful, I swear. I'm actually thankful for all the feedback I get! I'm just scared at the same time to be popular again because that's what I've been trying to AVOID ever since I came back.

The moment you get popular is the moment you lose your freedom.
If you really do want to avoid getting a lot of attention, just do the very opposite of whatever everyone else is doing; I found that pictures with very simplistic art styles, like steven universe, undertale, or anything tumblr-looking, get the most attention, while more detailed/original ones don't...

I honestly enjoy not being popular! It´s nice to get only a few coments and not like...a hundred.
when I started here I only cared for attention and stars just like everyone else when you start.

StalkerBlade is so right in every ways.
Although I really enjoy & feel honnored to get attention, I often feel not free. I was litterally terrifyied to post my easter drawing because I thought I'd get banned, whereas I know I wouldn't have been too scared if I wasn't "famous". I also get flagged so easily and it's so annoying... I always feel like I'd get banned if I make a too bad joke...;v;
also yeah. It also bothers me that original stuff gets less noticed... tho I do find that original stuff are more liked here than before. I mean most of the top trends have original stuff and I'm glad. But I guess it's because colors is really empty now... as you said, it's very easy to be in TWB or in trends so yeah...
