Aleksei (Alek) was not born in Russia, nor has he been there, since both his parents immigrated to America when they were small children. Therefore, he doesn't speak much Russian, and really doesn't know anything about the rest of his family there, but he is closely tied enough to it to be considered, at the very least, Russian-American. He does, however, love hearing stories from his maternal grandmother, who lives with him and his parents, about her childhood in Russia. He doesn't wear a lot of layers because "stereotypical Russian", I just thought it looked cute and he gets cold easily like a little nerd. His jacket is one of his most prized possessions, given to him by his maternal grandfather before his death.
Personality: Since he's so tol and actually kind of angry looking, most people assume Aleksei to be a scary, rude sort of person, but he is the literal definition of a gentle giant. He is a little shy and rough at first, but he's actually a super sweet and innocent bean. He loves furry animals and doing cute crafts in his free time, and freezes in anything less than 100 degrees tbh. He enjoys using his height to his advantage, either to hold people's phones above his head and watch them struggle or get cereal from the top pantry shelf in the middle of the night. Alek loves to read as well, and personally thinks the thicker the volume, the better. Despite being a shy, sensitive boi, he loves horror movies, as long as they're not overly gory.
