The saying that everybody has a double is definitely true here when it comes to Darren and Florence.
I never really used Darren since he was an idea currently as a WIP, but now I've figured out the basics. (BTW he is an AI program up above- that's why I made it lineless.)
Darren is Florence's double from the alternate dimension Ren went to when fleeing from his destroyed home.
However, he shares none of the same blood as Ren.

The only things Darren shares with Ren's father is that his middle name is Florence (which is also Ren's middle name), their physical appearances are extremely similar, and that their personalities match pretty well. One of the things he shares with Ren but not Florence is that he's a researcher as well.
Darren's actual age is around 24-25, but due to the bad heart condition he had, he passed away shortly about a year after meeting Ren.
Since he knew his death was coming though, he made an AI program sometime in-between the year that he met Ren and decided to send it to him in a flash drive a few weeks before his passing.
He never got to send the note about it though, so Ren couldn't figure out what it was for.
I bet someone else will be able to figure it out though! (*coughmaddieyouknowwhoImeancough* XD)
